Why did stuff in early 2000s have a 1970s sort of aesthetic?

It's just a soundtrack, no new content.

Glen Murakami really likes the 70s.

Where do people get the 70s feeling from? It's quintessentially 2000s through and through

You were probably just too unfamiliar with 70's pop culture to notice it.

It's just a soundtrack, no new content.

Glen Murakami really likes the 70s.

Wyatt was also a big 70's lover. The show runner for Seasons 1/2 also did Super robot monkey team which had a lot of 70's anime/japanese influence

I mean, I'm sure there are 70s references but that's probably true for every major decade... I could easily argue it's more 50s inspired, what with Mad Mod and the greasers in Car Trouble.

Mad Mod is directly from a 60's comic and inspired by the 60's obsession with England.

Mad Mod is insanely 60s dude, he's literally based off of 60s Mod culture, like that's where his name comes from. His first episode even has a huge Yellow Submarine parody during the chase sequence.

Because stuff in the 90s had a 1960s sort of aesthetic like suburbs everywhere

And the 2010s have 80s nostalgia everywhere

The whole reason Teen Titans as a show even exists is 80's nostalgia.

Why does this look like anime? Is this a spinoff of TTG?

I always assumed the TT soundtrack was just your average 'Saturday Morning Cartoon' music that was in most action cartoons back then. Not a good or bad thing, just average.

The whole thing? Even the battle tournament track?

If you mean the Winner Take All episode, that's in season 2. They said they're looking at releasing the other volumes depending on how this one does
