Nah you’re just gay for them. Bruce and Mark had a group called The Audience with a few other performers and Dave and Kevin had trio called The Kids in The Hall with one other guy. The two groups started working together and mixing and what came out of that took the name Kids In The Hall, but guys like Norm Hiswiener, Garry Campbell, Paul Bellini and Frank Van Keeken we’re all originally members of The Audience and they were kept on as writers for the show whereas guys like Luciano Casimiri who were part of Dave and Kevin’s original group were out in their ass. Not to mention Bruce and Mark were recruited to SNL by Lorne Michaels and were writers/performers on SNL while Kevin and Dave were still in Canada eating Kraft dinner waiting for Bruce and Mark to get them a job.
IMHO, like or hate him, Scott was the special sauce that brought it all together (and pretty sure he brought in Bellini), reigning in some of the more absurdist and conceptual stuff, and wasn’t afraid of an actual old fashioned punchline. He seems to ground a lot of the bits
Scott always amused me because he was the only one that was gay but he was the most masculine looking one of them all. He was versatile in that way too, you could use him for gay jokes because he was gay but he worked fine playing a straight character in the majority of the sketches they did with him.
Bruce best at weird sketches
Dave best all around everyman and at playing women
Kevin best at best the annoying spazzy weirdo or bewildered straight man
Mark was the most versatile character guy and good with different voices
Scott was the best at being gay
He was supposed to play Ricky the obese shut in for Death Comes To Town but the prosthetic fat suit made him claustrophobic and he chickened out. He wrote the character too.
During its initial run I was underwhelmed by Death Comes to Town, but I marathoned it recently some 10+ years later and found it extremely comfy. I suggest those who dismissed it like I did give it a second chance in older age.
I liked it when it first came out but I rewatched it last year for the first time in a decade and thought it was a lot better than I remembered. I watched it twice in one weekend, absolutely hilarious. I think part of it is that they seemed so old when I first saw it but now they seem so young compared to their 2022 Amazon prime season
You can't even say the word "homosexual" anymore, either. I mean it was a lovely bundle of sticks. On cold winter's nights you'd throw another homosexual on the fire
Yeah Mom it’s really frickin good.
No see the salt is a problem. The next day when he goes to dominate the D squah ladder he can't be cramping up because of some salty ham
EEEE
RADICATORRRRR
Ottawa Senators fricking suck...
Apparently there's this 7 foot defenseman. Chara is his name?
Well your dad's in the garage now, Bob
Don’t put salt in your eyes!
>it's a "Bruce watches pretentious movies and wishes he was a director" sketch
These are the best ones!
Film buff? Or just a butt freak?
But what about the crab shampoo??
Bruce was always the best Kid. I think he was their leader
Dave and Kevin were the leaders.
Bruce was probably the most intelligent, but the whole thing formed around Dave and Kevin being best buddies.

Pass the food I used too much salt.
Oh, okay.

You know a lot of stuff.

Scott plays best "dumb guy" of all time
>20 bucks. Is 20 bucks.
>awkward shrug
what, is it a stannis?
>"That's too much salt, Bob."
>"Sorry if I like flavor!"
rip
sticky now
kevin looks like hes dying
Not really. He should be pleased that he's yhe only one who didn't get fat.
weirdly he used to be the chubby one in their original days then lost weight before the tv show came out
damn he used to be quite the porker, then got super crazy skinny ever since then
He was supposed to play Ricky the obese shut in for Death Comes To Town but the prosthetic fat suit made him claustrophobic and he chickened out. He wrote the character too.
nah hes just old and balding in an odd way now

Touché about the age nuance, brother. I want to live in Shuckton in Ricky’s house now LOL.
Think we'll see another season of the revival show?
