>The Northman good even tho it features white people breeding
I say this and look like this
You have this image saved...kys!
First person who spell checks is a major league homosexual. 5 year of bad luck to you b***h boy
uhh
I look like that
Nicole Kidman is BOGGED. She looked fantastic in Big Little Lies, before the bogging and looks awful now.
This. She looks like the fricking Grinch.
Wasn't she already bogged in Big Little Lies? I mean, it wasn't shot that long ago. 2017 or something.
I liked Everything Everywhere All at once more 2bh
still great movies
I watched a shitty Sky original series (The undoing) and she was absolutely ridiculous in that (there was a full frontal nude of De Angelis tho, very nice)
her default expression now is a blank face with wide open eyes
everything everywhere was chink rick and morty, pretty fricking awful
top gun 2 was the best of the year
Imma be honest, Northman was 20 minutes too long. Batman > Northman
batman is overrated
>Anya
it feels like Anya is in fricking everything but I never find out until later in some random circumstance like this
Nice comic book movie, fricking homosexual
here come the low IQ chuds falling for their military industrial complex propaganda recruiting film LMAO. top gun maverick is going to be a top seller (at walmart)
Did they really make another Batman and just call it "The Batman". That's hilarious and 80% of conversations will go as follows: " Which Batman movie is that?"
IT WAS JUST GLADIATOR WITH VIKINGS SAME BASIC PLOT SAME ENDING
I found it a far more tragic tale than Gladiator
I wouldn't mind it if it actually was like Gladiator but holy shit this movie was boring. Every scene in The Northman advanced the plot and was relevant to the story but it was so badly paced. Contrast that with Gladiator which had scenes that didn't advance the plot, but never felt as slow as The Northman. Sometimes, the way scenes are filmed is just as important as the content of the scene itself.
I don't see it
Except for the "I am ____" scenes which features a trope that predates both movies
How do you not see it?
>guy with respected standing in society is reduced to a lower status because his mentor was assasinated
>infiltrates the killer's abode and try to get close to him
>obligatory "I AM THE <THING> ALL ALONG" reveal scene
>ends with a one-on-one fight in a location of the killer's choice
>ends with the protagonist dying and having visions of mystical stuff
Yeah, that's Hamlet (or Amleth which is the story that inspired Hamlet)
Gladiator is top tier kino
The Batman was almost as lame as the Joker, nothing more eyeroll inducing than capeshit pretending they're above the source material by trying to be "realistic".
The Northman was a dull and awkward action movie with poorly directed action, it's not even as good as the lighthouse or the vvitch, boring viking porn.
Homosexual take. Thank you for giving us an insight into the homosexual community and their opinions about these movies. Very fascinating. Thanks.
>batman
staring for 2 hours at the black wall would give similar sensations
>northman
my uncle killed my dad i have to avenge him: viking movie #396
couldn't make it even past 20 minute mark
Braces. What did they mean by this?
that's teeth carving
Middle aged woman, braces, contacts, screaming.
What did they mean by this?
That's not the valkyrie actress
Scandinavia: leading the world in socialized healthcare and dentistry since 850 AD.
I really liked Skarsgard, he did a very good job in my opinion and basically made the movie.
he was quite ripped in this movie
had massive traps
mirin
His posture was so bizarre though so he could flex said traps 24 7. He had like forward head posture the entire movie. I was blown away at how shredded he was... clesrly put in work. but something about him walking around with his head jutting forward was so strange. I enjoyed the movie BTW.
The Batman was pretty cool but the ending completely ruined it and made the whole thing feel stupid in retrospect.
The Northman was good. Anyone saying it’s amazing or is even remotely the best film of the year is wrong and so is anyone that says it’s bad
Here here until I see others that cut cake
Correct, though Northman >>>>> Batman
Seeing Anya Taylor-Joy naked was the best movie moment of 2022
I liked the folk songs in Northman. The orgy one and funeral one.
Yea but it's not like there's any competition.
Batman and Northman were both painfully mediocre.
>Northman is painfully mediocre
I'd frick you up if i caught you saying that in realife. 1v1 ez. you'd be goo and they'd be scraping you off the carpark bitumen
Some of the acting is pretty bad and the film drags for a bit too long.
It's not bad by any means but it pales in comparison to Eggers' other films.
Haven't seen either.
Top Gun: Maverick says hi to all of these
>Northman turns out to be a masterpiece
>not a single Black person
Coincidence?
If you think it's a masterpiece just because it has no nogs in it you're moronic.
It could've been a lot better.
it's mediocre and there's a reason it's already completely forgotten, not sure how Eggers got 90 mil to spend on this
For me it's a 8/10. A masterpiece would be 10/10
it really makes non-white morons seethe
I'd buy that for a dollar!
