>Listen, we're gonna devote a LOT of manpower & money to find this white doctor convicted on shaky evidence while ignoring the hoards of brown illegals & rapists running around.
>hoards of brown illegals & rapists running around.
was it like that in the 90s? The reason they wanted to catch him so much was because he escaped custody, they go ape shit if that happens irl.
The backstory of the Fugitive is really interesting actually. The script was barely written when filming started, and in the end Tommy Lee Jones and the other US Marshalls had to create there characters on the fly and workshop/improv scenes all the time.
Yeah, the third act kinda fumbled pretty badly. Like I actually don't mind the pharma plot but it's like the movie just gave up.
I read an earlier draft of the script. All the big pharma stuff was a red herring, and his wife was the actual target because her family owned a gold mine or something.
Don't think he was at that stage. Wasn't until the hospital scene at the earliest, and definitely when he went to the house with the photos that he understood, and that's much later.
Another fun fact, TLJ didn't want to shoot that scene that way, claiming the Gerrard wouldn't gun Kimble down like that, and especially wouldn't fire his gun in a crowded public place where a deflection could hurt someone.
They had this movie at the airplane I took earlier this year. Usually they just have the latest shit, but they for some reason had a bunch of older Hollywood movies as well. I actually watched some nice and entertaining movies while flying for a change.
Not necessarily a good show, but it had an interesting ending in that it actually had an ending. The show's popularity had waned and the network was just going to cancel it without a conclusion, but somebody intervened and the fans got a final episode where Dr. Kimble finally caught up with the one-armed man. Kind of a rarity for the time.
I enjoy Tombstone but its closer to capeshit in western clothes than it is to western movies.
Also it makes Wyatt look like a cuck who fell in love with the town bicycle.
i dont even understand what revisionist western even means at this point.... i think regarding mobsters and gang leaders like wyatt earp like mythic comic book heroes is the revisionism. these were gang wars not heroic lawmen saving cities. its like this entire film was made in order to spite clint eastwood
I also love it when in the first scene they show cartoon-tier villains killing innocents and in the second one they introduce marvel avengers type hero who teaches someone a lesson about animal abuse
making Tommy Lee Jones the protag was a mistake. We should've had the movie from Snipes' pov without the ambiguity around him being innocent, which was obvious but meant we didn't feel attached to him like Ford's character.
Next time you watch it, listen to how and how many times Wesley's White GF says his name: "Mahk!" "Mahk!" Terrible. And Snipe's isn't likable, he's just always in angry mode; no modulation of character.
Actual thriller kino, straightforward popcorn movie that does what it says on the tin. I am not beneath something more artsy but sometimes you just want to see Tommy Lee chase Harrison in a drain

They did a really good job. I occasionally still think "Someone who makes more money that you" and "Well next train wreck"
I read an earlier draft of the script. All the big pharma stuff was a red herring, and his wife was the actual target because her family owned a gold mine or something.
>(YOU) SWITCHED THE SAMPLES
>It wasn't me, it was the one armed Jan(ny!)
>what? the bulletproof glass prevented me from killing a man who spared my life and I almost sure is innocent

so he wasn't indeed, a 'loose cannon'
He couldn't sanction that buffoonery.

I think The Fugitive is mostly awesome but gets bogged down by the Big Pharma conspiracy.
Yeah, the ending is pretty shit. Should have been about an airplane manufacturer whistle blower or something instead.
Yeah, the third act kinda fumbled pretty badly. Like I actually don't mind the pharma plot but it's like the movie just gave up.
I DON'T CARE
The Fugitive is a classic "default movie" that you can always return to
Post some more TLJ kinos
Loved this movie as a kid have it on tape still
Coal Minor's Daughter.
Lonesome Dove
Has anyone here watched the show? How's it hold up?
Haven't watched it, people seem to rave about it though.
It's watchable.
One episode is virtually the hospital bit in the film

That part where he tells the screaming woman to shut up always cracks me up
Still a crime that TJL got an Oscar for this nothing role but Val didn't even get nominated.
he insisted upon himself
Tombstone sucks.
You suck.

Never change.

not enough of this guy. also snipes was terrible.
Unusually so. He usually brings a lot of energy, I don't know what happened.
