There is no race more demented than the white race
In context this is all meant to be horrific and shocking. It is the surprise as they figure out it isn't a ship but a huge fricking monster. What does the white man think looking at all that? They become ghouls, reveling in suffering. As they always have.
There's a lot of footage not in the film they shot (like with a lot of movies).
Who knows what some of that footage may be... even if just a minute of it.
You have been in every thread since the movie released salivating over the possibility of an extended cut of the vore scenes. Are you white by any chance? Just asking.
I enjoyed it.
It was a clever concept.
The scene with jean jacket shitting the Jupiters Claim crowd all over the horse people’s house was cool. I was happy to get a sense of scale of the cryptid.
2 things I didn’t like.
1. The protagonists were much more diverse than the victims, both of jean jacket and Gordy.
Most white people on screen were NPC cannon fodder. Even (or perhaps especially) white children:
If someone black or Hispanic or Asian showed up, you could tell they would be important.
The other thing that bothered me was how fricking irritating emerald was.
Was that deliberate?
She was the stereotypical loud and obnoxious black woman showing up late for shit, promoting the movie business equivalent of her mix tape.
Dancing when she walks, playing loud music.
Is peele trying to normalize this behavior or promote it as quirky and fun or did he make her unlikeable on purpose?
>She was the stereotypical loud and obnoxious black woman showing up late for shit, promoting the movie business equivalent of her mix tape. Dancing when she walks, playing loud music. Is peele trying to normalize this behavior or promote it as quirky and fun or did he make her unlikeable on purpose?
I was very skeptical of this because good alien abduction kino is few and far between but the way it tied into the animal behavior theme was really engaging and cool and you can tell Peele knows a lot of dumb Ufology shit he integrated into the monster
I actually don't find Peele "horror" movies scary or good, but I like the concepts he plays with, feels like he has some nightmares and then he writes them down and makes a movie of it, the problem with his horror movies is that they do not have suspense, or maybe they do for black people idk, but most of the stuff I watch in his movies come out as entertaining or action-like rather than horror-esque, except for the first third of US which had some suspense but still not as high as with real horror films
>most of the stuff I watch in his movies come out as entertaining or action-like rather than horror-esque
I agree. It's like how Aliens is a more action-oriented sci fi film with horror elements rather than the straight suspense-driven horror of Alien.
Peele himself explains that only black people have the sense to say "NOPE" when they see something dangerous (jean jacket), for them it's probably pretty suspenseful
>OJ saw the UFO whirrr a guy so he jumped on his heckin' horse >The UFO flew overhead and the guy that was being slowly digested made screaming sounds, yikes >It Gave me the chills >So when OJ said "nope" I clapped
I did actually. He’s a dude whose family has achieved something approximating generational wealth (or at least some sort of legacy) and he hones a skill and works hard to maintain it.
His sister comes across as lazy and entitled trying to get discovered by being extroverted and loud but she just comes across as an annoying nig
despite what anons will say Otis doesn't show many aspects of autism aside from his reserved nature. he doesn't seem upset by loud noises, he doesn't show an inclination toward repetition and he responds to most situations like a normal adult would. the only difference is otis just isn't talkative, which is an extremely bad fit for a job in hollywood. I've known dozens of dudes like Otis who are totally normal and just don't like talking all that often. Otis only appears anti social in a few hostile environments as well; he seems to have a working relationship with Jupe and gets along fairly well with everyone we see him interact with. Even the hostility with his sister is very normal given the circumstances and he has the emotional complexity to recognize how the jean jacket event effected her and navigates it pretty well.
that's fairly common among introverts. anyone who just isn't very social is uncomfortable with eye contact because it's so intimate. In fact a lot of autistics will never break eye contact as a learned behavior and other folks find it really unnverving because you're not suppose to stare into each other's eyes like bethesda NPCs when talking.
The alien didn't like eye contact either, is it autistic?

The alien is absolutely an autist. Did you see how it behaves?

you know what happens when you make eye contact with some animals? like a Gorilla? or a Cat? hell even a fricking dog. You know why experts tell you to lower your head and back away slowly?
eye contact can mean a lot of things but usually in nature its a challenge or a threat hence why peele just tosses it in as part of his big animal safety PSA. also I think its just kinda freaky to have the idea of "if you look at it then it gets you".
> Also, I liked when OJ was escaping on a white bronco.
You clever shit. Did you come up with that yourself or is this lifted from somewhere else? Be honest
>The protagonists were much more diverse than the victims,
Stupid take. In movies where white people are the protagonists, tons of white people who are victims die. Nobody actually cares. Jordan Peele is just known for having original black protagonists. Sick and tired of people mentioning this. You don't need white people as the protagonist in every single original movie, and Peele actually writes black protagonists properly.
>The other thing that bothered me was how fricking irritating emerald was. >Was that deliberate?
The answer is Yes, even OJ was annoyed by her at times. Also this is how a good chunk of black women already are.
>Is peele trying to normalize this behavior or promote it as quirky and fun or did he make her unlikeable on purpose?
Peele is writing realistic black characters. There is no "promotion" like in Marvel cinematics.
I think it's sad that people expect black/asian/etc directors and writers to not prioritize their own race and culture in their work. This is part of the reason why movies are being destroyed by raceswapping. Instead of accepting that x race will prioritize their own race (unless it's a historical piece) we start saying white people need diverse casts and black people need diverse cast and asian people need diverse cast.
Great, if Peele wants to make movies for black audiences, blacks can watch them, I won't. Blacks are ugly, annoying, and stupid, and I don't want to fricking look at them.
>If a black man won't make movies for a white audience I won't watch it
Then don't you fricking sub-80 IQ dipshit. Just stop pretending you never knew why his main characters were always black. I bet you complained about Tyler Perry movies too. homosexual.
> people expect black/asian/etc directors and writers to not prioritize their own race and culture in their work
I don’t think they expect that, they’re just mad that white people aren’t given the same leeway
That poster is deliberately being racist for the sake of being racist, but what I'm saying is other races complain about whites not being diverse, and not we're getting to the predicament where if whites must be diverse all others must be diverse, and it ruins filmmaking, while stunting successful opportunities for all races.
I enjoyed it.

