Actually good question, what will happen if it actually turns out to be kino? I see several options:

    >Cinemaphile going full contrarian mode, focusing on minor details like black people etc
    >Cinemaphile boardwars with gigantic threads getting maxxed out within minutes
    >(Impossible) actual praise from Cinemaphile

Almost the whole board claims it's going to be shit. So, if it's shit, they would just stop watching after first episode or first few episodes, right? That's what you do when the show is shit. If they are really going to hate it we will have very little threads about it. But you already know it won't be like that.

Cinemaphile will like it but they won't admit that. Because liking things is reddit. You need to "hate" every pozzed woke sjw globohomosexual shit. You "hate" it so much, you watch 50 hours of it and you spend all your free time constantly talking about it. L M A O.

I actually stopped watching Foundation. Not because it was too woke, but because it was just too shit to watch. Also a huge betrayal of the books. I already know that RoP is going to vastly contradict the books, but it might still have some redeeming elements. Probably not though.

Should she already be a mother at this point?

Yeah, what worries me isn't the diversity, it's the whole "time constriction" thing that Amazon is supposedly doing, with much shorter timespans between major events.
Which will be difficult to pull off, since you somehow have to fit Gil-Galad's realm blooming and its population massively swelling, and Elves don't reproduce that fast to do it in the span of a single human lifetime.

She looks 13 and 30 at the same time
          Her face irks me

Several that Galadriel would have witnessed/experienced for herself
          >Destruction of the two trees
          >Feanors autism speech + Oath
          >Kinslaying at Alqualonde
          >Crossing of the Helcaraxë
          >War of Wrath

Multiple other 1st age battles between Helcaraxë and War of Wrath too that could be told through experiencing it via her brother Finrod, who she lived with in Nargothrond for a while. I mean they are definitely doing the Battle of Sudden Flame anyway which is a really top tier 1st aged battle

Shes not as bad as this guy though
What the frick were they thinking

Galadriel's characters is kind of a mess, not her characterisation but what she actually gets up to, especially in the 2nd age
So im not really surprised they will just write her a completely new set of events, its not like Tolkien settled on one and Christopher couldn't work out what she actually got up to either.

Yeah. However they are writing her like hot female Gandalf, wandering around looking for evil. She should have Elrond's role and going to Moria to build ties with the Dwarves.

I mean sure you can make that argument, she did get on well with dwarves.
Think they want her to have the more central role though so shes off to meet Elendil in Numenor which will probably plant the seeds for the inevitable last alliance, at least with their connection through Finrod it does make some sense though

ROP(e)'s timeline is a super condensed version of the books. The actual rings are made about the mid point of the 2nd Age, while Ar-Pharazon and Isildur and the Fall of Numenor is very much at the end of 2nd Age, about 1,500 years apart from each other. So who knows how old Elrond is supposed to be here. Gil-galad is supposed to be only few centuries older than Elrond, which is basically nothing to elves.

actually they should look like they are in their prime (so 21-22 or something like that),thats the point of the elves, they look so unnatural because they are old fricks in very young and fit bodies.
even in jackson movies they couldnt do this because younger actors dont have the same presence on screen.

Like maybe they could have a part where they make a cooking show like that one anime show about cooking and they could like, try putting the ring in the perfect acidic formula that melts the ring, and then they can bake cookies.

Guaranteed that this is her riding out of some ceremonious bullcrap as some sort of Mulan tier "rebellion" scene after somebody (a man) tells her that she shouldn't go to war, where she then ends up dawning her full suit of armor + sword

She's riding with Elendil, I doubt old 'elf friend' is trying to tell her what to do. I wouldn't be surprised if he reveres her considering his families connection to her brother

I love how in Jacksons films you could tell the difference between elf and man at a glance. He made them look totally distinct and yet not alien. In this you can't tell at all, they look the same

It's true, it's why the races all look near identical to one another. It's so your moronic uncle doesn't have to think too hard when staring at the screen because long hair = elf, beard = man, shorty with beard = dwarf, shorty no beard = hobbit
Yay me LOTR fan now too

Or it's possible he made them look different because they are actually different. The added bonus being that, yes, the audience knows immediately that they are different. Terrible, really, to think of your audience when making a film. I'm glad amazon haven't made that mistake.

It's a combination of things both subtle and glaring that makes them feel so special. Elves in the films literally gleam with light when they appear and are awe inspiring to behold, Arwen, Elrond and especially Galadriel who is genuinely too much to even look at for most of the fellowship, too overwhelmed by her beauty and her power, and the actors faces, the editing, and focusing on her eyes as she scans all of them, the music being unlike anything else you hear in the trilogy etc. all adds up to give her that strangely terrifying appearance despite being a force for good.
