What's wrong with the Patriot? That's a solid ass war film and probably the coolest American Revolution movie out there. Its kind of stupid but wew lad is it a fun movie to watch with the boys.
Shut the fuck up
Then stop being a moron you zoomer gay
>t. Seething britcuck gay
The whole "we aren't slaves we just like to work for our South Carolinian owner" bit was pretty goofy lol
I love that part lmao
>O LAWDY MASSA WE SHO DO LUV WORKIN HERE FOS YOU AND YO PEOPLE OOO LAWD WE SHO DO LUV PICKIN ALL DIS TOBBACKI
>Get back to work moron
depicting well looked after slaves as content servants is probably one of the most accurate things.
they weren't slaves though
You just know Mel wanted them to be slaves at first but the studio was like "yeah that aint happenin"
Fuckin love Mel.
you realize not every black worker was a slave lol?
it's called indentured servant
if you have no historical knowledge stop spreading your ignorance around
>Plantation owner in South Carolina totally didn't have any slaves bros
Come on now dude
First slave owner in America was a black man. After the blacks were freed almost all of them went back to their plantations. 12 Years A Slave and Uncle Tom's Cabin was written by a white people.
Kek so what, how does this disprove the fact that Southern plantations had slaves and not a bunch of "we love massa so much we choose to stay here :)" wagies
Why are Americans so autistic about slavery? Nobody in Latin America would be making these gymnastics to try and avoid using the Slave word. Your ancestors were or had SLAVES bro, no biggy, it's not a magic curse
>how does this disprove the fact that Southern plantations had slaves and not a bunch of "we love massa so much we choose to stay here :)" wagies
It had slaves and it had free men, and free men still had to work. Even Jefferson Davis' slaves on record spoke about him with admiration and recalled their time on his plantation fondly.
>my ancestors had slaves
Less than 1% of the US population owned slaves. The majority of people in this country also came over well after the Civil War. There is a very, very small number of people in this country whose family ever owned slaves. My family didn't come over until the 1970s from Ireland. They sure as fuck didn't own any slaves you fucking retard.
>Nobody in Latin America would be making these gymnastics to try and avoid using the Slave word.
That's because nearly everyone in Latin America has native ancestors and they were all exploited as slave labor by the Spanish. Spanish colonialism was night and day compared to British or French. Even at the time the Spanish were regarded as taking slavery way too far with things like the mines at Cerro Potosi taking an estimated 8 million amerindian lives. There is no denying Latin American slavery because it was systematic and done on a governmental and church level as all the slavery was being down by the crown when the church wasn't forcibly making the survivors into converts and giving them their only way out.
Slavery north of the Spanish and Portugese empire was done on a private basis and it was more than possible for there to be freed slaves.
Americans are depicted as compassionate towards blacks, but in reality they would spend 30% of their waking moments Buck Breaking them (possibly more), which was not portrayed in the film.
You mean like the majority of what poor people went through, throughout history? There were plenty of black slaves who had it better than poor whites in this country. They were guaranteed room and board in exchange for manual labor. Even Harriet Tubman admitted that a lot of the slaves the tried to free (who were actually from Maine not the South like what propaganda makes people think) didn't want to leave because they were content. There was definitely abuse but hell there is abuse in the workplace these days too.
Slaves were
>guaranteed a house
>guaranteed food
>guaranteed a family
>never had to worry about losing any of it
>lived off massa's dime
>and all they had to do was work
And if you were lucky you got to live in the mansion and serve them food. A lot of times they even became part of the family.
hollywood hates the original core concept of burgerland so they want to spit on it and deny any positive portrayal. That and having a lead who is absolutely haram for the holier then thou tribe
the patriot is britkino, seethe more amerisharts
thats a very autistic way of fighting tbh
basically every soldier in the 18th century was a criminal who wouldn't fight unless they were constantly supervised, surrounded by their mates and threatened with flogging
Globalists hate those who root for the home team.
it's good but would have been 10x better if mel himself had directed it
Pearl Harbor wasn't even about Pearl Harbor lol
Ridley Scott's Robin Hood was trash
>seething bong in charge of Epic History TV page
lel
he does make pure napoleon kino though
>Whole gimmick of the channel is to talk about TV/films being historically accurate
>Noooo stop talking about this film being historically accurate
Why even bother watching the channel, man?
