Beautifully animated. Every episode was a treat to look at. The cast was great and the stories were fun/funny. It was basically complete though. I'm sure you could get more out of that world but it felt complete after season 2. It's not a bad place to stop.

I haven't seen the second season and was wondering if there were any cliffhangers or hooks, it passed by Cinemaphile's attention pretty damn quickly

Not that anon but I don’t remember any cliffhangers. It all ties everything together and everyone is happy at the end.

No, it wrapped up all the plot threads and didn't leave any obvious sequel hooks. There was no reason to expect another season.

How the hell would you follow up a Butter Battle Book inspired season?

How heartbroken do you think Jared was when news about Subway Jared dropped?
Imagine not only being named Jared but looking just like him, what was probably a harmless joke between friends now becomes something dark, even in jest to be likened to such a man must be repulsive.

I saw it as finished, not a spectacular one but it tied up what they showed. Sure we don't see more family shenanigans from both sides but I'm fine with it lets move on.

Not shocked at all. It was insanely fricking expensive to make, and I doubt it was popular enough to justify the cost, sadly. It wrapped up the story anyways, so it's not a big deal.

I didn't even know there was another season of this in development, I thought it was just a miniseries.

Also this shit was basically entirely bankrolled by Ellen Degeneres and she had her talk show end and has a lot of people shitting on her nowadays compared to when this thing was first greenlit, she probably doesn't have the same amount of millions of dollars to throw around that she did five years ago.

I'm surprised that a children's book about picky eating required a 2 season show.

2 books. One about picky eating, and one that's a Cold War allegory.

No one cares though. There are too many options now and its growing. Each production is losing relevance and impact.

How the hell is this cancelled? Season 1 ended with the Season 2 setup

I'm fine with that. It beat everyone's expectations for it, told the story it wanted to, and wrapped things up nicely. Most shows wish it could do the same, it deserves to rest now.

That’s not a show being cancelled, that’s a show that’s had a proper ending and has no more stories to tell

      This
There’s not much else plot wise that could be done. It’s a complete show with all plot points tied up

    >canceled
Oh my fricking Christ, learn to let go for once. It sounds like you're probably reading too far into this Tweet. Nothing about Stern's wording implies Green Eggs and Ham was cancelled. And even if it was, (1) this isn't much of a surprise considering how expensive the series was as well as how generally overlooked Season 2 was, and (2) I'd argue there isn't anywhere else to take this story or these characters, so it's just as likely they only ever had two seasons planned to begin with.

We should be celebrating how fricking GOOD a Green Eggs and Ham TV series somehow managed to be. It's a miracle we even got a second season. Normalize appreciating a solid show ending on a good note. All good things must come to an end.

This, the modern desire to constantly drag out any piece of media out until it's a shambling husk of its former self needs to die.

This is why we need more one-and-done miniseries, especially in animation. Gives you enough time to spend with a world and cast of characters, but it also has a concrete sense of finality to it with no chance of lingering cliffhangers.

Yeah it alright. Guy's story is good, Sam's is sweet but not without a little character assassination. E.B.'s is cliché, but still somewhat creative.
