The "A Regular Halloween for the Simpsons" special they did about Lisa getting traumatized by Halloween Horror Nights at Krustyland and Homer pissing off Spirit Halloween workers was actually pretty good.
Who the frick even cares about death note anymore? I don't and Im a fricking weeb. Maybe I cared when I was in high school as it was running in WSJ and then even later when it was made into an anime. But that was literally at this point DECADES AGO.
Yes, but it’s totally gonna be different this time you guys, we promise.
The two epilogue one-shots already ruined Death Note.

This, and I say that as somebody who seriously enjoys the series. It's way out of the limelight at this point and its cultural peak was literally 15 years ago now. Seems bizarre to parody it now.
I'm actually surprised that it wasn't parodied more back when it was airing, that shit was fricking huge and there were multiple incidents of kids getting found with fake Death Notes. Is it just that adults at the time were still totally out of the anime loop?
homie, they made a fricking bakugan parody YEARS after it ended (and years before it got rebooted). These Black folk made a Pokemon GO episode looooong after the hype died too. My grandsons might have to suffer the Fate parody in the next century.
Gross. I don't know how even a competent writer could Parady Death Note. Imagining modern-day Simpsons doing it is just painful.
I could see parodying the shitty Netflix movie but the main material seems pretty tricky. Let me guess Homer is going to eat a bunch of potato chips. Lisa is going to be L either Homer or Bart will eat all of her sweets. And Santa's Little Helper can be the shinagamy.
Part of me wants it to be a Bob episode. I think he'd make a good L to a Bart playing Light and plus they can speed things up by going >wait why am I making up plans I know his name already
I know but come on.
How long until we get Ito parodies like this next? >dho >machines are latching on to 3 eyed fish and are killing people then the machines latch on to people >turns out it was just burns trying to make a fish that could live on land to race in some stupid billionaire shit
It's just so tiresome
More like Family Guy. Last episode from Season 20 had Stewie have a line mocking trannies, and then a scene where they name drop Cinemaphile. Hell, the centric plot promotes masculine men, and women in housewife roles.
>2040 >The Simpsons only releases Halloween episodes >many in the audience don't realize "Treehouse of Horror" is not the title of the program >modern viewers are confused if they see decades-old episodes in which no one dies
Fox's shows are tame as frick now and so is American ""adult"" animation in general: >Multiple episodes of different adult cartoons banned from home media, tv and streaming services for being "offensive" >Quagmire is no longer a pervert >Homer no longer strangles Bart >Recast characters VAs based on skin color >Family Guy redesigned Jesus to have a darker skin tone, recasted Cleveland and no longer allows any racist jokes on top of constantly apologizing for all the "offensive" jokes of the past >Apu erased, Carl and Bumblebee man recasted >No bare female butts are allowed only male
and so on
why was ms krabappel so important that they couldnt replace her VA, but martin not important that they replaced him right away? honestly i always though martin was voiced by nancy just like the rest of the boy characters
Disney era, i think if Russi Taylor died before the Fox/Disney buy out they would've actually retired her characters. besides Disney is really adamant on characters being recast now. i don't think the equity recasts were done just to be woke, it's to adjust audiences to the idea that the main simpson family voices are replaceable and reproduceable.
>the main simpson family voices are replaceable and reproduceable
That makes sense. Kavner will be the first to die I'm sure, and since she only voices 3 main characters, two of which are identical, they will definitely replace her. Castellaneta and Cartwrite both voice a lot of characters on the show, so they might be harder to replace. Yeardly only voices Lisa, so that might be easy.
I wonder if they'd really do all of that, or just finally end the show with a proper finale.
a few years ago one of the producers talked about how a finale might go. it basically followed them getting ready to go to a winter play at the school, and making it loop right back around to the first episode, but futurama literally already did that. So i doubt that would be the conclusion
Iirc Martin was voiced by a few actresses. Usually it was Russi, but I think Tress and Nancy even did it once or twice if she wasn't available. It was either Martin or someone else I'm thinking of.
Are they even worth watching? Last one I watched was the one where sideshow Bob finally kills Bart and Homer was Godzilla and it was mediocre
Thanksgiving of Horror was pretty good.
The "A Regular Halloween for the Simpsons" special they did about Lisa getting traumatized by Halloween Horror Nights at Krustyland and Homer pissing off Spirit Halloween workers was actually pretty good.
This.
The two epilogue one-shots already ruined Death Note.
*and it was absolute garbage
ftfy
>Bob finally kills Bart
How?
I'd actually be ok if they only just make 1 episode a month.
Who the frick even cares about death note anymore? I don't and Im a fricking weeb. Maybe I cared when I was in high school as it was running in WSJ and then even later when it was made into an anime. But that was literally at this point DECADES AGO.
Netflix is doing a new version too.
Didn't they already frick it up once?
Yes, but it’s totally gonna be different this time you guys, we promise.
Death Note was never in the Wall Street Journal, you fricking troll.
death note was HUGE in the 2000s, and seeing as how the Simpsons is perpetually a decade or so behind the times, well...
This, and I say that as somebody who seriously enjoys the series. It's way out of the limelight at this point and its cultural peak was literally 15 years ago now. Seems bizarre to parody it now.

