every podcast with will sasso as a guest i've seen has been hilarious
i wonder if he was ever on joe rogan, that's one podcast i'm sure could shit all over his comedy and ruin every bit
My favorite madtv sketch was him and Debra Wilson fighting in the kitchen screaming at eachother but act nice and polite to the company in the living room. Him in the kitchen screaming "WHYYYYY WHYYYY WHYYY *opens door* "clam dip?" still makes me laugh
I really like that movie. I hope they still make the sequel. There was something said about within the last year on a casting website so hopefully they’re still making/going through with it.
Ya I got a huge soft spot for that movie (the Things That I've Done sequence + the ice cream truck scene at the end come to mind so often to me). I saw an interview with Kelly recently and he was pretty tightlipped which if anything makes me think there may really be something in the works. That Arrow release was super promising (also so glad to see the Cannes cut in full quality), I think even a direct-to-streaming miniseries would be super cool to see considering that it'd be the first real Kelly thing we'd get since The Box.
IT REALLY IS! Its like its a frickin Three Stooges movie what was everyone expecting. You can feel the unabashed passion for slapstick and the stooges iconography jus pourin from every aspect, I would love to see more pure and enthusiastic comedies like it come out today.
>Glad to see another Southland Tales fan though
I don't see how everybody isn't one. Kelly makes enigmatic and interesting shit. I even liked The Box.
>"and if I choose the wrong one?" >"eternal damnation"
Man watching The Box I had like a visceral reaction to the last 30 mins or so in a way I haven't responded to a movie in so long (also shoutout to him jus having so much faith in actors that are considered corny, like Marsden sells that movie in a way I didnt expect). Kelly can like tap into this specific type of "emotional sense" that hits so hard. Reading his Holes script (which is coincidentally a story I was deeply obsessed with as a kid) was another strangely cathartic experience for me.
I totally see that man, I remember hearing an interview with Kelly about his writing process and its like he always starts with these simple genre concepts (Donnie Darko is basically a superhero origin story, Southland Tales started as a straightforward comedic heist film, Holes is originally a basic YA prison escape story which he turns into a crazy post apocalyptic coming of age odyssey, and like u said about The Box) and then he just compulsively keeps adding things to them and convoluting them until they become these like dense crazy tapestries (and he said they come out so weirdly emotional because he uses writing like therapy). It's a really cool way to structure a film I think and its what keeps his movies so rewatchable.
i watched the trailer after seeing the posts ITT and yeah it really does look bad
surprised to see larry david in it too
link a more accurate short video than the trailer?
This youtuber sums it up pretty well in his review. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6jrO1PAZjPk
By no means is it a masterpiece of a movie, but it was a labor of love. Just the fact that Sasso, the gay guy from Will & Grace, and the guy from SIlicon Valley pretty much nailed the voices is testament to devotion the movie has for the Three Stooges.
It’s a shame the majority of the Mad Tv cast went on to be literally who c tier actors in sitcoms and shit. Most of them were legitimately funny and great at impressions.
It’s kind if sad that the Asian lady was probably the most successful of the bunch as Lois Griffin.
Weird movie to remember him for but I remember finding him in Southland Tales pretty funny (the part where the Rock is describing his goofy ass screenplay and Sasso keeps suppressing laughter in particular), and in the commentary Kelly keeps talking about how much he loved working with him
His character had a bigger role in the comics. His arc shows how fricked-up the new border system was in their world. He has to get like some fake pass just to cross back to California. Something like that.
Man thats crazy I was just reading through the first issue of the comics right now which is why he was on my mind. Glad to see another Southland Tales fan though! Would've been so cool to see Sasso explore the character more and get more screentime, bummer all we can do is imagine now
Dudesy is not funny because the vegan guy Will talks to is fricking boring as shit
The dude is allergic to comedy. Watched way too many episodes, wished it was only Willl, every time
Also Chris and Bryan are homosexual rapists
Lemons?
Amazing calves
proof?
Big calves don’t count if your a fat fricking disgusting piece of white trash
Rude.
I was surprised to see him in Best In Show.
Kenny Rogers jackass
He's truly one of the actors of all time.
He stopped being funny the second he stopped being fat.
>stopped being fat
>post sasso
His Stone Cold impression was great
Agreed
He also has the funniest Arnold impression I've ever heard
Https://youtube.com/watch?v=UaatQrBUvhU
in the middle of that episode listening to the list of halloween parties he was invited to when you posted that
Dudesy really is great. It’s nice to see a comedy podcast actually try to be funny.

second
is it actually an AI that feeds them topics or am i moronic? it seems feasible and simple to do something like that
im watching it atm and I'd guess it's probably an AI feed which is basically curated and chosen by someone in charge of the AI
so the things it comes up with are real but they are handpicked to be included into the podcast.
Good at improv. Horrible at everything else
Watch Laudermilk
You're welcome Cinemaphile
>thoughts
Hes underrated
Dudesy.
>what is up with necromancers of the Hyborain Age?
i prefer his brother lou
My favorite madtv sketch was him and Debra Wilson fighting in the kitchen screaming at eachother but act nice and polite to the company in the living room. Him in the kitchen screaming "WHYYYYY WHYYYY WHYYY *opens door* "clam dip?" still makes me laugh
He does a great Jesse Ventura impression.
His Tony Soprano was shockingly good.
NO, You Tell ME about 10,000 gallons of potable water
Don't forget the silo filled with tortillas
That was unfathomably good.
GLADIATOR HELMET FACE
>TMP reunion died because the other 2 are sexual deviants
still mad
Episode 250 onwards are utter trash anyway. It would be horrible in this day and age.
No rape innuendos.
No sexism.
No implied racism.
No Shawna... maybe that's actually a good thing.
Not true, their unofficial reunion on TFATK was fantastic.
He carried MadTv
I liked his role as Tony Soprano, really carried that show.
OP did you just Post Sasso?
sASSoposting
Performance of the decade in Three Stooges and anyone who says otherwise hasn't seen it

(I meant to write “said about it”.)

I think people forget just how fricked-up The Box is. At its heart its just an oddly presented first-contact story.
It would have done far better had it not been given quite literally the worst trailer possible with them specifically showing the Snooki Cameo.
i watched the trailer after seeing the posts ITT and yeah it really does look bad

Always liked the gay plumber skit
PUSS!
MadTV sucked ass

PAX TV Sopranos
performed an honor killing on Randy Newman
Underrated comedic actor but only ever in trash. A true tragedy.
>but only ever in trash
why do you think that is?
That last season of Loudermilk REALLY fricking fell off. But that wasn't Sasso's fault
>wuh
>and That's Sasso Posting Brothur
Why are you posting David Greco?
his tony soprano is scary accurate
Will Sasso is great and TenMinPod was great as well.
So what led to the downfall of TMP?
The overly israeli women (and men) they kept inviting on? Who kept blabbering about feminism and girl power?
Chris Delia effectively only appearing on every third or fourth episode after episode 250, if at all?
Bobi Lee being a backstabbing tattletale?
IT WAS A DICK NIXON LOBSTER
Why does he hate stand up?
source?
His calves would feed a family of four for 3 months.
Dudesy is not funny because the vegan guy Will talks to is fricking boring as shit
The dude is allergic to comedy. Watched way too many episodes, wished it was only Willl, every time
Also Chris and Bryan are homosexual rapists
>not knowing the value of a straight man in comedy
the same podcast with just will would be significantly worse
