Tell me the most rewatchable movies you can think of. Pic related.
I could probably watch this movie at any time without complaining or feeling bored, and I have probably seen it like 10 times.
other movies I can think of:
>Before Sunrise, Before Sunset
>Lost in Translation
>Spirited Away
The Fugitive for me.
Harry Potter series 1-6 (teh defly hellos are not that charming to me)
My last 3 normalfag gfs have ruined Harry Potter for me forever. They rewatched this shit like weekly to the point where the magic is gone. Feels bad, I used to love me some potta
damn rip. I keep it to a rewatch every 2 years or so
Eh, my brother used to watch the same movie multiple times a day when he was younger, at some point your mind just zones out
The sextape I made with your mom.
The director commentary was eye opening
shooter
No Country For Old Men is one I've watched many times as well. The Fly, Robocop, To Live and Die in L.A. and Dog Day Afternoon are also ones I can stick on whenever and be happy to watch.
Absolute patrician tier taste my nigga
i mentioned rewatching this with a girl i know and she said
>why would i rewatch it? it was depressing.
This movie was a 6/10 on first watch. At some point I rewatched it just to refresh my memory and enjoyed it a lot more. And it has gotten better and better with every rewatch. Would probably give it a 9/10 nowadays. You kinda just have to be like Doc and accept the confusion like you're a stoner stumbling from one thing into the next.
Indeed. Inherent Vice is re-watchable as fuck. Some nights when I can't sleep I enjoy re-watching movies. My favorites include...
>Once Upon a Time In Hollywood
>Mulholland Dr.
>Leaving Las Vegas
>Drive
>Nightcrawler
chinese version of The Big Lebowski
I am the same way with this movie. Something about it keeps me coming back I've watched it at least 5 times. Also there will be blood does the same thing for me.
Goodfellas
very unrewatchable for me
I could watch this one a thousand times.
>Gentlemen, you can't fight in here, this is the war room!
also a very comfy rewatch
you can really only watch this twice at the most before you get tired of all the wop speak
The balls on this prick...

I have watched it at least 60 times since I first saw it in the cinema. Which I did three days in a row followed by a fourth a week later.
This movie is such a massive gap in my movie history. Maybe I should finally watch it one of these days. It just never looked particularly interesting to me.
You don't even need to like dinos to love Jurassic Park. The soundtrack, the actors, the feel? It's all incredible.
Back in '93 when it came out I was also hesitant. I was a massive horror movie fan but I didn't think giant puppet dinosaurs would do it for me (that was how the movie magazines described it pretty much) but holy shit was I wrong.
Sure, the movie has some CGI that has aged but the giant physical dino props are insane. The "t-rex eye in the flashlight" scene gives me shivers every time I see it.
How old are you? 45?
are you a homosexual or just a giganormie?
How can Jurassic Park not appeal to you?
but doesn't jurassic park appeal to normies the most?
The only people I can imagine it not appealing to, are the types that don't watch movies and willingly would spend their free time spam browsing normiebook and hitting up random thots, or homosexuals.
It’s a great movie and I’d bet you’re hooked within the first 5 minutes. Also how are you that old and have never seen Jurassic park?
Conan the Barbarian
Dredd 3D
Dirty Harry
Commando
Predator
Jurassic Park
Charade
>Conan the Barbarian
It was always Conan the Destroyer for me.

>No Country for Old Men
Same. One of my all time favourite movies. Never get bored of it.
I agree with these anons. Once Upon a Time in Hollywood is one of those movies that gets better when you rewatch it.
Gangs of New York for me, think I've watched it 40 times by this point
I barely managed to watch that once.
I get it, it's not for everyone
I've watched The Dark Knight hundreds of times, mostly in my sleep. Same thing with Spider-Man (2002) and Terminator 2. Ive seen Revenge of the Sith plenty. Shawshank Redemption is up there as well as Good Will Hunting. That Steve Jobs movie with Michael Fassbender is super rewatcheable too

It feels like a friend simulator, time capsule, and just a great movie in its own right
Helps that it's the best movie ever made.
Seen it countless times.
First time I watched it I immediately rewatched it the next day.
>Redux

It's the longest version of the best movie ever made, what's the issue?

solid list i rewatch alot of these will have to check out the ones i dont know
That & Das Boot.
This movie is amazing to me, it gives me the same feeling I get when I hang out with my brothers and we just have an absolute fun ass time and bonding. The feeling of friendship in that movie feels so genuine between Leo and Pitt. Are there any other good brother/friendship kinos?
Yeh, I love it too, I love having it on in the background or watching it. My favorite scene is when Rick and Cliff just hang out watching Rick's FBI. Tarantino succeeded in making one of the ultimate hangout movies, and he's aware of it, that's why I think he included scenes of Cliff driving around and such.
Collateral
Dawn of the dead

