Doctor Strange VS. Kang will be the focus of the Multiverse Saga, like Iron Man VS. Thanos was the focus of the Infinity Saga.

I don't care. I don't like marvel movies, I haven't for a long, long time.
That feels like an odd rivalry that they only are using because they don't have any other good ideas or stars available.
Strange’s job is to protect the space-time continuum, and MoM emphasized how his powers can impact the Multiverse in positive and negative ways. Plus he's probably Marvel's most popular non-Spidey main hero at the moment. It makes more sense than pushing Carol or Sam as Kang’s nemesis.
Kang-digy kangy-there!
in hindsight MOM should've had Kang and Strange meet.
>Iron Man VS. Thanos was the focus of the Infinity Saga.
it was?
>it was?
In his own words, Thanos lived rent free in Tony's head long before he actually did anything on-screen. It was THE threat that he feared most, and that paranoia fueled everything from his panic attacks to the creation of Ultron and splitting off from Cap in civil war out of guilt.
That 6 year buildup is also why I don't know if Strange can pull this off.
>thanos vs iron man
that wasn't the point at all. It was all about saving the future even with a sacrifice hence the daughter scene.
Thanos/Ironman had zero conflict other than he is the villain
QUESTION I don’t know a lot about Kang and quite frankly I’m not sure I’ve ever read a comic that actually heavily featured Kang. But I thought he was a time guy not a multiverse guy?
Yeah he's time travel but multiverse stuff is all the rage ever since Rick and Morty so him and Doctor Strange are multiverse guys now.
Strange being the multiverse guy makes sense at least, especially after Hickman had him leading a multiversal cult in an effort to stop the beyonders.
Kang just doesn't have the it factor. The big villain should be someone like Dormammu, Galactus or the celestials
>Kang just doesn't have the it factor. The big villain should be someone like Dormammu, Galactus or the celestials
This, What moron thought itd be a good idea to overexpose Kang by having him be the villain of almost every movie and show in this phase?
He's been the villain of one (1) film, and made a couple of appearances in a show.
The twisr is that Strange is going to be the villain of Kang Dynasty.
Too much, it took years for Thanos to finally appear and when he did he pretty much steamrolled everyone
Galactus has Silver Surfer for that
>Too much, it took years for Thanos to finally appear
Thanos had cameos every year since his first appearance in 2012.
>Galactus or the celestials
so, force of nature characters with no real characterization?
Galactus has a personality nu Marvel cuck.
>like Iron Man VS. Thanos was the focus of the Infinity Saga.
That was never a thing, and considering there's multiple Kangs that wouldn't even make the same threat. You can't say he'll just team up with alternate Stranges either, since in MoM we see they're either dead or villains.
Nah, IW/EG definitely drew parallels between Stark and Thanos as futurists “cursed with knowledge”, Stark outright refers to Thanos as his nightmare, and Thanos demonstrates respect for Stark and is the only Avenger he is even aware of.
But Kang controls Strange now, as Strange is corrupted by the Darkhold.
So are they trying to retcon everything in mcuverse to be his doing in some way?
Strange is not under the Darkhold's influence, though. He's just experiencing the physical and mental side effects of dabbling with dark magic.
And Kang has nothing to do with the Darkhold anyway.
Is Cumberbatch having problems getting roles or something?
>Actors actually enjoying Blockbuster roles.
Perish the thought.
Doc strange seems like a fun role. It's doing jazz hands all the time and floaating on wires
>We won
Lmao
Uncomfortable truths thread right? How about the fact all these outrage farms like Nerdrotic and Critical Drinker are basically honorary Disney employees.
Why can't Cinemaphile admit Kang has been an underwhelming villain
Maybe people simply have different opinions than you do.
