Pros- The team is mostly functional and not dicks to each other.

Cons- Sacrificed an interesting concept in Beast World for another 'Raven turns evil and betrays the Titans again' plot, characters come off as a hive mind at times (not sure if this is the right way of saying things)

Taylor's run is good, better than a lot of the stuff that came before it, but isn't as good as it could be.

Redondo is the biggest hack in the industry. I guarantee he seethes that people love Jimenez and Mora while he’s just known as the homosexual dweeb that works with Taylor a lot.

      >Taylor's run is good, better than a lot of the stuff that came before it, but isn't as good as it could be.
      have a nice day

Jimenez is actually very talented and most artists would just acknowledge that and move on. Redondo is good at his layouts, which someone who has talent to draw isn't always necessarily good at, he might be better later on.

I love Mora by and large but he's being spread too thin even if he is keeping up with the work load.

Redondo is genuinely an awful artist. He’s modern Greg land. Only rather than tracing porn he traces memes and stock images.

            Anonymous

Anon can you even point out other examples of him tracing memes and stock images beyond it being an obvious reference for a cover? eg OP's pic and the Damian cat image?

Actual tracing memes/popular images to try to save time is more pic related where they hide them in normal pages.

            >right
Not his doing but that run is consistent thanks to not going through multiple writers. Same for the art, Redondo and Travis being behind most of the issues adds to the consistency.
            >wrong
Writing is sanitized, dumb and Taylor's make questionable additions whenever he's not rehashing Dixion's run. His characters have all the same voice and Taylor has a tendency to kill any potential drama before it even hatches. The result is as engaging as reading the back of a cereal box.

He's not awful, his art just get boring fast but like another anon said, his layouts are solid. Pretty sure he simply use 3D models, so if anything he is a better Janin.

No, redondo has much better layouts than Land does, and his anatomy isn’t as shit.

                >and his anatomy isn’t as shit
Anon that’s just not true at all. Land’s faces are his major flaw. His composition and anatomy are both quite serviceable.

The shit in OP has awful anatomy and stolen composition. Look at garths’s and starfire’s faces for frick sake. Look at raven’s long ass forearm. This looks like a moron traced it.

      >characters come off as a hive mind at times (not sure if this is the right way of saying things)
No that's right. In all the books I've read from Taylor, all of his characters seem to share the exact same perspective, opinion, and beliefs. There is never any internal conflict on his teams. The only people who aren't step in line with Taylor's politics are the villains of the books.

Question. What's Donna Troy's current origin?

They're back at the original origin. Donna's Tales of the Titans issue referenced Who Is Donna Troy pretty heavily.

Based. That's her best origin and the one that makes the most sense/is the easiest if Diana is old as frick.

          Anonymous

Sucks for the same reason. It means Wonder Woman has been active as a superhero for at least as long as Donna has been alive. Superman should always be the first hero of the modern age.

            Anonymous

Well if Superman didn't have a bunch of civilians grandfathered in to his supporting cast maybe he too could be super fricking old and predate the JSA, Seven Soldiers, etc.

So blame fans on wanting to keep Lois, Jimmy, etc.

Every DC character should get one of those one/two page summaries.

The iconic All Star Superman one
The Batman and How He Came to Be
Legend: Robin the Boy Wonder and How He Became the Ally of the Batman

... How does this give her powers exactly? Amazons don't all have powers.

They blessed her with Amazon magic or something I assume.

          Depends on the continuity

I think in some all Amazons have super strength and flight because of the way they live and train/Purple Healing Ray
          DC Bombshells for example

Which makes sense to me because it makes the Tournament Diana wins more meaningful since they're all on equal footing if she doesn't have extra powers they don't ahead of time

      Donna a cute.

In tights, maybe, but Zatara and Tex Thompson (later given the name Mr America) debuted in the exact same comic he did.

Don't bother. Some Supergays are super insecure about Batman being more popular and choose to take it out on lesser characters for taking away his "first hero" status (as that is the one thing he unquestionably has over Batman). Despite the fact that Supes is the one to be constantly retconned due to a sliding time scale while the JSA et al are the ones who keep their OG timeline of the 40s or whenever they actually debuted.

It has nothing to do with Batman. Superman has been the in-universe center of the DC Universe since the beginning. Superman's debut being the de-facto starting point of the modern DCU shouldn't be up for debate.

It's adequate but in no way feels like "The Titans are the new premiere DC super team filling the JLA's void." They still feel like a second-string team, and it doesn't help that half the time they're fighting threats the team itself has created, like Evil Raven.

That's not true at all. Batman gets turned into Bat-Wolf in the second issue and doesn't get freed till the end of the mini.