Dancing when she walks, playing loud music.

is saying.
The protags skew POC but the victims of the monkey and the alien thing skew white.
Maybe it’s some sort of commentary on the “token black guy who gets killed first in a horror movie” meme
Presumably the UFO form is it's tighter hunting form and what we see at the end is a lower energy resting form, maybe one that lets it absorb nutrients in the air or get ready to sleep. Presumably this is the form it takes when its in the cloud and not hunting.
Probably this. The movie had built it up as a wild animal. Same as the chimp, a wild animal that can fly into a rage if you don’t know wtf you’re doing around it and you piss it off through body language.
Eye contact has always been a minefield across cultural boundaries (polite, impolite) and especially with other mammals (pretty much a challenge or threat).
I thought the final form was supposed to be a threat display.
Agreed probably a threat display.
This movie's pointless, dude. It's really bad.
The movie is about exploring relationships with animals and how if the boundaries are respected you can get along with animals but if you frick up or misunderstand the animals they can easily kill you. Understanding those relationships can save your life and even work in your favour.
It's a combination of things. The implication, since it's an awful way to go, the sound design, and the unexpected nature of it. It's kinda too bad that the whole movie basically exists for that one scene and is pretty forgettable otherwise
Honestly he should've gone all in on the scene. Like full on show people melting into flesh mulch and drowning in the gastric juiced kind of imagery. Keep it going for a whole minute, make Jupe survive long enough to see all the people his stupid ass got killed as he too melts.
I mean that would've been effective but I'm glad he didn't. Partly because I'm squeamish just thinking about it, and partly because going too far risks crossing the line between enjoyable scary and disturbing scary. Peele has his niche making slightly goofy horror, and a psychotic scene like that would destroy his audience (and also me)
Yeah.
I guess his face right before they all got sucked in already hammers home Jupe's realization he just got forty people killed including his family. He probably was the only one there that worried he was about to get eaten and not abducted. Other people in that crowd may have obliviously still thought they'd see greys in there until they were finding themselves stuffed through tubes of flesh and burning from acid.
Nah. It’s a good movie.
I wouldn’t pay for it because the way peele talks about white people and the way he treats his white characters seem to betray a distaste and condescension to white people and for better or worse I’m white and I don’t give people who hate me money if I can avoid it.
Pay for a ticket to another movie and sneak in to watch nope
Yes thank you. Good to see someone else get it in this thread. It's actually a great story about the 2 types of Hollywood rangers. The ones who build trust the animals over time and the people who think they have a special connection with the animals and take super and dangerous chances.
It was really good. I enjoyed it. For modern Hollywood it had a pretty original monster and story.
It was also shot pretty nicely and that's a bonus
Jupe was basically the film's antagonist. OJ loses his father to the UFO thanks to Jupe's frickery, the UFO is fed his father's horses by Jupe exploiting OJ's need to sell horses to keep the ranch. Jupe the whole time is trying to regain fame at the expense of OJ and his horse ranch. I just wish OJ and Jupe interacted more. Maybe OJ asks a few too many questions...

We don't know for sure if that was from Jup feeding it at that time but we do know that it hung around because Jup kept feeding it. I'm still not sure if it's made clear

Are you moronic? The UFO ate a bunch of hikers on its own and that is not Jupe's fault. If you didn't fricking realize OJ and his sister essentially tried to do the SAME FRICKING THING JUPE WAS DOING, yet Jupe is evil? No. OJ and Em weren't planning on stopping the UFO like superheros, they were either going to run away like cowards ( and not even report it) or try to gain fame and money off of it albeit to preserve the ranch, but still money and fame.

No, Peele's just a shitty writer. Us didn't make any sense either.
What a boring premise. Fricking garbage movie. Word of mouth is going to destroy this lame shit, it was so pointlessly hyped. Peele's made two flop movies and two flop TV shows in a row, and nobody even knows about that priest movie he's got coming out, I hope it's over for him. He's got no clue what he's doing. Gave him a fricking Oscar, what a joke.
Get Out was a great movie but I'm not watching this or Us entirely because Jordan Peele is a racist jackass who says shit like how he wants to never hire whites
I don't care if he does or doesn't demonize whiteoids in either of those movies, it's clear he's a delusional shitheel and I won't support his work
One of the main characters is white. It's fine you can get over it. Most artists are completely moronic. They can make stuff you can like without having to give a shit about the moronic nonsense that comes out of their mouths.
They're basically children, no impulse control
Childish Gambino and Kanye are the epitome of this. fully narcissitic jackasses who only consults with their crackpipe before they open their mouths but goddamn do they have some talent.
Sam Hyde is also a complete jackass when it comes to most of his "politics" but also a comedy genius. In this day and age you really do just have to seperate the artist from their work and enjoy them as just two seperate entities and PRAY that their personal life choices doesnt bleed over into their work too much
like how Elliot Pages gender change made them rewrite the umbrella academy just to suit her personal identity crisis. that was so fricking unprofessional. movies are not about YOU the actor you absolute mong child. its about the ART and telling a story not that the Umbrella academy is high "art" or anything but you get the point.
They get crazy isolated. Surrounded by entourages who do every little thing for them and tell them how amazing they are.
That footage that just came out of drake flinching from a bee as the people around him desperately try and swat it away.
I really don't think that shit is good for those people
I think thats what the implication was, especially with that bible quote in the beginning and the whole “whats a bad miracle” but I think he purposely made it vague for different interpretations.
If it's presumed that the Steven Yuen character already knew about the UFO and was feeding it horses during the daily shows he was running, and the UFO eats whatever maintains eye contact with it... why wasn't Steven or the previous audiences eaten up already? They were obviously all making eye contact with the UFO every show leading up to the final one where the UFO actually eats them all up
Also, why didn't they just use a long distance HD camera to film the UFO? It looked like the UFC only cut out the electricity within like a half mile radius. They have cameras that film multiple miles away
> If it's presumed that the Steven Yuen character already knew about the UFO and was feeding it horses during the daily shows he was running
Presumed by what?
> So did he know about the UFO and feeding it horses prior to the actual show?
Yes but Jupe thought the UFO was a normal UFO with tiny aliens inside like in the movies and not a giant creature that eats things. > What were the daily shows about prior to the one where the UFO actually shows up?
Boring cowboy shit probably

Was Jupe thinking tiny people piloted it? That doesn't make sense given his interactions with it were more consistent with handling animals. I had the impression he knew what it was but was fine playing into the idea it was a UFO piloted by greys to other people. So his face when that suction began was one aware of what was to happen to him and everyone there.

Like if he thought it was piloted by LGM you'd think he'd try to have talked to them instead of feed it horses.