>the outlaw josey wales

The Bourne Identity.

i ran back no country for old men recently for the first time since seeing it in theaters. still great but the pacing is tedious, about 20 minutes too long. i want to rewatch raising arizona next.
>grandma's boy
I used to always watch this whenever it was on STARS or Showtime or whatever premium channel used to air it.
you reminded me i watched super troopers on comedy central about a thousand times
Too many shitty new movies like Midsommar or The Northman. I barely watched those once.
I used to love grandma's boy as a teen when it was on comedy central all the time. I rewatched it after like 10 years and while its an objectively shit movie that isn't very funny it was still strangely comfy and I managed to sit through the whole thing. Is that just nostalgia?
I loved The Northman but I can’t imagine watching it a dozen or more times. I’ve seen it twice and don’t feel any urge to watch it again any time soon
>The Prestige
>Master and Commander
>Casino
>The Raid
>The Shining
>The Departed // Infernal Affairs (i usually watch both then start but not finish Infernal Affairs 2)
>Truman Show
>Singing in the Rain
>Descendants
>Police Story
>First matrix movie
>Lost city of Z
>Drunken Master 2
>Stand by Me
>The Hidden Fortress
>Almost Famous
Some of these aren't movies I'd recommend, but just like a favourite book, I can come back to them repeatedly without getting bored and can flip in and out of them comfortably. There's plenty more, but these are the ones that first come to mind. The Prestige and Master and Commander are probably the ones I've seen the most often.
Are you really rewatching Hausu? I very much enjoyed my first watch with friends, but the movie is so disjointed I can't imagine watching it regularly.
>hereditary
the only right answer
The Dark Knight Rises opening scene
Vanilla Sky
Robocop
LotR trilogy
Conan the Barbarian
It's a Wonderful Life
Hot Fuzz
Blade Runner
The Wizard of Oz
Office Space
Team America: World Police
Groundhog Day. It's the whole gimmick of the movie
Fight Club, the first Matrix film, Redline, Dredd, Riddick movies
I thought the same thing the other day watching Fargo. I must have seen it a hundred times but I'll always sit down and watch the whole thing. The pacing, the dialogue, the characters; the Coen brothers just know filmmaking in and out.
Fargo is not very rewatchable for me
don't think I need to say much more than an image is worth 1000(one thousand) words.
picrel
Kung pow: enter the fist
Starship Troopers

John Carpenter’s The Thing
Bill and Ted’s Bogus Journey

Hell or high water

And yeah, no country for old men. Must be getting old because all my favorite/ repeatedly watched films are now westerns
Surprised to see no gladiator. Funny how everything is essentially male first, action, light thriller action
I think I could watch this over and over again.

These people with these long lists I don’t think understand the point of these threads.
I think people who don't post their list and simply complain understand it even less...
-American Psycho
-Clockwork Orange
-Fight Club
Duck Soup and Wizard of Oz. Things are octogenarian and still incredible every time I watch them.
That's probably my favorite movie to rewatch as well. Others would be
>The Thing
>Heat
>Donnie Brasco
>Dawn of the Dead 1978
>The Stand miniseries
>Unforgiven
>Interview with a vampiee
Just some comfy movies I like to rewatch occasionally. There are more I'm just forgetting them.
Die hard 1 & 3.
Fight Club.
Blade 1.
LotR 1,2 & 3.
This
I know it's a series, but I have watched it once per year for like 12 years now
>enter thread
>can only think of anime I rewatch
>stop myself from posting
>see you post anime anyway
neat thanks for the suggestion
I hope you will enjoy it!
for some reason I stopped watching this show after 10 episodes or so. I actually liked it so I should to back to it.
Yes
It has like three (four?) kind of distinct arcs and around ep 10 it can feel boring and make you ask yourself why you are watching. It's not filler episodes because they tell an important part of the story, but you don't realize that until later on.
>I remember a friend recommending this and Serial Experiments Lain to me when we met in college.
You have good friends
I remember a friend recommending this and Serial Experiments Lain to me when we met in college. My only anime references then were Fujiko Fujio works and whatever I could pick up in the public library (ie random volumes of the Big Three, Death Note, FMA, Flame of Recca etc). These really expanded what I thought anime could be about.
The Good The Bad And The Ugly
Goodfellas
Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas
>the most rewatchable movies you can think of
I've seen this movie without subtitles in mid 2000s. I liked it a lot.
>all these retards posting the same movies
>all these retards rewatching movies
Holy fucking yikes I need to get away from this place. The only movies I would ever rewatch are ones like momento or something non linear
>momento
I've seen No Country like 7 times. Great movie.
Good pick OP, i agree
I'd say Sicario. I remember as a teen when it was new, i watched it like three times within a week just cus of the "badass" atmosphere and how gobsmacked the ending left me.
A personal one for me is Inland empire, which I don't imagine being a popular pick, but another one with a strong unique atmosphere and feel with a 3h30min runtime to just get lost into during the day.
I don't remember the ending... he was the old cartel boss?
He was an ex Colombian cartel hitman basically destabilizing the competition with the help of the cia

