I have generally heard that South Park's depiction of goths was actually pretty accurate compared to the pop culture depiction of goths as these cool mysterious counter culture types.

I think they are generally liked, but usually when they are alongside other characters. In their first episode they had Stan, as well as the butters sub plot. In the Ungroundable they had butter's vampire plot. But in Goth Kids 3 it was pretty much just them and the vamp kids.

The goth kids create a lot of their own misery, at least we know Henrietta does going by how her family is generally supportive and her mother tries to connect with her. Michael seems to hate the world because he has a small penis, as shown in the episode TMI. Pete has never really had much focus, and Firkle seems to be legit the most fricked up of the group, being willing to stab Kenny. But the overall point was that even if you are going through tough times acting like the goth kids do, in which you wallow in circular misery, being unproductive while acting like you are somehow superior to everyone else is unhealthy. Not that you can't have bad experiences just because there are people starving in africa.

Cartman was still able to beat her when it came to strategy, but she decided to not give a shit and go for it anyway, and since it doesn't take much to be physically stronger than Cartman, she won. It honestly could've been a boy and I don't think it would've made that much difference, because the point of the episode is that people like Cartman win when you lower your head and let them off the hook. The fight wasn't personal between Cartman and Wendy, it was ideological, that's why an episode like Awesom-O, while being also great, is different.

It would have had to be someone who Cartman sees as weaker. For example a boy from a younger grade, or maybe a ginger boy, basically someone where if he lost a fight to them it would be really humiliating for him and damaging to his ego.

Just frick off with that shit. Awesom-O is better as Butters was actively tormented by Cartman in the episodes leading up to it. All Cartman did in the Wendy episode is make some puns about Breast Cancer.
BCSE isn't enjoyable because girl power, it is enjoyable because Cartman in particular is all bark and no bite when it comes to physical confrontation, so it is amusing watching just how low he will get in his scheming to avoid having to fight Wendy and be humiliated. If the episode was just "Cartman makes fun of breast cancer a few times and then gets beaten up by Wendy" it wouldn't be very funny, but because it has all that lead up to the fight as Cartman pulls everything he can to avoid the fight it makes it so much more satisfying when it does happen and we get to see him get his shit kicked in. And then on top of that, we have the ending where Cartman once again deludes himself into thinking that everyone still thinks he is cool even though he got beaten up by Wendy after boasting about being stronger than her.

What about his battle with Osama Bin Laden? Granted that wasn't exactly a physical confrontation but all the same.
This episode is special, as it was the first South park episode to air after the events of 9/11. I was still pretty young then and also not american, but I imagine for americans at the time they were all feeling really distraught and scared. Matt and Trey clearly wanted to use their show to lift the american people's spirits after the tragedy, so they had the face of their show at the time, Eric Cartman, spend a portion of the episode depicting Osama Bin Laden as a cartoonish buffoon in a Looney Tunes homage. In this instance, Cartman's role wasn't to be humiliated, but rather to humiliate the man responsible for the biggest tragedy on everyone's mind at that time, so people can find a moment of happiness laughing together. So Cartman was allowed to be the winner here, but more so just make use of Looney Tunes logic ala bugs bunny messing with Elmer Fudd. It isn't like he was going to beat Wendy the same way because Wendy wasn't a cartoonish buffoon like Osama Bin Laden was.

I think it's interesting that Kenny is the one character absolutely everyone likes. They already did that with the hate crime episode, what would be the point in repeating that same plot again? The board game episode wasn't even a boy losing to a girl, it was a self proclaimed trans grown woman losing to girls at board games.
South Park has never really had a history of making fun of black people for being black, unlike making fun of white people for being white or israelites for being israeli. Black people are always depicted as normal people who often get treated unfairly, or have to react to weird shit from other characters. Even when there are black characters acting stupid, the thing that's being made fun of is them being rich or famous, not them being black. Chef at best was a parody of blaxploitation, but other than that was one of the most friendly and reasonable residents of South Park. Starvin Marvin was obviously referencing poverty in africa, but him and his people were the reasonable ones having to put up with annoying white missionaries and Sally Struthers. South Park has always depicted black people as normal reasonable people compared to how they depict white people.
You may say that's not fair, but considering American history they probably don't want their show to be known as the show that rips on black people all the time. Imagine trying to tell a bunch of israelite jokes in germany, it probably won't end very well for you, unlike america where you are more likely to get away with it.

I think they are generally liked, but usually when they are alongside other characters. In their first episode they had Stan, as well as the butters sub plot. In the Ungroundable they had butter's vampire plot. But in Goth Kids 3 it was pretty much just them and the vamp kids.
Their voices, personalities, roles/episode plots are boring. I genuinely cannot tell you their personalities beyond being boring sassy b***hes and the vamp Michael being a Jack Spicer tier homosexual but way lamer. They can't carry an episode by themselves, they're background fodder.
Characters like Nathan and Jimmy have more going on for them.(more than Stan and Kyle). Chars like The Mole and Josh Myers are far more memorable and preferred to make a comeback just like Loogie and the Minecraft british kid.
I'm sad The Mole isn't a playable character in the games.

No I havent really had much experience with goths, that's just what I have heard other goths say about them online. I figure the point of the goth kids is that despite being apart of a group that is heavily against conformity, they expect everyone in their subculture to conform to their expectations of what goths should be. "That's not REAL goth", etc. It is pointing out the hypocrisy of anti conformist groups.
The goth kids create a lot of their own misery, at least we know Henrietta does going by how her family is generally supportive and her mother tries to connect with her. Michael seems to hate the world because he has a small penis, as shown in the episode TMI. Pete has never really had much focus, and Firkle seems to be legit the most fricked up of the group, being willing to stab Kenny. But the overall point was that even if you are going through tough times acting like the goth kids do, in which you wallow in circular misery, being unproductive while acting like you are somehow superior to everyone else is unhealthy. Not that you can't have bad experiences just because there are people starving in africa.

