The only reason the characters are robots and the few humans are shadowed silhouettes is because glitch is too cheap or inept to translate the creator's style into 3D models that don't look like absolute dogshit. Because of that, they can also get away with animating robotic movements and a few stock emoji expressions that don't look unnatural and focus on the action scenes instead, which are not that great anyway. Everything in the show is absurdly dark all the time and they use a lot of other shortcuts and tricks like excessive camera shakes to disguise the lacklustre quality.

Oh for sure. It's a decent premise and the animations good, but there's still plenty of opportunity to completely frick it up. I'm kind of worried the success will go to their heads and they end up biting off more than they can chew.
Do you have any idea how hard is it to make pictures move on the screen for 20 minutes? It takes forever, especially when you can't outsource everything to Korea.

It's not that simple, anon. If TADC was part of a bigger company like Disney or Warner Bros, they'd probably already be working on a season with entire teams behind it. Because GLITCH is an indie animation company, even taking on one show is a massive risk, if that show doesn't bring in viewers, you could be possibly bleeding out money for something nobody wants with episodes of a show no one will see. Obviously now we know TADC is very successful, but when you're developing everything from the ground up, things like producing full episodes takes a lot of time and resources (consider an episode of Murder Drones normally takes around 300,000 dollars to make) that they just don't have.
How do they fund this then? It can't be all merchandise right? Why don't they try crowdfunding? Kickstarter's still a thing right?

And even though I like TADC far more than MD, I think in all fairness that MD should get their season completed since it was that show that made everyone notice Glitch while TADC just popularized Glitch.
