Im hoping for a A24 slowburn kino in the coming years. It might seem a bit strange but I think she would pull it off. A small MCU role would work, but it's too obvious of choice to be worthwhile.

Naomi Scott was in roles that got her attention before Aladdin and that movie wasn't nearly as shit as The Little Blackfish. Even that fricking Power Rangers reboot did more to boost her career than Aladdin did.
Halle Bailey will be forgotten within a year. Literally the only reason she even got this role is because of Beyonce putting it as her precondition for appearing in The Lion King remake and she has nothing that makes her standout. She is an eyesore, she can't act, her singing was godawful despite Disney shills desperately trying to convince people otherwise and she has nothing else to her name except this latest Disney bomb.
If you still think she has a chance then consider WHY this movie and her are getting so heavily shilled on here and elsewhere if Disney is so confident in her longevity? Because she has none and Disney knows it.

This movie would've made fricking billions if it was a loose interpretation of the Little Mermaid. Ariel is a real teenager. Her adoptive pimp father (Silky Triton) adopts her. She is turned out and hooked on drugs by Triton's associates Sebastian and Flounder. Ursula is a child services worker who pockets all of Ariel's money, telling her she is going to prison for prostitution if she snitches. Eric "Prince Eric" Thompson is a high school star basketball player who buys Ariel for the night to celebrate signing an NBA contract. He starts to fall for her because fake b***hes only want him for his money but Ariel actually likes him. Ursula the social worker finds out and gets Ariel locked up. She is in prison while Prince Eric tries to balance his basketball future with putting together the pieces of Ariel's case to free her and get Ursula the social worker, Silky Triton, Sebastian, and Flounder put away. They could even still call it The Little Mermaid even though it has nothing to do with the ocean because meta.