This scene is pure kino if you're a history/archaeology geek like I am
That scene is mostly speculation and only really establishes them as a wolf cult. Way more other scenes are better for what you describe
Yeah but the scene is pretty much a creative take on the Torslunda plates
Nah, they should be naked but Eggers is a b***h boy making pseud shit.
I doubt he could get the funding if they were fully naked
Nudity scares the American.
Why are we still pretending that puritans are in power? I get that you don't like Reagan but you have to move on.
Progressives are puritans, they're just permissive in extremely specific cases.
Are we still doing the
>PEOPLE I DON'T LIKE ARE ACTUALLY...NOT MY PEOPLE ALL ALONG!
thing?
I don't really know what you mean by that
Why not call progressives as progressives? Why try to rebrand them as puritans? There isn't a hint of conservatism in them.
Because the original Puritans weren’t conservative at all. They were extremely radical proto-leftists.
that's weird
Top Gun had more soul than both of these films.
Top Gun is a soulless pozzed franchiseshit
Batman is Batman
Northman is soulless "we want the A24 audience". They got that, and it flopped because A24 films don't make money.
A24 didn't make Northman, dope
If they did it would have made a profit. New Regency thought it was a good idea to spend 90+ million on an indie film. They even copied A24 in the marketing of the movie.
They're owned by Universal, they can afford it
Isn't Eggers planning to make Nosferatu?
I think he's putting the project on halt for now because Harry Styles refused to participate and for some reason he really wanted Harry Styles for the movie
A24 would've made half the not-white.
This. They cast a Pajeet to play an Arthurian hero so they very well might have cast Idris Elba to play The Northman.
I'd say Robert Eggers has more power than A24 and Universal Pictures. Look at Universal's casting for the last Jurassic World movie coming out. It's the final film in the saga in they throw in a diversity hire. Introducing a new character in the final film is always smart. Only other big thing Universal has is Fast and Furious, which is also about to end.
>franchiseshit
what do you think batman is?
>The Northman
I’m thinking yes
>The Batman
Still capeshit
Try the new Cronenbergerino kino, shits cash.
>Nicole Kidman shits on Amleth's father for fricking prostitutes
>Her new husband does the same thing
The Northman is great, but Batman was one of the most boring films I've seens this year.
no
Yes.
Top Gun > Northman > Crimes of the Future > Batman
Top gun won bros...
>kino
Top Gun was a 5.5/10
but top gun 2 was an 8/10
When's the northbatman
Vinland saga was better
Aside from the superhuman feats (which I always attributed to it being about a saga, so the heroic characters posses impossible strength and agility) yeah it's way more accurate than almost any hollywood production.
>he doesn't know
OH NONONONO
It turns to shit (and not just because of the troony), but it's kino for a long while.
How does it become worse?
Not anons, but the manga basically looses itself. A big part of the manga and its appeal is the whole revenge arc thing which is really hard to get wrong, but the question is what happens next? It's not a stretch to believe Thorfinn becomes a a PTSD-eque pacifist who refuses to forget his time as a killer, but the story around him as that becomes drab for awhile. Also, there's this whole "no violence" thing which IMO doesn't feel fleshed out, especially since the story and Thorfinn goes out of his way after some point to get close to violence and choose peace when it's really a bad time to.
In a more simpler way ig, the story practically shifts to a new genre that feels very awkward. If you like adventure "slice of life" then you'd like it, if not then I suggest just dropping it until Thor actually comes back. PS he does actually use violence, its very rare but its self defense
If you watch anime you're a troony
Simple as
I think your phone misspelled "Avatar" as "anime". You're welcome.
bump
Batman was king asf, slow and just not good.
Northman’s pacing goes a bit shite in the middle but overall it’s great.
>bombs do no damage
>batman slams into an overpass at 100 mph and just walks it off
>catwoman's acting sucked balls
>gordon adds nothing
>white privilege line
>penguin getting caught red handed with a body, drugs and heaps of cash but nobody giving a shit
>batman acts smart one moment but goes full moron the next
>all crime is committed by caucasians
>the black dude in the skull gang gets portrayed as some kid caught up with the wrong crowd
>main antagonist is some Cinemaphile incel
>penguin was fantastic and didn't get nearly enough screentime
It's so inconsistent. The film had so much potential. If they had actually focused on the plot instead of trying to be politically correct it could've turned out fantastic.
What a shame.
One of the flight attendants on my flight from Brussels to Chicago looked like Anya Taylor-Joy
>Green Knight
>Batman
>Northman
I wish there was a way to enforce Rule 2.
?
Top Gun Maverick is the best
Lmao no
I concur. I have high expectations for Avatar: The Way of Water however.
I believe that will be kino of the year
