Ah yes, the episode where infinite velocity turns humans into salamanders and Paris rapes Janeway. Truly, the greatest piece of televised science fiction ever.
That episode was a poor choice, it was too slowly paced. With the TNG one he did, it was a fast paced, well received and iconic episode. While that voyager episode is iconic, it's iconic for being one of the worst. I'm not sure what voyager episode would have been ideal though. I don't think it will break 50K views, where the TNG one has half a million.
>That episode was a poor choice, it was too slowly paced.
Condensed down to 5 minutes.
We got several shots of ships and shuttle in an 'epic' chase.
Most of the crew. Warp and transporter effect shots. Phaser fire. Cute weird lizards. >one of the worst
That's just like, your opinion man.
>Condensed down to 5 minutes.
I meant it was too slow even after being condensed to 5 minutes. >That's just like, your opinion man.
True, but it's one shared by many fans, and critics.

You're assuming that the creator has a high opinion of Voyager, when in fact the opposite may be true.
>went from TNG to VOY >skipped DS9 >For as long as I live, you will not be welcomed anywhere in the Klingon Empire. Your family will be removed from the High Council, your lands seized, and your House stripped of its titles! You will have nothing!
The fact that the animator hasn’t been given a full Star Trek animated series to work on is dumbfounding. This has so much more heart and soul put into it than Lower Decks or prodigy
TNG was always good except for all the Troi's mother episodes. DS9 was bland, boring, grating and childish (Babylon 5 was straight up amazing, genuinely the best scifi series ever & blew it out of the water). And Voyager was a cure for insomnia until they added Jerri Ryan & her catsuit.

You think these guys are the great-grandchildren?
The episode is not even that bad.
Did I say it was bad? I literally called it "the greatest piece of televised science fiction ever".
I smell smarm.
YES .... yes it IS !!!!!
The first half is fine. It really should've been two separate episodes.
Janeway admitted that she probably initiated mating with him anon, why would it be rape if they both were incapacitated?
Courts side with the woman 99% of the time.
That does sound like her, really
They further evolve into some kind of humanoid species with those face whiskers. Looking like Space Asian
Incredible.
as a non-trekkie, that was pretty entertaining, somehow the limited visuals fit the slow pacing

Yes, I provided a quantifiable metric to prove it was a poorly received episode.
Clearly it didn't or it would have more views. The TNG one is only 2 minutes, This one goes on too long.
>it would have more views
>Why does something that came out 2 months ago have more views than something that came out today?
The other one broke 100K views in the first 12 hours. This one only just broke 1K views after 4 hours.
You forget that it was also April Fools Day when the first one dropped
He missed April Fools and released on April 12th, so I don't think that had much effect. It's more so that TNG has more fans than Voyager.
I liked Voyager more than DS9.
But the pacing and subject fit for a Animated Trek episode

I dont judge it that harshly as the TAS itself was extremely slowly paced.
It was the writer's barely disguised transformation fetish episode, right?
This weirdly made the episode better

What the everloving frick is wrong with you
Show had the perfect opportunity to be something new and unique for the franchise. But muh status quo.
At least the characters were mostly pretty good. Even Neelix got some good episodes here and there.
Neelix had some really dark episodes centered around him. The one where he questions the existence of the afterlife still sticks with me
>skipped DS9
We all make mistakes. You can go back and rewatch it.
>Garak the Animated Series
I skipped ds9 too. I could never figure out when it was on. Pre internet problems.
The fact that the animator hasn’t been given a full Star Trek animated series to work on is dumbfounding. This has so much more heart and soul put into it than Lower Decks or prodigy
Sad.
I like the backgrounds in this one more than the TNG one.
Yeah.
Considering how well received The TNG one was I’m sure they put a ton more effort into this one
I still can't believe how they fricked up Voyager, it was like the perfect concept for a follow up Star Trek series to TNG.
Meamwhile Deep Space Nine basically broke the franchise's conventions and proceeds to be the Star Trek show to date.
Personally I enjoy Voy more than DS9 and while Voy definitely had its missteps it was much more of a fun wild ride
That may be true but it had more seven of nine in it.
I fricking loved Voyager.
On the subject of Gazelle Automations, what do you think of Miikshi?
