Well some people say the movie is about dreams. Since it's based on Traumnovelle (dream story), which is on YouTube with subs and I highly recommend it, so it might be how sometimes things in our dreams act one way and then the other. At first he's furious but then next time he's asking them to come again. So it's a weird thing like when a dream doesn't make sense and confuses you when you wake up.
Ok the other hand it COULD be about a two faced appearance. Maybe he was only pretending to be mad and this was an abuse that had been happening for a while. When the girl hides behind cruise she seems playful and then acts like she's inviting him, as if cruise might be another customer set up by her dad.