Nope, when he was being sucked in he probably thought he was once again being “chosen” for something special, that the aliens would take him aboard and be his bffs or something. It looks like he’s smiling when it’s happening.
he explicitly says he's watched the UFO every week at the same time for the last six months but presumably he hasn't been publicizing it with the shows. they probably just run basic stunt shows otherwise.
>You'd think with something like a UFO, there'd be more people attending and guests from previous shows showing up again to see something like that
It was his first show, and it's a theme park. People think it's clearly fake when they go. If everyone survived, they'd spread it by word of mouth and it'd get bigger crowds guaranteed.
[...]
That was the first show. He wasn't a pathetic character at all.
he explicitly says he's watched the UFO every week at the same time for the last six months but presumably he hasn't been publicizing it with the shows. they probably just run basic stunt shows otherwise.
There were no previous audiences. That was the first showing. What OJ heard the night before was a rehearsal. It's implied that the aggression on eye contact was because it was pissed after getting the fake horse stuck in one of its holes.
So you're saying the eye contact thing wasn't actually a thing until the UFO ate the fake horse? I didn't get that from watching.. Now I'm confused even more
It started feeling attacked and started acting more aggressive and territorial.
They use ghost to drive the aggressive territorial animal point home right at the beginning of the movie
>So you're saying the eye contact thing wasn't actually a thing until the UFO ate the fake horse?
Jean jacket is an animal, just like Gordy the chimp. The valley is it's territory and it probably never realized it was being fed by Jupe at all, just getting lucky. It had no reason to suspect Jupe or any other humans meant it harm and it was being fed so it had no reason to be hostile. Once it ate the decoy and was injured it began to connect the dots and view humans as a threat so it began killing them in self defense. Note that it leaves Lucky alive but waits for OJ to come, implying it's using Lucky as reverse bait. Without the Decoy event it's possible Jupe could have successfully fed Jean Jacket, but the existence of Gordy in the story is meant to show even a passive animal is extremely dangerous, so the show event was going to happen eventually.
Yeah I really thought this all was pretty clever. And it was really nice to see a movie about Hollywood animal ranglers. It's an interesting part of the history of Hollywood and it doesn't get talked about enough. Especially in the old days
>it was being fed so it had no reason to be hostile.
It ate hikers, so there's no telling what else it ate. >Once it ate the decoy and was injured it began to connect the dots
Wrong, once it ate the decoy it became afraid of eating anything with rainbow ribbon attached to it. > it leaves Lucky alive but waits for OJ to come
Lucky was covered by an opaque ceiling in its box. The alien could not see it's eyes. OJ at that point did not know he just didn't have to look at it, and was constantly looking at it while calling Lucky. The creature can still see things that isn't staring at it, but as demonstrated later on when OJ stood under it but didn't look at it, it did nothing.
>even a passive animal is extremely dangerous
UFO wasn't passive, Gordy wasn't passive. It was more about showing how animals are used for entertainment when they really belong in the wild.
I think it's supposed to be a dangerous flesh eating anima

whats the deal with the woman with the freaky mouth?

But he said the ufo didn’t eat people but when it got the horse stuck it started killing people out of self defense. Doesn’t add up but I agree it sort of made sense because of you rewatch the audience get sucked up scene. The UFO is doing the tornado thing while inside the cloud as it was going towards the audience, so maybe it was trying to vomit the horse thing but got frustrated.

>But he said the ufo didn’t eat people
It ate the hikers at the very beginning of the movie, and is why OJ's father died.
>when it got the horse stuck it started killing people out of self defense
The UFO ate the hikers at the very beginning of the movie before having the horse stuck inside it. The UFO was able to digest all the people regardless of the horse being inside of it. The horse was supposed to run far far far away and lure the UFO away from the people during the show. Because the horse did not (as Jupe practiced) the UFO came to the horse instead. The horse was inside a floor mounted box and that is why it was not sucked up.

Also, Jupe was not experienced with horses, and Lucky was one of the more stubborn horses. Jupe made the mistake of not understanding the horse, which also got everyone killed.

a big part of the gordy plotline is explaining Jupe's point of view on animals. Jupe was the only person unscathed by gordy's rampage and may have assumed he had some special connection with animals. Its not a stretch for Jupe to think if he had acted sooner he could have saved gordy or maybe even saved someone else. this would be reinforced by his sightings of Jean jacket and embolden him to try and 'tame it'. Otis on the other hand actually worked with animals day in and day out and instinctively understood looking an animal in its eyes is almost always a sign of aggression, and by using that logic he was able to survive the attack. it plays into a bigger film motif about how films are made; Jupe is the forward facing actor who is all flash and ego but ultimately incompetent while OJ lacks any charisma but is fundamental to the operation working.

Stop repeating this, it's wrong. Jupe knows that Gordy snapped and couldn't be stopped. Jupe's flaw is that he thinks he can avoid the alien "snapping" without understanding why Gordy snapped in the first place. Answer, he's a wild fricking animal.

I'm not ignoring anything, you're analysis of "he's trying to tame it" is just wrong. No one in their right mind can tame a skyscraper alien creature in the sky. He clearly was aware it ate the hikers too since he had been watching it for so long.
He explains in the story that Gordy has a "trigger" which leads him to believe that by avoiding a trigger he can prevent catastrophe. His flaw is he doesn't understand animals, their triggers or why they do things. OJ understands this, which is why he and his sister were able to acquire the fame and fortune in the end.
Tame and "saving people" is just so grossly incorrect here. If Jupe intended to save anybody, he would've simple taken pictures/recordings of the creature first and then reported it to the authorities. Nobody in their right mind thinks they can stop a wild animal barehanded and with mental fortitude.

>Nobody in their right mind thinks they can stop a wild animal barehanded and with mental fortitude
he's a washed up child actor pining for his glroy days anon. he's not normal.
Jupe says he fed it every week which implies he's only feeding it once, but we see it attack the ranch on consecutive days. It was probably eating up the wild animal population and any humans in the valley outside of this. Eventually it was probably going to go after Otis and his father and then the fairground just because it would be out of other sources.
Yes. You are correct. They make several subtle references to him unveiling something special for that performance. Thanks for also watching the movie good pal
Also in the last show when the UFO eats him and the audience... The stadium is like half full.. You'd think with something like a UFO, there'd be more people attending and guests from previous shows showing up again to see something like that
I thought it was implied that he was buying horses from OJ to feed to the UFO. Like OJ sold him 10 horses already. I assumed that he was already feeding the UFO prior to the official show
>You'd think with something like a UFO, there'd be more people attending and guests from previous shows showing up again to see something like that

