There can't be any consequences or changes to the status quo anymore. Even if Marvel decides to go for a big ratings trap changeup and have a major character die, it won't matter because there's also infinite universes where that character didn't die and we all know that one of those universes will inevitably show up. I couldn't believe people took the Thanos snap seriously, considering every super who "died" from it has since returned in one way or another

The concept in itself isn't bad but it is the favorite trope for bad writers especially in your consoomer era that can't just accept that things like crossovers are just a one time thing.

Example, Project A-Ko implies that it's a universe where A-Ko's parents are Superman and Wonderwoman although they never outright said it.
Having a shared universe is one thing, having a bazillion multiverses where your favorite characters are killed off non-stop for a cheap shock content and expecting someone to react to it is quite another. And as already mentioned, repetitive content quickly gets boring.
