I gave the "new" Heart a fair chance, but gave up after a month or so.
I hope Tatulli at least gets a cut of the $$$ from the cartoon.
I don't think there's much I can do to convince you but new Heart is infinitely better than the last decade of Tatulli's run.
I grew up in Philly and recognized some locations.
I even knew someone who lived in Heart's building.
I just looked at my collection of old strips and they're still funny. I'd forgotten many of them.
On the other hand, I stopped reading Lio a few weeks back.
Couldn't take any more days when that gin-swilling cat ruled the roost.
If I wanted that, I'd read Garfield or Heathcliff.

Most comic strips are unfunny. I never would've been able to tell that Tatulli's strip took place in Philadelphia either.
It was easy to tell it was Philly though and it actually felt like it took place in a city now it feels like it takes place in a small town and is pretty generic/shit
I must've been distracted by Tatulli's constant moronic fantasy storylines that go nowhere to notice.
I mean you could see the Philliness in the characters attitudes and how they act along with some notable shots of the skyline and other noticeable areas.
Honestly maybe it’s just you, cause you seem to be acting overly sensitive about people hating on the new version almost as if you have a personal interest in trashing the old good comic to prop up the shitty new one
I'm not defending the new version at all. It's weak. But don't act like the old one was a masterpiece. There's a reason Mark ditched it.
I never said the old one was a masterpiece but it was and still is leagues better than the wet fart that is modern Heart
It was leagues better when Mark gave a frick, which he hadn't in years. I'm simply giving the new strip a chance, which most people didn't since it began.
Even at its worst it was still better than what they are doing now with the comic. At this point they might as well have made a completely new comic cause the designs, characters, feel and attempts at jokes are nothing like the old comic
