Brando's acting was unparalleled
Jack's entire career lives in the shadow of Brando in On the Waterfront.
And Jack consistently gave great performances throughout his career, even up to the end with films like As Good As It Gets, The Pledge, About Schmidt, and The Departed. Brando gave a few great performances early on and then basically stopped caring.
