Sure is nice to have a complete story without any sequels, spinoffs or retcons that undermines the themes of a hero's rise, fall and redemption.

Who's Anakin's father?
No one knows and that's how it always will be
Since I am not a fat millennial manchild I can live my entire life without needing to know this information.
2 black lesbian witches
Anakin's mother is a slave, do the math.
Cannonical father. Its where Annie gets his greed (for eternal life.)
>Who's Anakin's father?
He didn't have a biological father, but his "creator" was Darth Plagueis, who manipulated midichlorians by Force and planted them in Shmi Skywalker's womb. At least in Episode III, this is strongly implied, and it makes the most sense, because in this way Palpatine not only kills Plagueis, his master, but also manages to put Plagueis' creation, Anakin, under his will.
Did you ever hear the tragedy of Darth Traj edy the tragic? It was quite uplifting.
Imagine having one of the coolest settings ever made, and you decide to fill with gays and Black folk.
and make more money :-p
nobody will be talking about these work trash spinoffs in 5 years, let alone 20. but the original trilogy will still be watched, discussed, and held in high esteem. try as you may, you are but a fart in the wind xD
The prequels were designed with the Clone Wars spin-off material mind though.
>Anakin having an apprentice.
>Bringing back Darth Maul
>Biochip retcon
>Introducing the Witches of Dathomir
Yeah no, fanfiction at best.
Wrong Clone Wars. The original multimedia project is an integral part of the prequel films.
lol
lmao even
You forgot something homosexual.
TCW was Lucas’s passion project, it’s canon and nothing you say will change that, cope and seethe homosexual.
Nah, Red Tails was Lucas' passion project. He phoned everything in on TCW and it shows.
Worst part of the old canon.
slop
>TCW was Lucas’s passion project
was he really that involved? I thought it was just a Filoni show with George being a sort aproving or rejecting filoni's ideas
>was he really that involved?
Yes.
Dude, Filoni wasn't even sure Anakin needed a padawan, it was George's idea to give him a padawan, Ahsoka (then Ashla) wasn't even supposed to have anything to do with any of the OT/PT characters.
I will simply continue ignoring its existence.
>clone wars
Are you moronic or something? Episode two is called ATTACK OF THE CLONES
Are you people seriously defending the prequels now?
If you were born a decade earlier you would be sending death threats to Lucasfilms
Ahistorical baby boys throwing tantrums about stupid shit made for kids. Why do you even watch gay space fantasy in the first place. Watch a real film cultivate a fricking personality
>Watch a real film cultivate a fricking personality
Sorry I don't eat the israeli shit you consume, troony
I used to hate the prequels but then I matured and stopped taking SW so seriously.
I can take them as a very flawed retelling of paradise lost.
even the most crappy prequels have cool shit like duel of the fates and obi wan detective stories.
the new shit is just unfiltered diarrea.
>prequels
>mediocre movies
stop with the politically motivated revisionism, go watch aotc and tell me that isn't a total piece of shit
>disney started shilling gays into saying it was good actually leading up to TFA's release
I remember this too, even the new cast got in with the prequel apologia, no one cared to push back because it felt like better times were right around the corner for star wars
>If you were born a decade earlier you would be sending death threats to Lucasfilms
Are you just now realizing that middle aged losers are not the predominant voice on this board?
>Ahistorical baby boys throwing tantrums about stupid shit made for kids.
Who's the one throwing the tantrum here?
>Are you people seriously defending the prequels now?
We've had prequel fanboys since disney started shilling gays into saying it was good actually leading up to TFA's release
Cinemaphile has always defended starwarspreq unfortunately.
>seriously defending the prequels now?
It's the contrarian kneejerk. Not that the prequels don't have some merit, but pretending that they were a seamless expansion of the story is disingenuous and most prequelgays know this deep down.
Dude, the prequels were so bad, with miscast actors, overabundance of green screen, and lame spaceships it made me hate Star Wars
Garbage series with a fanbase of perpetual children.
I used to love these characters and stories. I had all the toys when I was a child. What Disney puts out these days under the SW brand is a disgrace. One of my kids wanted me to buy him a toy from one of these new shitty woke shows they do and I just completely lost the plot. There's no way I'm letting some plastic bisexual toy into my house and no son of mine will think it's acceptable to ask for it either.
you are a sad individual
TPM had a lot of silly things that undermined anakin's character and everyone noticed that.
not everyone of us were born after 2015,little zoom zoom.
based
Reminder that there are only 3 Star Wars.
