It hasn't been meaningfully referenced in any of the episodes so far. In the trailer for the season there's a single line of exposition which relates to it (the university developed an experimental virus which kills supes) but it's probably not going to have required people to have seen the entire spinoff.
Gen V isn't terrible, particularly if you really like the Boys universe and want to see more of it. The main characters' powers being based around problems kids have (self-harm, eating disorders, gender stuff, mental health etc.) is an interesting concept but it runs out of steam about halfway through.

Did anyone think some of the kills this season was really like, unneeded? I feel like Homelander killed usually people who disagreed with him, or annoying fricks, or just to show the impact he has. He should have died killing Bluehawk. It would've been a good character arc for him. He apologized to Huey and admitted he was at fault for killing Robin. It looks like he's about to become a better person but then he can't get over this desire for revenge which ends up killing him. Huey would see what happened to A Train and maybe reconsider being in The Boys.

It hasn't been meaningfully referenced in any of the episodes so far. In the trailer for the season there's a single line of exposition which relates to it (the university developed an experimental virus which kills supes) but it's probably not going to have required people to have seen the entire spinoff.
Gen V isn't terrible, particularly if you really like the Boys universe and want to see more of it. The main characters' powers being based around problems kids have (self-harm, eating disorders, gender stuff, mental health etc.) is an interesting concept but it runs out of steam about halfway through.