That was the first show. He wasn't a pathetic character at all.
Yes we didn’t get to see how he met the UFO, that’s up to us to decide how that shit went down. Heck the UFO probably isn’t a UFO and it is a creature that woke up from a 5000 year hibernation period. Or it can be a physical manifestation of Jupe’s internal shock of the monkey incident since Jupe never let that shit go.
Not watching this shit
really just waiting for someone to make webms of the mass abduction/eating scene and the scene of the ufo regurgitating blood on the house because from what i've read those are the only two scenes worth seeing
Let me get this straight. People on here were asking about what's the connection with the chimpanzee and the alien when the tv show that it was on had a space theme to it. Not only that (the intro showed Steven Yuens character with the animal looking up with a telescope). There's a lot of connections and themse going on alone with the TV show intro alone that connects back to the movie and the characters
But why? That’s the real question. The theme of “animals are dangerous” really isn’t that interesting, so what does the chimp plot actually add to the film?
>so what does the chimp plot actually add to the film?
People would rather risk lives by using dangerous animals for fame and money than just removing dangerous animals.
the reason the audience was so small was because it was a test screening for the press. His wife mentions this when they enter the office in the beginning of the film
It’s kinda weird how the biblical themes were included, and the creature is vaguely angelic in it’s true form, but the film does nothing with that, instead just being a re-telling of jaws. Felt unfocused, like there were some raw ideas that should’ve been partitioned for another film
another one of these morons, not a single time in the bible a creature like that is mentioned, angels are either energy in the sense of the air being energy or straight up beings with human forms (and no wings that was added by the romans) not even in revelations, the most surrealistic book of the bible a single angel like figure like that meme of "biblical accurate angels" is mentioned, the only thing with such weird descriptions is the devil, but angels are often described as human like beings or straight up just energy like when god sent the angel of death to kill all the first sons of egypt, and it was pretty much a wind going from door to door in each home
It was cool. I was a little confused on one thing though, the Asian guy was feeding it right? You'd think someone would have gotten the authorities involved.
Unrelated to the movie, but my entire theater clapped when Nicole Kidman showed up to tell us about AMC, was based. Also frick the Oppenheimer trailer for showing up right before the movie. It threw me off, and made me think the opening with the chimpanzee was just another trailer
My theater also dimmed the lights before the Oppenheimer trailer, implying the movie was about to start.
Anyone know the significance of the coins raining down? why coins?
Also, why did OJ where the hoody with the round light thingies attached to it? It looked like they mimicked eyes, which is what he was trying to avoid in the first place? eye contact? Or was it intended to mimic eyes to get the UFO to follow him?
The alien couldn't digest metal. The falling coins and keys were its poop.
Oppenheimer and Nope have the same distributor, so they were probably sent to the theater as a package. The other trailers which preceded it were selected by the theaters.

yes and in fact this is semi common in real animals. Tigers have tiny dots on the backs of their ears to ward off predators, and orcas' have massive white splotches around their eyes to give the impression they have much wider cones of vision
You sound like you like getting your ass fisted
Also like you'll say whatever you think people want to hear to get along with them
In other words, like a gay and a pussy
>that scene straight up traumatized my little brother (14 yr old) in the theater. He told me afterwards he couldn’t focus on the rest of the movie bc he was only thinking of that. I feel like that scene was just gratuitous violence, at that point in the film it was already clear what had happened and the relation to the story, it didn’t need to be shown further in my opinion
Imagine if Steven Spielberg had a shot of the lawyer getting swallowed by the trex in Jurassic park. Like full on seeing the lawyer movie inside the trex throat, but it did hammer home the idea that this isn’t a normal ufo.
in Men in Black when Agent K "goes to get his gun back" you see him swallowed by Edgar and him even swimming around in his big alien guts so honestly this wasnt that bad.
also Im not sure if you've ever watched the movie "The Host" but there are lots of scene of innocent people getting swallowed whole by the fish monster and its even a main plot point where one of the family members at the very beginning gets dragged away and eaten while the moron-kun screams in anguish.
now THAT movie is actually way more fricking traumatizing especially because of a certain scene in the sewer which I wont spoil. But its in the same vein as the blood-shower in terms of "holy fricking shit. that is demented" and kinda serves as this threat-re establishment scene of just how dangerous the main creature is..
Just got back from the theater, was pretty good but much slower than it needed to be. This did not need to be over 2 hours. I knew it was a bad sign right at the beginning when it said "produced written and directed by", that always means there was nobody to tell them to cut pointless scenes like the cinematographer singing purple people eater, or the title cards with the animal names.
I caught a guy trying to steal the movie by taping it today. I got the cops outside and got him kicked out. I was talking to the cop and trying to see if I could get racism charges on the guy as well. Imagine stealing a black underprivileged mans movie , taking his potential profits for your privledged self?
Was the alien the reason the chimpanzee attacked? I was thinking that it eained coins / metal which caused the balloons to pop. It was also explain the shoe standing up, it got pinned by something but idk
Yes, he was dying anyways. And it would have been more pleasant the the crowd had it. TMZ reporter mostly dead, no horse statue impaling you so it is nice and soft in there. Getting those shots was very much worth it. He even saved the Feys guy to ensure someone would preserve the footage in his honor.
I mean a good picture is immortal and pretty invaluable. remember those people who went in to take pictures of irradiated objects like the Elephants Foot? or people that go into active combat area's with a camera so the folks back home can know the horrors of war? expedition teams who go into perilous places or an occasional dumbass who goes TOWARDS the Riots? TOWARDS the tornado/hurricane? I honestly kinda understand his motif. Camera people are a bit unhinged or outright fearless and this guy was one of those type of people
that movie was great but the guy was just a sociopathic psycho overall. He only chose to be a camera man because it was easy legal cash. If you want a real life example theres this camera guy who shoved his camera in this anaconda's face point blank while in the amazon river.
but also lol talking about stupid cameras reminded me of this
Peele movies reminds me a lot of the horror films I used to watch as a kid, I was a very scared kid, very easy to scare, s I watched light hearted "horror" films that weren't really scary as they didn't have suspense and as a kid I was able to watch without getting really scared.
Peele horror films feel a lot of films like Hocus Pocus and Monster House, with the slight difference that his films are very grotesque of crude in a way, not really a lot but they tend to have se sort of slight gore in them, and that's all, they are very similar to "scary" movies kids can watch
They have a very halloween quality to them. Not like the carpenter film, as in these are movies you can watch during halloween when you don't really want to be scared but want something in the season. There's usually a few tense sequences in them anyway and I just think Nope is really unique.
Get Out is not scary at all it is a weird movie but it feels like a parody of a horror movie, US is kinda scary at the start but the moment they get out of the house of their neighbors it looses all the tension and starts filling more like an action thriller, and this one is the one that felt the most like a halloween movie, zero tension and suspense, the open spaces, daylight, and all that kills all the "horror" a movie can bring plus it has action-like sequences, the only thing different is that this movie is cruel, not scary, just cruel, the same sensations look up left on me
I found the idea of being a passenger in your own body really fricking spooky and the way they went through that was super effective. Us didn't do much for me honestly but the idea of being stuck in those tunnels, subsisting on cold rabbit meat, really stuck with me.
honestly considering there were "doors" to the surface all around but none of them left because....plot? US really wasnt that bad. the real question is rather or not you are FORCED to do whatever your "above" self does or if you have actual free agency. like the mom clearly did but then you had the son who seemed to have burned off his entire face because of how the kid above was entranced by lighters? being puppeteered in that manor is more scary
feels like you have not had many experiences in life then, there are far more scary things, I like the clone zombies of US, and I do not like get out not because I dislike the movie but I dislike the people that like that movie, for me it is a funny film full of irony in it but for liberals and black people it is scary, I think it is scary for black people because they fear whites or who knows and liberals just follow on and act as if they are scared as well just to be in line with black people, I honestly can't see how someone could watch get out and feel scared otherwise
If you made the protagonists of Monster House black you would have a Peele movie, I actually like a lot that movie and I like Peele movies as well but not that much because he is overhyped
>If you made the protagonists of Monster House black you would have a Peele movie,
thats pretty spot on lol. just change the scene with like the dog and the newspaper guy into actual death scenes and yeah. Peele is like a black qiurky R.L. Stine of this generation. He makes "Scary" films not "Horror" films. nice little "Thrillers" for the Mr and Ms's and I think a big part of that is how he always sprinkles comedic relief all through out his films to constantly take people out of it.
I could unironically see Jack Black being in one of these films and actually WORKING which I cant say for a lot of Horror Movies.
get out is a parody movie, and I dislike it because of the people that like the movie, the film is full of ironic parts, thing is most black people can't perceive irony and they found the movie truly scary maybe they are afraid of whites, then the liberal whites who watched the movie realized black people got scared by it and started acting as if they got scared as well just to align their thoughts with black people because they want to be black themselves (just like the guys in the movie kek) nothing about get out is supposed to be scary
I feel like Us stretched its credibility too much. If it was just some experiment with a few dozen families or even a few hundred families, okay. But the movie suggested at least tens of thousands, if not more. I did like the themes and what I felt it suggested. Questions like...
>Is there anything we can gain without expense to others? >For what clearly is gained at others' expense, to what extent? >When you're confronted with that injustice and reminded that these people are just like you, what do you do? What should you do? Is there anything you can do?
Of course for horror sake, the shadows want to fricking kill the family so they have to fight for their lives.
I appreciate Nope for it's simple twist - that we're so accustomed to seeing aliens coming out of UFOs that we didn't immediately suspect the UFO itself being the alien.
If this film holds up over decades, it will have forever impacted the way people think of UFOs and will likely want nothing to do with them.
This one is cruel but i would say its a horror in the first part and an action movie in the second half. It kind of does the alien->aliens transition in one movie.
Regardless of how you would classify this movie though i thought it was well made. I had an encounter with a bear recently though so i might be a bit biased toward this movie.
The shilling for this movie is out of control. It was literally shilled on the NASCAR race on USA Network today. The NASCAR fricking race.
The threads about it are all various ways to say the same shit. Yeah I'm not falling for this one, fgts.