>literally one good movie
>most popular slop of all time
You're right. In my opinion, only the Star Wars original trilogy films and the Star Wars prequel trilogy films are canon. The Star Wars galaxy is vast, containing countless worlds and countless beings. Even so, Star Wars in my eyes is ultimately the story of one man, one human, from that vast galaxy - Anakin Skywalker. Star Wars is the story of the life of Anakin Skywalker - his rise, his fall and his redemption. Star Wars is one film divided into six parts and, in my opinion, it is the greatest film of all time. Star Wars is one story divided into six episodes and, in my opinion, it is the most ambitious story ever put to film. Love doomed Anakin in the prequel trilogy and love saved Anakin in the original trilogy. The central message of Star Wars (if there is indeed any message) is that love conquers all - even the stars themselves. Star Wars teaches us that nobody is beyond redemption, not even Anakin Skywalker. We're all gonna make it, bros. And that's pure kino.
Except the sequels retkoned and ruined a lot of shit?
Boba fett is not just a cool character, he's the main plot, the force is now a bunch of cells in your body, anybody can have a lightsaber, darth vader built c3po and anaking is a lame homosexual
remove the three on the left and i agree
remove the slop on the right and i agree
kek the prequels suck just as much as the Disney sequels. Your opinion must be discarded anon.
>kek the prequels suck just as much as the Disney sequels.
And Episodes V and VI of the OT suck almost as much as the prequels. The only good SW movie was Star Wars (1977) (later renamed Episode IV - A New Hope), everything after that was shit reusing the same tropes over and over again (a token Black character, an old and wise Jedi Master in a frog's body, "I am your father", "You have a twin sister, Luke, it's Leia", a second Death Star, etc.). This shit was inconsistent from the very beginning, the dialogues were crappy even then, and this whole "from a certain point of view" nonsense is the main reason why we have shit like The Acolyte now, because when everything can be interpreted "from a certain point of view", nothing is truly meaningful, you can create a story where the Jedi are evil and the Sith are good, and "from a certain point of view" it will be as canon as everything else these days.
I've seen some schizo nonsense on this board before but blaming a bad tv show on a throwaway line of dialogue from 40 years ago might take the cake
>I've seen some schizo nonsense on this board before but blaming a bad tv show on a throwaway line of dialogue from 40 years ago might take the cake
If it weren't for that line, which wasn't just a line, but reflected the director's entire attitude towards his own movies ("nothing is permanent, and even if I made something true in one movie, I might change my mind later and explain it somehow in hindsight"), we wouldn't be in the situation we're in now, where "the Force is female," where Anakin didn't really save anyone or anything, and the universe was saved by Rey, Palpatine's granddaughter, and everything like that. Oh, and Maul somehow survives being cut in half, while Qui-Gon dies from a slight scratch in his abdomen, yeah, totally believable, thanks, George, very cool. First it was "Luke, Darth Vader killed your father, though I'm sorry I didn't tell you the whole truth, that's just my point of view, he actually is your father and he only killed your father metaphorically", then it was "Luke, you have a twin sister and it's Leia, isn't it convenient that you saved her in the first movie and only found out about your parentage in the third?", then it was TPM which introduced us to Sith (instead of the Dark Side, as they were known in the OT), then it's the midichlorians instead of the Force, and so on. It's even worse then when comic books constantly retcon characters' origins, at least there it can be explained somehow: alternate universes, time travel etc. In Star Wars, nothing. Just trust Lucas, he's a genius, he knows it better.
>Just trust Lucas, he's a genius, he knows it better.
I mean he does objectively know Star Wars better than anyone else on earth
I hate most Disney slop but Rogue One is a worthy addition to the saga as a fun side story
Yep, Rogue One is good (although CGI Tarkin and Leia looked terrible), but it spawned the whole Andor saga, and that's not what Star Wars fans wanted. The series itself may be not that bad, just a bit slow and boring sometimes, but it has nothing to do with Star Wars as a franchise.
I didn't want Andor either but I'm glad it happened. It's the only worthwhile thing Star Wars has produced since 1983.
lmao no
Then Star Wars has produced nothing worthwhile since 1983.
>Then Star Wars has produced nothing worthwhile since 1983.
*since 1977
lmao no
Are you one of those prequelgays
Rogue One is the only Disney Wars movie to have some actual WAR in it.
Disney Wars is not Star Wars. Star Wars ended in 2012.
Blessed thread. I hide every dislop threads on sight
I concur.
>EU slop
>M*ra J*de
Out with fanfiction slop. Not Star Wars.
>acting like george lucas is the authority on anything
lol, enjoy your yidsney sloppa fella. ill keep to my own
>Sure is nice to have a complete story without any sequels, spinoffs or retcons
You're right.
Definitive tier ranking of ALL star wars films. Cope.
