No, that's some blanket statement that snot between your ears concocted out of sheer need for attention. But even if it were true, that's a valid reason to enjoy a piece of art.
That is the feeling every David Lynch movie I have ever watched gave me, and it seems to me he is doing it on purpose and many people react to his movies the same way I do. My question was entirely reasonable and your reply was quite disgusting
I didn't say you didn't know what was going, I said there is a sense that something is wrong, or 'off', sometimes subtly, sometimes very strongly, but it isn't usually clear what exactly is wrong, and this feeling saturates practically every moment of every Lynch movie, even the parts that are supposed to be cathartic or resolutions. There is an extremely distinct vibe to his movies, which to me is uncomfortable, so I was asking if his fans enjoy that 'off' feeling, the same way horror fans enjoy being scared.
my dreams often feel incredibly lonely and horrifying and with lynch it feels like i can view them as many times as i want and analyze them with other people
my favorite scenes in the movie are phillip jefferies walking into the office intercut with the meeting above the convenience store and the scene where mike pulls up next to their car and yells at them
oh and the dinner scene too
and the scene where bobby shoots the guy from deer meadow in the woods and laura starts laughing
actually the whole movie is incredible
Lynch's love for Laura really comes through in this movie, its cool to me that he treats the death of a girl in a small town so seriously compared with the way other parts of Hollywood are happy to expoit the death of a teen girl for shock value
Thats a part of this sequence from fwwm and not from the show right? Yeah its one of the most incredible things ever put to film
