According to the creator of Owl House it’s apparently purely analytics and not anything involving judges or voting.

It might be individual unique viewers as opposed to amount of times viewed. So two kids watching the same episode like a dozen times each doesn't count as much as five people watching a episode once each.

The former would rank really high on a Most Watched List since it's technically twenty-four viewings but that's not necessarily the same as Most-In-Demand.

Based off of this I can assume that this is based on tv numbers because the last time I saw Sesame Street in social media was when the autistic girl was added
Considering how much owl troons like fudging the numbers I wouldn't be surprised if they turn on the tv while its on and not actually watching it because they are too busy shipping straight dudes together

They went on imdb and always gave it a 10/10, tried to get everyone to mass watch the series finale that was posted on youtube to increase view count, and always hashtag random screenshots of the series on non-related cartoon posts

Cinemaphile is very very stuck in a circlejerk of what men in their 20s and 30s like. If something kids actually like gets talked about, it's because (a) there's crossover appeal, ie Bluey, (b) they can coom to it, ie Ladybug, or (c) they're weebs and fujos enamored with the Japanese fandom, like Paw Patrol.

Remember when the internet tricked sony into believing that morbius was a success and the most in-demand film of 2022 because there was so many people memeing about the movie making morbillion dollars? Sony later rereleasing the movie in theaters only for the movie to bombed for the second time. That shit was hilarious.

Yeah, Disney was smart enough to tell the difference and not fall for the same garbage shill like Sony did. Most of the time being in most demand on the internet basically insinuating that they're total garbage.