Anyone else thinkSouth Park has become insufferable the last couple of years? I don't mean I'm a nostalgiagay, but these last seasons have become PC and gay as frick. And what's with all the anti-White shit? They were too pussy to make the Karen meme accurate by describing it as an entitled woman, and instead made it about White people in general, not even White women. Also the board game episode this season or last, can't remember, when they had the girl humiliate the boys who didn't think girls could play. Old South Park would have had the exact same build up only for the girl to end up losing badly anyway. Also this season they had Stan apologize for calling something "gay" lmao
The board girls episode also ripped on trannies. New south park is significantly worse but it's mostly because they're not funny anymore. They still rip on the same stuff. They were always pro-gay. Trey is clearly a fricking homosexual, and the big gay Al's big gay boat ride episode was from season 1 or 2 I think. Also when south park was starting out, the whole poster children of the "white people be like" joke were rednecks and hicks, who they made the butt of jokes for that topic. The main difference now is that the collective image of "white person" is just different. They could easily work with it and still make the show good, but the biggest setback is that they're just not funny about it.
I feel they now reach to rip on White people by exaggerating twitter stereotypes, while being too pussy to rip on any other race at all. They even made Randy seem silly for pointing out how Token's dad dressing up as Irish was cultural appropriation, when it's actually a valid point. So, by his definition, he's wrong, because they have done a girl being successful against Cartman before. Anyone who has that takeaway is kinda stupid, I think it characterizes Wendy well as someone who, unlike Kyle who's all bark and rarely any bite, and is just as biased to be offensive in his own right despite what he'd like to have people believe (he and Cartman have a lot in common), is able to follow through on her threats. Cartman was still able to beat her when it came to strategy, but she decided to not give a shit and go for it anyway, and since it doesn't take much to be physically stronger than Cartman, she won. It honestly could've been a boy and I don't think it would've made that much difference, because the point of the episode is that people like Cartman win when you lower your head and let them off the hook. The fight wasn't personal between Cartman and Wendy, it was ideological, that's why an episode like Awesom-O, while being also great, is different.

It would have had to be someone who Cartman sees as weaker. For example a boy from a younger grade, or maybe a ginger boy, basically someone where if he lost a fight to them it would be really humiliating for him and damaging to his ego.

Just frick off with that shit. Awesom-O is better as Butters was actively tormented by Cartman in the episodes leading up to it. All Cartman did in the Wendy episode is make some puns about Breast Cancer.
BCSE isn't enjoyable because girl power, it is enjoyable because Cartman in particular is all bark and no bite when it comes to physical confrontation, so it is amusing watching just how low he will get in his scheming to avoid having to fight Wendy and be humiliated. If the episode was just "Cartman makes fun of breast cancer a few times and then gets beaten up by Wendy" it wouldn't be very funny, but because it has all that lead up to the fight as Cartman pulls everything he can to avoid the fight it makes it so much more satisfying when it does happen and we get to see him get his shit kicked in. And then on top of that, we have the ending where Cartman once again deludes himself into thinking that everyone still thinks he is cool even though he got beaten up by Wendy after boasting about being stronger than her.

What about his battle with Osama Bin Laden? Granted that wasn't exactly a physical confrontation but all the same.
This episode is special, as it was the first South park episode to air after the events of 9/11. I was still pretty young then and also not american, but I imagine for americans at the time they were all feeling really distraught and scared. Matt and Trey clearly wanted to use their show to lift the american people's spirits after the tragedy, so they had the face of their show at the time, Eric Cartman, spend a portion of the episode depicting Osama Bin Laden as a cartoonish buffoon in a Looney Tunes homage. In this instance, Cartman's role wasn't to be humiliated, but rather to humiliate the man responsible for the biggest tragedy on everyone's mind at that time, so people can find a moment of happiness laughing together. So Cartman was allowed to be the winner here, but more so just make use of Looney Tunes logic ala bugs bunny messing with Elmer Fudd. It isn't like he was going to beat Wendy the same way because Wendy wasn't a cartoonish buffoon like Osama Bin Laden was.

Weirdest Cartman difference for me is how in seasons 1-3ish he hated Kenny the most out of his friends, but after that he switched to hating Kyle for the rest of the show's run.

I think it's interesting that Kenny is the one character absolutely everyone likes. All the other characters have fans who find them obnoxious, even the friendliest or the most popular, but nobody ever has anything bad to say about Kenny. the best thing about Kenny is that because his speaking roles are limited, he doesn't get to say stupid shit that would ruin his character like his friends do.

They already did that with the hate crime episode, what would be the point in repeating that same plot again? The board game episode wasn't even a boy losing to a girl, it was a self proclaimed trans grown woman losing to girls at board games.
South Park has never really had a history of making fun of black people for being black, unlike making fun of white people for being white or israelites for being israeli. Black people are always depicted as normal people who often get treated unfairly, or have to react to weird shit from other characters. Even when there are black characters acting stupid, the thing that's being made fun of is them being rich or famous, not them being black. Chef at best was a parody of blaxploitation, but other than that was one of the most friendly and reasonable residents of South Park. Starvin Marvin was obviously referencing poverty in africa, but him and his people were the reasonable ones having to put up with annoying white missionaries and Sally Struthers. South Park has always depicted black people as normal reasonable people compared to how they depict white people.
You may say that's not fair, but considering American history they probably don't want their show to be known as the show that rips on black people all the time. Imagine trying to tell a bunch of israelite jokes in germany, it probably won't end very well for you, unlike america where you are more likely to get away with it.
