>Writer Robert Venditti revealed via Twitter he’s working on a sequel to Superman ’78. A sequel hasn’t yet been officially announced, but Venditti pointed out the cat was out of the bag via his bio in the Superman ’78 hardcover released this week.

Good
Neat
Wake me up when we get Superman '98 and Batman '97
>the return of Otis.
Venditti is hit/miss most of the time.
This was a hit imo
Responsible for one of my new favorite Superman quotes

Hopefully, Batman 89 does NOT get a sequel.
Probably, it WILL get a sequel. Hopefully, they change Hamm and put a better writer this time tho.
It sold too well to not get a sequel
Also DC has to be running out of ideas for Batman books at this point
Honestly though Batman 89 is almost universally hated and the delays killed any momentum the book might’ve had
Excellent.
This is just about the only DC comic I've liked in the last few years. What else was as good?
the crossover denied in the 80s
Since we got Kandor and the Els back in the first series, I think Kara is a natural for the sequel.
Wonder if he'll use Mr.Myx . Id like to see how they'd turn that into a "movie"
What villain should they do? Brainiac is gonna be hard to top without going totally moronic
Bizarro, I think. Superman Reeves already fought an evil version of himself in III and an evil duplicate in IV but since both were scraped it's time to do an actual working take.
Why?
Reeves was terrible and his bumbling pussy Clark Kent was poison.

I think Superman The Movie is extremely overrated but this comic was far better
go to bed byrne
Awesome Vendetti’s take on Donner Superman was fantastic
Would love to see some more cameos too
Riggs and Murtaugh on vacation or Bill Murray's Scrooged character giving his monologue on TV in the background
What cameos were in the first? I only remember the movie characters.
There were the Goonies prominently in the last issue and there's another one currently escaping me
The Goonies had a speaking role so that one was definitely in the script so we can give at least some credit to Vendetti