>And you have to say Check 'em.
>Don't put it in your meme folder, sir.
>Don't put it in your meme folder, it's your lucky dubs.
Where do you want me to put it?
>Anywhere, not in your meme folder. Where it will get mixed in with the others and become just a shitpost.
>...Which it is.
the titular doctor strangelove is unironically the worst part of this movie
>Goodfellas
>Rocky
>Heat
>Jaws
>School Ties
>Bloodsport
I went from absolutely loving heat to not being able to stomach it anymore. I don’t even really know if I can articulate why. I watched it last week and just found it completely cheesy outside of the few known scenes. I think Pacinos acting hasn’t aged well for me, I had the same issue with Donnie brasco
Rocky, First Blood, Kung Fu Hustle, Black Dynamite, Austin Powers
fantastic mr fox
How about directors, here are some that have rewatchable filmographies:
Nolan

Can't really think of much, Zahler is quite unique in his incredible bleakness, but I'd recommend Night at the Golden Eagle
Hot fuzz - one of if not the most rewatchable films ever made
Eyes wide shut - kubricks best and most alluring film. Gets better with each watch
Rush hour 2- something about it makes it so much fun
Batman v superman ultimate cut - probably the greatest pop icon movie of all time, full of symbolism and references
Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade is probably my most rewatched movie, followed closely by the 90’s version of The Three Musketeers which I watched a lot as a kid for some reason.
Recently DUNC I’ve seen about 5 times now.
>Recently DUNC I’ve seen about 5 times now.
based
im probably at 7 at home and 2 at imax
you do have the 4k version right?
Gladiator
Ferris Bueller's Day Off is the most rewatchable movie to me. Pure comfy!
back in summer of 2013-14 I used to play 8v8 l4d2 and then watch fear and loathing in new vegas in my bed literally every night
I've watched Rumble Fish a bunch of times I like the atmosphere and music.
several of mine are already mentioned, like Jurassic Park I've probably seen 100 times or something. First movie I saw in the theater too.
So I'll just add a few I didn't see
>Star Wars Ep I-Vi
>The Interview
>The Campaign
>The Great Escape
>Gods and Generals
>Zulu
>Downfall
>2001: A Space Odyssey
No one mentioned Bloodsport or kickboxer. Bunch of fags I tells ya.
Cannibal Holocaust
A onions pick but I've seen this movie 5 times and never found myself bored
Can't say that's the case for many other 3-hour movies
>Jurassic Park
>The Mummy
> The Departed
>LOTR Trilogy
>ESB
Sicario
LOTR trilogy
American Psycho
I find myself going back to Collateral a lot. Cruise is endlessly entertaining in it, and the movie speaks to me as a tired wagie.
Forrest Gump
I'M GUNNA KILL THE MUTHAFUCKER
WHAT ONE MAN CAN DO ANOTHER CAN DO!!!
The Hitcher
i just like it, i understand if some people find it boring or uninteresting but i like everything about it
>Ctrl-F
>Ocean's Eleven
>phrase not found
Is it me?
nah the first 3 movies were fun as fuck
There's so many movies I'd like to rewatch but I always feel guilty about not watching novel kino so I watch newslop or movies I didn't see before, oftentimes wasting my time, instead of movies I really liked
numbskull
basically if you don't watch 70's pressure kino you aren't a real kinoisseur
Is the Wages of Fear really better than this or does it just get points for being the original?
different film it was probably revolutionary for it's time i like it and think it's a good film but don't enjoy it as much as sorcerer
but it's a must if you like sorcerer you have to watch "wages of fear" at least for some of the scenes later on the in the film in the jungle
they wouldn't subject actors that kind of shit these days lets put it like that
>watch Shot Caller
>act like Shot Caller
predator
american ninja 2
bloodsport
I have watched F for Fake at least 60 times. Not saying it's a rewatchable movie for any and everyone, but for me it has almost infinite rewatchability.
It gets wiped from my memory every few years and I rewatch it and love it every time
Every time I get into a breakup or start contemplating my past or where I’m going in life I get an urge to rewatch Eraserhead. I think I’m one of those “feel your way through things to find closure” type of fags because I always get some sense of self peace by the end of pic related. Same with twin peaks s1 and s3. They gimmie some weird internal journey type of feeling where I’m not really bothered by whatever the fuck bullshit was in my head prior.
