He should have just voiced the role and had a younger man do the suitwork

that didn't bother me to be fair he is supposed to be old

The worst parts were the pacing (bactashit + Tusken) and the cyberpunk zoomer biker gang. Kenobi was worse overall.

yeah they should've skipped the flashbacks and told the story chronologically

        >that didn't bother me to be fair he is supposed to be old
I agree, but since they insisted on packing the show full of close-quarter combat scenes, it looks really bad when the other actors have to pretend the old man is a threat when he's clearly not very fast.

I've watched this on a weekly basis with my bro and the bactashit became a running gag.

yeah on the whole it was serviceable but the quadrophenia mod speeder gang was fricking garbage, but the girl was cute

The repulsor vespas would have worked in the Coruscant prequel era aesthetic rather than Tatooine. Should have had a Swoop gang instead for sidekicks like the group that was wiped out in the desert.

    >Now, in The Book Of Boba Fett, a new era of galactic crime is about to begin.
    >Picking up where that teaser left off, the series – from The Mandalorian creators Jon Favreau and Dave Filoni, and director Robert Rodriguez – will depict the bounty hunter’s foray into crime-boss territory.
    >“There is a power vacuum,” explains Favreau. "...you have the opportunity that’s ripe in the gangster genre.”

No one else thinks it's weird that basically two of the episodes were mandalorian episodes? I had to check to guide to see what I was watching.

yes it was very weird, wonder why they did it?

Because gayreau and gayloni are fricking idiots. It's not that complicated.
      >Disney must have made them!
Zero evidence of this. What's much more plausible is that the guy who made Lion King 2019 and the guy who wrote the Martez Sisters failed to understand basic storytelling, like how you shouldn't assume your audience watches multiple shows, or how you shouldn't underwhelmingly undo the entire point of your first two seasons.

    >Show about a crime lord
    >Doesn't commit a single crime
What did gayreau mean by this?
    >“You think about Don Corleone,” Favreau says. “There’s a tremendous amount of restraint because he knows that to be sustainable, there has to be [peace]. You don’t do well unless there’s some political balance, because if you keep going to the mattresses, nobody’s earning.”
    >The elder Corleone in The Godfather also rejects the drug trade and resists calls to “do murder.” Stability and safety are more important to the boss at that point in his life. “You think about what things are off limits. Don Corleone wasn’t just doing everything to line his pockets as he got later into his career,” Favreau says. “You look at De Niro, in the flashbacks in The Godfather: Part II, as he’s walking down the streets. He’s seen as somebody who’s actually creating, someone the people respect because of the way he conducts himself. There’s lots of different ways to run an empire. There’s the Sonny Corleone way, there’s the Michael Corleone way, and then there’s the Vito Corleone way.”

I remember Don Corleone putting the severed head of a horse in its owner's bed. I don't remember him forgiving and paying every person who guys fricks with or tries to assassinate him.

It wasn't completely serviceable, it had Kathleen Kennedy and the marketing department's fingers all over it.

Cope. The shitty ideas came from Favreau.
      >While she was filming, Book of Boba Fett creator Jon Favreau specifically referenced one of the aforementioned comparisons.
      >“Jon Favreau would always bring up Joan Jett — a sci-fi Joan Jett — and I was like, ‘Yeah, that’s cool.’ I’ll take it,” Thatcher shares.

It sucked because much like Marvel's Punisher, they're terrified of a main character that isn't a relatable good guy.

He was acting like Boba in the Mandalorian, he should've solved his problems with a blaster, not political bargaining.

Only bit I liked was seeing Cad Bane in live action, and even he died like a b***h because he's a bad guy, and therefore can't have any character beyond being the villain to be defeated.