Get Out - overrated, blatantly racist and cringe too, somehow only black people are allowed to make this kind of movie
Us - somewhat overrated
Nope - I think most will agree that at least half of it is genuinely good.
Felt like everything but the CGI ship/alien sucked. Hated the characters (especially the obnoxious sister), nothing happening really made sense (OJ magically determines its a creature rather than a ship based on nothing, same with avoiding “eye contact”).. I mean the ship shuts off the electricity around it right? So how did she operate the electric camera system in the well?
Also: >This is the first video ever taken.. it’s of a black man riding a horse >Everyone knows the name of the man who took the video right? >But.. nobody knows the name of the black man riding the horse?? Whoaaa
Yeah, the first ever film in history is important because it was the first film in history.. nobody gives a shit about the random dude riding the horse.
this shit has been explained in these threads, incluing i'm pretty sure this exact thread thousands of times, it's so obvious but people keep not getting it and keep asking about it
it's literallty a middle school tier parallel, Peele has the depth of an average Hollywood filmmaker (so not much) yet people still manage to not get it
Why can't they make a genuine Alien/Ufo kino? It always has to have some gay twist where the UFO isn't really a UFO. It's always either a government cover-up, or "good aliens", or in this case a fricking animal. This movie was great up until the point where the UFO was revealed to be alive. Before that when the UFO was just barely seen zooming in and out of the clouds and even when OJ saw the aliens in the barn, I thought holy kino, this is going to be good! Then it turns out the "aliens" were kids and the "UFO" was an animal. Huge let down. 6/10.
I'm not watching any new movie, good or bad, until a truly great one hits. Top Gun 2 came close, but was lacking something I can't quite place.
I haven't paid for a movie in several years.
I haven't paid for television in decades and have never and will never paid for a streaming service.
Any time a fricking shill homosexual tells me to watch a movie, or insists I'm "still gonna watch" their trash, I sit comfortably knowing that all they can do is want me to, and I never will.
As for Nope. I'm not even gonna pirate it, and I've never seen a single movie that high-yellow racist has ever shit out from a director's chair. I read the wikipedia synopsis and it still felt like a waste of time.
How does it even know you looked at it to eat you?
How far away can you look at it to the point that it will eat you? Is it like scp-96 and even if you looked at it from a mile away it will just zip over and eat you?
Ohhhhh I now I get why it's called Nope.
As in, Nope, not gonna see this piece of shit.
Is it really vore if the alien doesn't eat them whole?
But it does
nope

White guys are so evil they get off to the pain and suffering of people being digested alive by a UFO monster
Remember that
Wtf are you talking about? Steven Yeun isn't white.

