A lot of funny lines in this one.
Jon Lithgow as he threatens a woman with a shotgun: >"Back off! Or else she's gonna need a paper bag over her head when her boyfriend fricks what's left of her!"
Lithow to parole board member on his post prison plans: >"I'll frick your wife, and your daughter, hell maybe even your dog."
Lithgow's sleazy henchman after he knocks out Denzel: >"I bet he shit his pants, I can't wait to look!"
>brainlets don't know the difference between one sentence and one word.
Once upon a time in America
The kids acted better than the adults most of the time.
I watched Young Guns and Young Guns II tonight. They are both films I have enjoyed many times over the years, but this most recent watch through is the first time I have seen them since I read a Billy the Kid and Pat Garret biography and the historical inaccuracies are jarring to me.
The Gentlemen, 2019.
Not Richie's best, but a decent enough throwback to his original style of film that's at least an improvement over his pretty obnoxiously bad blockbuster films of late.
Man of God
Pretty meh tbqh, lead actor was wooden as frick, part of it is my fault as I missed why he was initially exiled, but mainly I was annoyed at how badly I felt he was portraying his suffering, and also the how badly the director was at explaining his motivations.
Black Robe
Crazy fricking Jesuit stumblefricking around 16th century Canada in winter pissing off the natives, beautiful scenery but jfc that fricker had a deathwish.
Thanks for the recommendation. I'll watch that today. I watched pic related a few weeks ago. It too was kino. I'm pretty much mostly watching old films now.
There is a film made of it but I read the book. You'll have to guess it. >Medieval Sherlock Holmes solves a crime in an abbey by chance and all the events that happened were not part of any grand plan.
Flight(2012)
I got distracted by the naked girl in the first scene of the movie and ended up edging to pics of her on my phone throughout the entire movie, i'll have to watch it again to form a strong opinion about it

Ricochet, 1991, quite hammy and ridiculous but pretty fun cheesy thriller with Denzel and Lithgow chewing scenery.

The King's Man
Better than second but a lot less fun and action scenes are worse.

Forbidden Room, The aka Lost Soul [Anima persa] (1977, Dino Risi)
Started decently strong but interest petered a bit out towards the end
She plays Miles Morales' love interest Gwen Stacy btw.
Devil in a Blue Dress? Right up there with LA Confidential, in my book.

How a middle of the road sci fi frome decades a go can feel like a masterpiece if compared to current shit
Man of God
Pretty meh tbqh, lead actor was wooden as frick, part of it is my fault as I missed why he was initially exiled, but mainly I was annoyed at how badly I felt he was portraying his suffering, and also the how badly the director was at explaining his motivations.