Homer as berserker would be fun
It still has a banger ost
DOMINE KIRA
I’m still mad they canceled printing in America.
if it's going to be a zombie just let the simpsons be entirely these experimental specials
modern simpsons is best when experimental
>A 21 minute movie parody instead of three 7 minute movie parodies is "experimental"
Did Marge ever actually become a robot?
Yes, Artie Ziff builds an army of Marge sex robots
Technically twice this
And that time an AI marge was made.
no, and bart never owned a bear. I think Moe did get a cell phone. And they did have a crazy wedding, with comic book guy.
you forgot that Grandpa did marry Selma at some point
I guess i did, because i dont remember that happening. what was the episode/context
This. It's one of the reasons the comics were better than the show after a while.
>they parody the amerigay live-action version of death note instead
that Thanksgiving of Horror was kino they should do
Gross. I don't know how even a competent writer could Parady Death Note. Imagining modern-day Simpsons doing it is just painful.

wasn't there a simpsons comic that already did it?
found it
Cool
>Marge looks like Mihoshi from Tenchi Muyo
Please no. I already fapped today
>DEATH NOTE parody
SIMPSONS DID IT.
This picture makes me think about Lisa's panties
Part of me wants it to be a Bob episode. I think he'd make a good L to a Bart playing Light and plus they can speed things up by going
>wait why am I making up plans I know his name already
I predict they'll parody dragon ball in season 40
>Herbert returns as El Hermano de Homer
>death note
Really.
Have they run out of movie parodies or something?
Netflix announced a new Death Note movie a couple of weeks ago.
I know but come on.
How long until we get Ito parodies like this next?

The Simpsons keeps getting bbased every year.
More like Family Guy. Last episode from Season 20 had Stewie have a line mocking trannies, and then a scene where they name drop Cinemaphile. Hell, the centric plot promotes masculine men, and women in housewife roles.

Family Guy seems to be continuing the trend too, since there's a scene in season 21 trailer of Peter being suspicious of Amazon spying on him.
didnt they just do that episode with the recent christmas episode? stewie had a chinese panda toy that was spying on them.
Fox's shows are tame as frick now and so is American ""adult"" animation in general:

>Apu erased, Carl and Bumblebee man recasted
>No bare female butts are allowed only male
and so on
And they left the episode with actual black face.
>removing the boondocks for cultural insensitivity
wow, the irony in this one is just staggering
which eps did they even remove? they were all over the top. even the first ep with uncle ruckus's garden song
The Jimmy Rebel episode, I think.
What went wrong?
Female ass bad
>full length episode parody of It
...are they doing the sewer orgy?
They won't show it but they might get away with alluding to it or implying it
this already happened a few years ago with kang and kodos and thanksgiving terror horror
why was ms krabappel so important that they couldnt replace her VA, but martin not important that they replaced him right away? honestly i always though martin was voiced by nancy just like the rest of the boy characters

they will do anything but actually end it.

At least they're parodying something fresher this time instead of overused DBZ/Gundam/Sailor Moon references.
who the frick actually still watches the simpsons?
>TOH parody of Death Note
the comics already beat them to it
Good, surprised it took so long to go the South Park route.
