I think they got the look down well enough. a big thing about older stuff being so jank was mostly processing power from my understanding. they could've had much smoother better looking stuff but the access to the processing power to get that many things with that many frames was just out of reach of most studios. so they cut details and frames till they could afford it which left us with like 10 frames per second of some blocky looking chunks

I thought it was pretty streamlined and to the point.
From arriving/intro branching to 2 plot, pomni's story and zooble, each one telling the rules of the show,
1) rules of abstraction
2)the 'game' itself
3) that there is no real exit.
I cant really think of any fat that needed trimming that isnt subjective jokes. The gags itself was nicely animated and short, and im glad it wasn't rapid fire cursing or fricking ad-libbing stammering or YELLING AND BEING A DICK or tell joke dead air/funny sound effect and comedic timing response.

Well, then we're right back to the beginning where we defined it as a delusion, no different from those who "feel" like they should be blind or missing their limbs.

Either way, the show would probably focus more on Pomnis development while she learns more about the preestablished character dynamics and backgrounds of the others.

If anything, any character development for Caine would be appreciated, rather than him being purely a plot device. If his character isn’t even gonna change, why write him as a character? instead of making some worldbuilding in order to explain why crazy shit’s occuring.
He needs some serious character development. A goofy sympathetic anti-AM type character who actually just wants to help would be great. I can see him getting really sad that he can't help the people stuck in his world.

In the same realm of surreal web animation that pays tribute to the aesthetics of early 90s computing. Though ENA more so tributes general aesthetic designs of the time while ADC pays tribute to kids multimedia activity centers and Humongous Entertainment point and clicks.
ENA feels like old school screensavers and interactive encyclopedia programs designed for kids (I had one about dinosaurs that felt a lot like that) while ADC feels like the more bombastic kids games in the later part of the 90s - like you said, I can feel it for sure.
I think ENA's thing is how it makes itself feel like it actually could be one of those things. I kinda hope ADC leans more into the concept, though.
The later ENA videos do feel like you're just watching a video of some kind of interactive CD experience being played for you, where if you actually had it you could see so much more if you go down different hallways or doors. This is most likely the reason why Dream BBQ will exist the way it will; there's the video version of it that'll come out on Youtube and the game version you can buy that just lets you go anywhere. ADC just uses the aesthetic of those types of mentioned games but doesn't actually feel like one, more like if the characters from said game weren't just lines of code but were actual human minds that just want to leave wherever this is.