Neither. This is already normal.
>It was a clever concept.
Mind expounding upon it? What was the premise?
It's Jaws but quirky and sci-fi
this but in the sky
>Commercials that you can hear
Did anyone buy those books growing up
is an immense animal-type thing that apparently floats in the air and eats people, it is a good concept to hide a cryptid under the alien facade
Yeah decent premise mediocre execution describes his movies
Peele himself explains that only black people have the sense to say "NOPE" when they see something dangerous (jean jacket), for them it's probably pretty suspenseful
The premise that the ufo was a big monster leaked here months ago im surprised so many people didn't already know it
Did you like Otis JR?
>OJ saw the UFO whirrr a guy so he jumped on his heckin' horse
>The UFO flew overhead and the guy that was being slowly digested made screaming sounds, yikes
>It Gave me the chills
>So when OJ said "nope" I clapped
Nope is like the best title for a horror movie you can have and Peele wasted it on this space dolphin shit. I fricking hate him.
When he said nope everybody laughed
What's wrong with him?
Is he autistic?
thats what most people are thinking, personally I think he just had anxiety and became more withdrawn after his dad died.
despite what anons will say Otis doesn't show many aspects of autism aside from his reserved nature. he doesn't seem upset by loud noises, he doesn't show an inclination toward repetition and he responds to most situations like a normal adult would. the only difference is otis just isn't talkative, which is an extremely bad fit for a job in hollywood.
What about that he doesn’t like eye contact?
that's fairly common among introverts. anyone who just isn't very social is uncomfortable with eye contact because it's so intimate.
Weeping Angels?
the Blair Witch?
IT's deadlights?
Otis had autism. One symptom of autism is an inability to make eye contact. This proved to be an asset for him.
Also, I liked when OJ was escaping on a white bronco.
> Also, I liked when OJ was escaping on a white bronco.
You clever shit. Did you come up with that yourself or is this lifted from somewhere else? Be honest
He didn’t even ride the white one, but good try
Honest quiet dude. Might have had autism.
Annoying little sister was the goal, I imagine.
I would simply assume she was a caricature of obnoxious black people that Peele always makes fun of to be honest.
This, I hated that b***h
This movie fricking sucked
I bet you complained about Tyler Perry movies too. homosexual.
My friend, why are you in the thread?
> people expect black/asian/etc directors and writers to not prioritize their own race and culture in their work
I don’t think they expect that, they’re just mad that white people aren’t given the same leeway
That poster is deliberately being racist for the sake of being racist, but what I'm saying is other races complain about whites not being diverse, and not we're getting to the predicament where if whites must be diverse all others must be diverse, and it ruins filmmaking, while stunting successful opportunities for all races.
what if a cloud was racist?
The shilling for this movie is out of control. It was literally shilled on the NASCAR race on USA Network today. The NASCAR fricking race.
The threads about it are all various ways to say the same shit. Yeah I'm not falling for this one, fgts.
>Upset at advertisements during NASCAR
Does it only kill white people ?
No but i get what
is saying.
The protags skew POC but the victims of the monkey and the alien thing skew white.
Maybe it’s some sort of commentary on the “token black guy who gets killed first in a horror movie” meme
Only white children.
Those kids weren’t white they were hapa
I'm most happy Lucky survived.
Why has no one posted any webms of the alien yet
The real question is will jannies delete it because people are gonna be jacking off to it