Your mixing up the channels lmao. Epic history has the good ass bapoleon and roman enpire docs. The movie guy is the bro with the glasses, i forgot his name but its totally different channel
Everything Everywhere All At Once
I saw a trailer to that and it looks so fucking obnoxious and stupid.
Mel seethe is the best. You can tell someone's inability to ignore politics and just enjoy something by finding out their opinion on Melkino.
The Battle at Lake Changjin was pretty awful and I've seen a lot of bad war movies.
then you have not seen entries of the Steven Seagaliverse. Yes, even CCP wanker porn is better
reminder that this movie has lots of historical inaccuracies. We didn't burn any church, hell we didn't even shoot Washington when they were fleeing.
Although this film did accurately portray ameripigs committing war crimes by shooting officers.
It was a mistake letting these uncultured swines free.
I literally lived one mile from Elijah Clark state park where the British burned a man's family alive in their own house because he was a continental officer and he was one of inspired inspiration for Mel's character.
Brits deserve to suffer eternally for not having done MORE to kill the Americans in the crib. Imagine a world without the USA, once the British Empire was gone we'd be rid of Anglo cancer forever
It's fine, they were militia and not regulars.
>oh no we are trying to oppress a nation that wants to be sovereign and they are....killing? our military? HEAVENS NO
Seethe harder, Britfag. We have guns and you have state enforced homosexuality.
>you have state enforced homosexuality.
This is very ironic coming from the Welthauptstadt of LGBTQ shit
You mean like the confederacy?
so true
>HOW DARE YOU FIGHT SECCESSIONISTS, IT'S OUR RIGHT TO GOVERN OURSELVES
>ERMM ARE YOU TRYING TO HECKIN SECEDE FROM THE UNION? TIME TO DIE
"We"
What's even the point of being patriotic in modern Britain? You think the Indian prime minister or the paki mayor of London deeply identify with 18th century British?
Don't get me wrong America isn't any better but I don't really see many contemporary displays of American patriotism anymore.
Who gives a shit what they think?
I’m sure it’s the same in Britain as it is here: there are real patriots there, they just don’t feel the need to make it overt. It might be better that they don’t.
Here, I see somebody in a tri-corn hat draped in the stars and bars, I give them the same respect I try to give others, but I don’t think of them as highly as I do those folks who really know what love for country is and as such kept it close to their hearts.
>war crimes
Why are there rules as to how you can kill each other in an active war zone? I understand not killing civilians but why is it not open season on killing other combatants? That seems really stupid to make rules when you’re already shooting and blowing each other up.
>NOO YOU HAVE TO LINE UP SINGLE FILE AND WAIT FOR US TO SAY GO
their biggest mistake was thinking a cornered dog was going to play by these autistic "gentlemans rules"
>We
americans have about as much a claim to british ancestry and belonging as you do you fucking gay britbonger.
What are you talking about you virgin freak?
It's a perfect summer popcorn flick. One of Roland's best.
Puppet master the littlest reich
Idgaf what people say the Patriot is pure kino and I love how much it makes British people seethe
Nothing beats watching The Patriot and playing Empire Total War at the same time
There are a thousand movies out there worse than The Patriot. What a retarded hill to die on.
Disgusting anti British movie, totally inaccurate
He apologized for his garden gnome claims though
Are we talking big budget or indie?
Big Budget: The Last Air Bender. Or Rise of Skywalker.
Small budget: Those cheap knock-off animated movies. Like Ratoing.
>The Last Air Bender. Or Rise of Skywalker.
>historic movies
your history lessons in school must have been fun as fuck
Star Wars happened a long time ago in a galaxy far far away. How is that not history?
It is schlock, and I love it.
July 4th every year, right next to “Con Air.”
The Patriot is John Williams's most underrated score.
West Side Story 1961. Cynical film for cynical people
only leftist gays have a problem with this movie
Why don't we have more Revolution kino?
the patriot makes my mom cry so it must be a good movie
Is she white? Ask her why she cries? Make her watch it with your dad
yea she's white. my dad and mom hate doing things together
>fights for independence from great britain so they can be in charge of their own destiny and not be told what to do by a foreign power
>250 years later half the country are a foreign power
