The writing/acting for scenes involving Homelander is on such a higher caliber than everything else in the show it's honestly uncanny. Every scene with him involved is a treat and yet every scene that focuses on the Boys themselves is just getting more and more cringe. M.M. & Starlight both looking to be at death's door doesn't help.

Too many (unnecesary) subplots at the same time, and they do not connect in any meaningful way. Also this show is a strong piece of political propaganda (not just commentary). Homelander scenes asre somewhat redeemable. Kimiko has not had any character development so far. When Butcher dies (if he ever), the Boys scenes will turn into complete crap.

Nah on seasons 1 and 2 it was a very slight bias towards the left, while promoting critical thinking. Seasons 3 and 4 are ideology/position spoonfeeding, definetely not "slightly more over the top".

Season 1 was by a mile the peak, its happened before, Westworld s1 was a masterpiece too, then it went to shit, relegated all the interesting male characters to third string acts and killed off a man who was barely rated as a villain at all.

I loved it in the first 2 season, season 3 was good too cutting off all propaganda stuff. Season 4 is shit. I'm already invested too so I'll continue watching it until the end, but that doesn't mean I'll pay for Prime video. The writers were worried their audience were too stupid (or just staring at their phones too much) to get the wife was a hallucination so they felt they had to hammer it home even though it was obvious in the beginning.