Any images of its final form?
No good ones, I've been looking
man i thought we were gonna get some creppy slow alien kino like signs or something. I was wanting to watch until i saw this clip
looks like a bunch of blankets, real frickin scary you half'n'half
What is the point of it having a final form, let alone that?
It is a shelled creature that likely goes between migratory and territorial forms that way.
This movie's pointless, dude. It's really bad.
Presumably the UFO form is it's tighter hunting form and what we see at the end is a lower energy resting form, maybe one that lets it absorb nutrients in the air or get ready to sleep. Presumably this is the form it takes when its in the cloud and not hunting.
Funny I'd assume the opposite, the compact form is low-energy and the folded out form is for being threatening.
I thought the final form was supposed to be a threat display.
Agreed probably a threat display.
The movie is about exploring relationships with animals and how if the boundaries are respected you can get along with animals but if you frick up or misunderstand the animals they can easily kill you. Understanding those relationships can save your life and even work in your favour.
From how the vore scene was described I was expecting way worse.
Is this movie about white supremacist aliens that wanna abduct black people? I don't wanna waste my time.
No, it’s not about race at all. It’s more about animals and how they are used in entertainment
>Animals in entertainment
>Not about race
Yes thank you. Good to see someone else get it in this thread. It's actually a great story about the 2 types of Hollywood rangers. The ones who build trust the animals over time and the people who think they have a special connection with the animals and take super and dangerous chances.
It was really good. I enjoyed it. For modern Hollywood it had a pretty original monster and story.
It was also shot pretty nicely and that's a bonus
then why was he selling his horses to Jup for them to get eaten?
He didn’t know what Jup was doing with his horses
Yeah what the other guy said. He didn't realize what was up until he saw the poster in the horse poop
>Jupe was basically the film's antagonist. OJ loses his father to the UFO thanks to Jupe's frickery
Are you moronic? The UFO ate a bunch of hikers on its own and that is not Jupe's fault. If you didn't fricking realize OJ and his sister essentially tried to do the SAME FRICKING THING JUPE WAS DOING, yet Jupe is evil? No. OJ and Em weren't planning on stopping the UFO like superheros, they were either going to run away like cowards ( and not even report it) or try to gain fame and money off of it albeit to preserve the ranch, but still money and fame.
calm down loser
Watch the movie before posting.
loser
No, Peele's just a shitty writer. Us didn't make any sense either.
He didn’t know. He was trying to buy them back the first time he saw him
What a boring premise. Gave him a fricking Oscar, what a joke.
what were his last thoughts
>Why won’t my phone turn on?
WORLDSTAR
Anyone got movies with actual vore and mawshots?
this is the best vore we've ever had, but we won't have complete cam rips for a bit I think. Half of it is out there
Get Out was a great movie but I'm not watching this or Us entirely because Jordan Peele is a racist jackass who says shit like how he wants to never hire whites
I don't care if he does or doesn't demonize whiteoids in either of those movies, it's clear he's a delusional shitheel and I won't support his work
Never hire whites? There were white actors in all his movies so far, many of them with main roles
I really don't think that shit is good for those people
So Jordan Peele is a fan of Eva?
Yeah probably. Black nerds are the dorkiest weebs
the ufo was an angel. Nobody gets it?
Presumed by his character literally running multiple daily shows prior to the one where the UFO actually eats them
Damn you’re either esl, a third worlder pajeet or stupid.
He ran multiple daily shows but never with the UFO. The UFO show was a new big event he even says that when he invited OJ and his sister.
So did he know about the UFO and feeding it horses prior to the actual show?
What were the daily shows about prior to the one where the UFO actually shows up?
I thought so too I just didn’t want to type all that shit out
Nope, when he was being sucked in he probably thought he was once again being “chosen” for something special, that the aliens would take him aboard and be his bffs or something. It looks like he’s smiling when it’s happening.
he explicitly says he's watched the UFO every week at the same time for the last six months but presumably he hasn't been publicizing it with the shows. they probably just run basic stunt shows otherwise.
thank you for the explanations anons
There were no previous audiences. That was the first showing. What OJ heard the night before was a rehearsal. It's implied that the aggression on eye contact was because it was pissed after getting the fake horse stuck in one of its holes.
So you're saying the eye contact thing wasn't actually a thing until the UFO ate the fake horse? I didn't get that from watching.. Now I'm confused even more
It explains why it never ate Jupe during their 6 month nightly practice together.
How is it more confusing? It explains how Jup was able to feed it horses without it freaking out and eating his wife.
>It was more about showing how animals are used for entertainment when they really belong in the wild.
What a brave take from Peele
Are the horses a metaphor for black people?
I thought it was the chimp
Then how does the hikers being killed at the beginning fit in your theory? Did you forget?
He didn't have any free horses to eat and a mf gotta eat
I think it's supposed to be a dangerous flesh eating anima
l
Yup. You got it
But he said the ufo didn’t eat people but when it got the horse stuck it started killing people out of self defense.
Otis on the other hand actually worked with animals day in and day out and instinctively understood looking an animal in its eyes is almost always a sign of aggression, and by using that logic he was able to survive the attack. it plays into a bigger film motif about how films are made; Jupe is the forward facing actor who is all flash and ego but ultimately incompetent while OJ lacks any charisma but is fundamental to the operation working.
>may have assumed he had some special connection with animals. Its not a stretch for Jupe to think if he had acted sooner he could have saved gordy or maybe even saved someone else. this would be reinforced by his sightings of Jean jacket and embolden him to try and 'tame it'.
Stop repeating this, it's wrong. Jupe knows that Gordy snapped and couldn't be stopped. Jupe's flaw is that he thinks he can avoid the alien "snapping" without understanding why Gordy snapped in the first place. Answer, he's a wild fricking animal.
>ignoring the part where immediately after making eye contact with jupe Gordy drops all aggression and goes back to following his stage instructions
So what you're saying is... around blacks... Never relax?
Yes. You are correct. They make several subtle references to him unveiling something special for that performance. Thanks for also watching the movie good pal
Dude.. I'm just asking genuine questions about the movie? Sorry I'm not as smart as you are. Jesus Christ why are you so mad
I'm not. I wasn't being sarcastic at all. You picked up on a lot of good subtext
This was fricking TERRIBLE
2nd weekend drop is going to be gigantic, this is one of the worst movies ever made
>this is one of the worst movies ever made
Anon if you truly believe that I have a movie list for you.
Dude I've seen ten times as many movies as you, this shit is GARBAGE
Movies this rips off/is worse than
Jaws
The Crawling Eye
Foes
Akira (just the one shot)
Don't forget Fire in the Sky
how is the chinese guy running a show about a ufo eating horses for that long without like someone knowing lol?
He's korean
Also in the last show when the UFO eats him and the audience... The stadium is like half full.. You'd think with something like a UFO, there'd be more people attending and guests from previous shows showing up again to see something like that
Think it was just supposed to show what a pathetic character he is. I think that was his first show with a crowd, everything else was practice.
I thought it was implied that he was buying horses from OJ to feed to the UFO. Like OJ sold him 10 horses already. I assumed that he was already feeding the UFO prior to the official show
>You'd think with something like a UFO, there'd be more people attending and guests from previous shows showing up again to see something like that
It was his first show, and it's a theme park. People think it's clearly fake when they go. If everyone survived, they'd spread it by word of mouth and it'd get bigger crowds guaranteed.
That was the first show. He wasn't a pathetic character at all.
was there something I missed regarding how he came into contact with the ufo ?
Yes we didn’t get to see how he met the UFO, that’s up to us to decide how that shit went down. Heck the UFO probably isn’t a UFO and it is a creature that woke up from a 5000 year hibernation period. Or it can be a physical manifestation of Jupe’s internal shock of the monkey incident since Jupe never let that shit go.
Yeah it's probably some kind of fricked up ancient jellyfish manta ray angler fish thing
It is the reason Jupe doesn’t call the military to kill the alien and avoid the deaths of everybody in the crowd.
>so what does the chimp plot actually add to the film?
People would rather risk lives by using dangerous animals for fame and money than just removing dangerous animals.
So Jup really thought audiences would pay to see a cloud eat a horse?
(*-s-*) this is how you spoiler (*-/s-*)
Get out the thread
ok, but let me do a 360 degrees turnaround and walk away
The alien was controlling Gordy and the mantis
the reason the audience was so small was because it was a test screening for the press. His wife mentions this when they enter the office in the beginning of the film
So what's the significance of calling the alien "The Viewers" and why hasn't this name stuck more than "Jean Jacket"
Because he was under the impression it was a manned craft I guess. It's not a plural creature.
Why are you so interested in a movie that you won’t watch?
It’s kinda weird how the biblical themes were included, and the creature is vaguely angelic in it’s true form, but the film does nothing with that, instead just being a re-telling of jaws. Felt unfocused, like there were some raw ideas that should’ve been partitioned for another film
Heres your answer as to why it's like that.
what biblical themes?
he is a moron who has never read the bible but has seen subversive videos about the bible in YouTube like "biblical accurate angels"
another one of these morons, not a single time in the bible a creature like that is mentioned, angels are either energy in the sense of the air being energy or straight up beings with human forms (and no wings that was added by the romans) not even in revelations, the most surrealistic book of the bible a single angel like figure like that meme of "biblical accurate angels" is mentioned, the only thing with such weird descriptions is the devil, but angels are often described as human like beings or straight up just energy like when god sent the angel of death to kill all the first sons of egypt, and it was pretty much a wind going from door to door in each home
Vore is trash
whats the deal with the woman with the freaky mouth?
oh, was she a survivor of the chimp thing?
>this is the level of intellect on Cinemaphile
Yeah
It was cool. I was a little confused on one thing though, the Asian guy was feeding it right? You'd think someone would have gotten the authorities involved.
Unrelated to the movie, but my entire theater clapped when Nicole Kidman showed up to tell us about AMC, was based. Also frick the Oppenheimer trailer for showing up right before the movie. It threw me off, and made me think the opening with the chimpanzee was just another trailer
My theater also dimmed the lights before the Oppenheimer trailer, implying the movie was about to start.
The alien couldn't digest metal. The falling coins and keys were its poop.
Its also the reason why blood is also dropped from it when the horse statue is stuck in it since it can't take the time to properly digest.
Why did they put the Oppenheim trailer separately anyways?
Oppenheimer and Nope have the same distributor, so they were probably sent to the theater as a package. The other trailers which preceded it were selected by the theaters.
Anyone know the significance of the coins raining down? why coins?
Also, why did OJ where the hoody with the round light thingies attached to it? It looked like they mimicked eyes, which is what he was trying to avoid in the first place? eye contact? Or was it intended to mimic eyes to get the UFO to follow him?
yes and in fact this is semi common in real animals. Tigers have tiny dots on the backs of their ears to ward off predators, and orcas' have massive white splotches around their eyes to give the impression they have much wider cones of vision
Nice, thanks anon
Enjoy missing most of the good stuff in life because you're too petty and small minded.
It's really going to do great stuff for you in your life
You sound like you like getting your ass fisted
Also like you'll say whatever you think people want to hear to get along with them
In other words, like a gay and a pussy
>that scene straight up traumatized my little brother (14 yr old) in the theater. He told me afterwards he couldn’t focus on the rest of the movie bc he was only thinking of that. I feel like that scene was just gratuitous violence, at that point in the film it was already clear what had happened and the relation to the story, it didn’t need to be shown further in my opinion
Do you agree with this redditor?
>that scene
Being???
Monkey.
Yeah he vomits skeletons
>the blood shower in NOPE
>the skeleton vomit in HOST
>all the ashes and clothes falling from the sky in War of the Worlds
is there a name for scenes like this?
It's a horror movie with a rating intended for those over 15 (at least in Australia). What did they expect?
I hate people who ignore film ratings.
Yeah I thought the title cards felt unnecessary and out of place.
The Chimp WAS the ufo anon Jupe never made eye contact with the chimp so it wasn’t aggressive with him like it was with the others
Was the perfect shot worth dying for?
Yes, he was dying anyways. And it would have been more pleasant the the crowd had it. TMZ reporter mostly dead, no horse statue impaling you so it is nice and soft in there. Getting those shots was very much worth it. He even saved the Feys guy to ensure someone would preserve the footage in his honor.
Yes it's history that's why they make a big deal out of the great great grandpa being in the first ever film.
Camera people are a bit unhinged or outright fearless and this guy was one of those type of people
>Camera people are a bit unhinged or outright fearless and this guy was one of those type of people
Nightcrawler
that movie was great but the guy was just a sociopathic psycho overall. He only chose to be a camera man because it was easy legal cash. If you want a real life example theres this camera guy who shoved his camera in this anaconda's face point blank while in the amazon river.
but also lol talking about stupid cameras reminded me of this
?t=6
Who?
Qrd plox
Get Out is not scary at all it is a weird movie but it feels like a parody of a horror movie, US is kinda scary at the start but the moment they get out of the house of their neighbors it looses all the tension and starts filling more like an action thriller, and this one is the one that felt the most like a halloween movie, zero tension and suspense, the open spaces, daylight, and all that kills all the "horror" a movie can bring plus it has action-like sequences, the only thing different is that this movie is cruel, not scary, just cruel, the same sensations look up left on me
*don't look up
I found the idea of being a passenger in your own body really fricking spooky and the way they went through that was super effective.
I barely ever watch nascar but even i know this shit
This was definitely his scariest movie, in my opinion. Not the entire time, but parts of it felt like straight up horror.
That's exactly how I feel about his movies
This must be the most attention you've gotten today.
I'm happy to give you at least the small amount of human interaction you need to carry on for one more day.
Keep reaching for that rainbow, anon
Attention? Lol
Black people are garbage and you're a cuck for worshipping them, you loser
If you think that's a controversial opinion somebody's trying to be edgy by saying, you don't live in the real world
Go drink more black semen you danger haired homosexual
Wow you're really obsessed with fricking black dudes. You keep talking about it. Nobody brought that shit up until you did

