>The Evil Dead
An original tale.
>Evil Dead II
A retelling of the first tale, but with new details added and a new ending. Why? Because.
>Army of Darkness: Evil Dead 3
We're in a different time now. Somehow it's all part of the same story, but how does it come together since time is already screwed up and probably multiple worlds have been created. So... the original tale was in one of the worlds?
>Evil Dead
A return to the first tale. New characters, new destinies. Repetition of fate with the recovery of the demon from the book in the cabin. Ash's story probably doesn't exist here, but he himself is present, or could be.
>Ash vs. Evil Dead
An attempt to combine Ash's stories into one. Probably just fanservice and not worthy of attention. Or takes place in one of the possible worlds.
>Evil Dead Rise
Again. It's not clear which timeline we're in. Did Evil Dead take place in this universe? Or Ash's story?
So... what the fuck is this all about? What the fuck is going on?
>Probably just fanservice and not worthy of attention.
Trash opinion, you can discard your life now.
You misunderstood me. I'm not saying they're bad movies. I just don't understand the storylines. AvsED just doesn't make sense in any of them. It's like a cartoon. Or a fanservice. Pointless.
Imagine caring about 'canon' and 'timelines'
Fuckpigface
>evil dead II
>why?
because you have shit taste son
you're reading too much into a franchise that is slapstickey and silly (at least the Ash centered stuff).
It's obvious that the plot of Evil Dead (2013) and Evil Dead II w. Army of Darkness is related. So we have a chain:
Evil Dead II > Army of Darkness > Evil Dead
The Evil Dead probably took place in one of the worlds in which Ash dies or becomes a demon.
Or perhaps the plot of Evil Dead (2013) takes place exactly in the world of Evil Dead, but Evil Dead II in another. And Ash, having started running through time, may now be in it as Ash from Evil Dead II (and not as Ash from The Evil Dead, who died).
What about Evil Dead Rise?
>Necronomicon in Friday the 13th
Another universe???
>What the fuck is going on?
Turn your brain off and enjoy the ride, you absolute embarrassment.
I've already done that.
But a couple days ago, I set myself up to rewatch all the Evil Dead movies (including new movies and tv show). And now I have questions. I'm not autistic, I realize it wasn't intended by the creators from the beginning. But it's what's even more fascinating is how the art piece takes on a life of its own. A lot was not originally intended, but it's in its places. Like the story of Linda, Ash's first girlfriend, who he went to the cabin with. Every Ash has a different Linda. But with each one he is forced to relive the same events. The most heartbreaking is in Ash vs. Evil Dead. Actually, in Ash vs. Evil Dead makes a lot of things clear about other worlds. Ash falls into a couple. But I'm curious about the connection between Evil Dead (2013) and old movies. And in which world Evil Dead Rise takes place. There don't seem to be any clues in Rise.
Your brain has been broken by multiverse stories. Fringe started it.
It's just fucking media retard it doesn't matter
What the fuck? What does this have to do with Marvel? ED takes place in different worlds and universes. In Ash vs. Evil Dead they're already throwing that at the viewer. When they made Evil Dead (2013), they said it was a universe connected to the Army of Darkness universe.
Consider suicide paki homosexual
its just a silly horror franchise, theres not much more to it than that
Oh, fuck. That's not what I'm saying. I'm talking about time lines. Ash traveled through time. IT'S A FACT. And this isn't first Ash who's been to different worlds and times - his image WAS already in Necronomicon. What I'm asking: is what time lines the movies take place in. Evil Dead II is not some remake of The Evil Dead. The plot of The Evil Dead happened! But in a different world/time.
you really need to ignore all of that because it doesn't matter
I has its place but II is clearly superior
ED 2013 is much much better than I thought it would be, but it's more pure horror that the originals, the ending is metal as fuck.
>ED 2013 is much much better than I thought it would be
I didn't really like it, but the ending redeems everything. Too bad they didn't make a sequelEvil Dead 4 like they planned.
But it does. Evil Dead (2003) has a connection to Army of Darkness. But it's probably not the same universe, because there are probably different worlds here. But Ash, by his appearance, connects them. And the world in Evil Dead (2003) is the world of The Evil Dead (the first movie), where Ash died and turned into a demon in the cabin.
>2003
2013, of course
>but the ending redeems everything.
The ending fucking sucks.
>The Evil Dead is just a crawling retard that gets a fatality from pudgy whatserface
shit movie
it's implied that Ash gets sent back to the 20s, you can hear his voice in the audio recording
Well, yeah. And? What world is this Ash from? Evil Dead II (Army of Darkness)?
The Evil Dead actually takes place in which world?
And what about Evil Dead Rise?
Rise is probably Armys theatrical ending, Ash gets sent back there because he has unfinished business. AvTED is good but I dont consider it canon. so it goes 2->AoD->Rise. idk where 2013 fits, may as well be its own universe. at the end of the day tho who cares, it's all in good fun.
Come on, man
In Evil Dead (2013), they find the car that Ash from The Evil Dead left behind. Considering it's abandoned, it's either The Evil Dead or Evil Dead II. In Ash vs. Evil Dead there was a different car near the cabin, but I'm not sure if we should take Ash vs. Evil Dead as canon.
What is your goal here, man? You acknowledge it was never intended to all fit together, but you want to make it all fit, but you're okay ignoring what doesn't fit, but also you aren't satisfied with some people's casual fan theories...
You want other people to workshop your own headcanon for you until you like it?
Maybe I'm missing something.
>Maybe I'm missing something.
your autism diagnosis
That's not an answer
>Evil Dead Rise
>Again. It's not clear which timeline we're in. Did Evil Dead take place in this universe? Or Ash's story?
I dont know, I just know this last one fucking sucked
>Hey guys, wanna see him lose his shit? Watch this
Hey OP, don't forget to factor these in:
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Category:The_Evil_Dead_(franchise)_video_games
>Evil Dead
>Evil is well alive and killing people in all those movies
what did they mean by this?
