Someone played No More Heroes 3 recently
nope waiting for the pc port but i have played almost all of sudas game
i want something more comedic to have some more variety
If you like Lynch you'll probably like Gozu.
what about audition? is gozu funny or just surreal?
gozu is just surreal. check out visitor q i hear its funny
heard a lot of vistorq
are these directed by miike?
any other films of his you guys would recommend? something comedic
i really like sono sion's whispering star and most of takeshi kitano's work even tho its very mundane or something similar
Look at his filmography
there is a ton
yeah gonna start audition or visitor q, Travis tsa is my fav out of the nmh games
>visitor q
that's my personal fave, aside from dead or alive 2: birds, but i think audition or ichi are the best starting places. gozu's a bit overrated imo. it's like, we get it, you're gay for your brother lmao
i'm loving nmh3 so far, haven't been playing it much but yeah. still haven't beaten it. i just play it when i feel like it.
the happiness of the katakuris is kino too, as is the korean original on which it's based
Since 2017 these have been the only thing he’s been doing
>becomes an old man
>now he only directs low-key pedo shit
damn, japan is... yeah...
If you want comedy, Happiness of the Katakuris has a pretty nice comedic element to it.
Personally I started with his Black Society Trilogy, all have variety in their different stories, with nice 90's grit
If you like jidaigeki films, 13 Assassins or the Hara-kiri remake
His Graveyard of Honor remake is also great for the cool editing of some scenes, it ramps up in craziness especially towards the end
For character dramas, his two Young Thugs movies are fun
start with this or audition
i've been playing that, pretty based
Yeah I think it's a good starter. Gozu is more experimental.
start with the magical girl tv shows
I fricking hated this shittty film.
This was one of the most disappointing movies I have ever seen. The main dude on the cover looks very awesome but every fightscene is really lame and mostly offscreen. The film had style but no stylish flare. The set and characters looked good but the directing was really rubbish.
Still, the nipple being cut off with a razor blade and scraping on the metal table is a haunting noise that gets in my heard sometimes.
>The film had style but no stylish flare. The set and characters looked good but the directing was really rubbish
Welcome to modern Japanese cinema.
this film gets good about halfway through around when they stop focusing on the Deviantart tier edgelord you see on the cover
watch one missed call instead
its not japanese.
stfu
what genre is it?
why?
i love japan but let me be the first to say Takeshi Miike is not a good director. He's schlocky and overuses shock value too much. Audition might be his only great film.
the rest are good to mediocre
Japanese cannot act
Tatsuya Nakadai in harakiri. Toshiro Mifune in High and Low/Yojimbo/Sanjuro
Japanese women can't act
>Japanese women can't act
watch some kore-eda or ozu and fricking tell me that the japanese can't act you absolute pleb
IZO 2004 is perfect starter
i wish we have blue ray version of that movie
hard time finding these movies, since i mainly relied on internet archive to find older movies any other sites?
don't know what you're implying but i played the first game on the ds
>1.3 gb
actually thats what we got
there is no better version
for asian movies better check avistaz
invite based, any other sites
dunno, but there is 6gb verson of izo
avistaz
Ace Attorney
Hahaha you you homosexuals memoryholed this, didn't you?
Yes. Also Fudoh, One Missed Call and the kino 13 Assassins remake.
Ichi or Audition are probably some of the best starting points for his filmography. If you want something more comedic though, maybe start with the Dead or Alive trilogy
try and link him audition so he doesnt see the poster. Tbh the less you know about audition the better.
https://archive.org/search.php?query=Audition%20Takashi%20Miike, nothing on internet archive
nvm got it
>Dude on the cover isn't actually Ichi the killer
>It is some whimp who cries as he slices people up with his footblade.