Girl, so I don't feel gay about wanting to frick the thing
Would you still frick it if it was a boy?

Very cool LARP.
Basically what's going on. It's extremely telling what's making money and what's not lately.
except Nope made more than half of it's budget in two days
Holy cope.
Nope
AAAAHHHH NOOOO I'M GETTING SUCKED UP BY AN ALIEN SPHINCTER
That didn't fricking take long.
>movie has already spawned whirr vore fanart
and here i was thinking a furry would do that first
That was fast holy shit
The homosexual-Black person obsessed media lauding of Get Out guaranteed that I will never willingly view a Black person Peele movie.
That and the unfunny fricking trash that was Keye & Peele, made fricking MAD TV look sophisticated and nuanced in comparison.
God I fricking hate Black folk so much, they aren't funny, even Richard Pryor wasn't fricking funny.
Kill all Black folk.
Okay
Get Out - overrated, blatantly racist and cringe too, somehow only black people are allowed to make this kind of movie
Us - somewhat overrated
Nope - I think most will agree that at least half of it is genuinely good.
>even Richard Pryor wasn't fricking funny
imagine being this cringe
So are you guys all paying to see this or is it up somewhere? I almost never go to the movies anymore. This crap isn't getting me to buy a ticket.
The cinematography and sound design are very good in this movie. I'd recommend seeing it in theaters.
Also:
>This is the first video ever taken.. it’s of a black man riding a horse
>Everyone knows the name of the man who took the video right?
>But.. nobody knows the name of the black man riding the horse?? Whoaaa
Yeah, the first ever film in history is important because it was the first film in history.. nobody gives a shit about the random dude riding the horse.
>
jfc did that really happen
they would if he wasn't black
it happened irl b***h
>Electrical camera system
It was crank-operated. Very primitive technology.
What was the point of the monkey flashbacks? Why did they make that a motif of the flick?
this shit has been explained in these threads, incluing i'm pretty sure this exact thread thousands of times, it's so obvious but people keep not getting it and keep asking about it
it's literallty a middle school tier parallel, Peele has the depth of an average Hollywood filmmaker (so not much) yet people still manage to not get it
Why can't they make a genuine Alien/Ufo kino? It always has to have some gay twist where the UFO isn't really a UFO. It's always either a government cover-up, or "good aliens", or in this case a fricking animal. This movie was great up until the point where the UFO was revealed to be alive. Before that when the UFO was just barely seen zooming in and out of the clouds and even when OJ saw the aliens in the barn, I thought holy kino, this is going to be good! Then it turns out the "aliens" were kids and the "UFO" was an animal. Huge let down. 6/10.
>yeah it's mid
>no I didn't understand the chimp scene
unironically all vorecels should be beaten to death
wow rekt
unironically all vorecels should be eaten to death
I read the wikipedia synopsis and it still felt like a waste of time.
>literally mentions watching a 2022 movie in the second sentence.
Black folk can't read lmao
WHERES THE HYPNOSIS YOU FRICKING homosexualS
its felt like a mediocre outer limits episode plot that was given a big budget
Vore would have been better with hypnosis.
How does it even know you looked at it to eat you?
How far away can you look at it to the point that it will eat you? Is it like scp-96 and even if you looked at it from a mile away it will just zip over and eat you?
It's just Black person shit. Nothing was stopping it from just eating people.
You've been saying the same thing in every thread. Nobody cares
>How does it even know you looked at it

>>The Alien is autistic
So the movie is about autism?
