Are you fond of Land Yachts or are you one of those traitor boomers who paint their muscle/pony cars with pearlescent candy colors and install the most godawful wide rims who b***h about 5-mph bumpers being ugly?
I remember being 14 and saying the cringe "le born the wring generation, I wish I was a teen in the 70's" to my mom which she replied "no you dont it was fricking terrible."
Maybe I'm mistaken but it hit me that the 70s had really long openings. Like the main character might be driving around forever it seems before anything real happens.
You know what hit me because I watched some of each in one night but movies made in the 70s vs take place. I don't like the take place as much. Like a theme restaurant or something every car, every shirt is so stereotypical. I also noticed a 70s R rated movie might actually have worse dialogue and other things going on compared to now. I love it.
70s were a mediocre decade in general for high art. america was in the midst of stagflation and an oil crisis, there was no money to spend on art. the art that did exist was hobos making hippie shit in their basement.
if you ignore the 2010s and 2020s
And the 00s and the 90s
The 90’s were pretty solid overall.
Kino cars tho

it's literally the best, you fricking moron, what kind of bait is this
maybe in the states
2000s, 2010s, 2020s are all worse.
the 70s has tons of great flicks
actually every decade from the 40s to the 2010s has enough good stuff to make this debate kind of pointless
the 2020s are not looking good though

I never forgot that and still cringe about it.
meant for.
Your mom was a cringe, idiot normie, things are getting worse, music, art, technology, people, everything.
cinema peaked in the 70s and it's not even close
Great decade in film, worst decade in society however (until recently)
Absolute shit take 70s absolutely blows the 60s out of the water
So how much of this board is just pure bait? 90%?
Yeah that or reddit reposts. Someone saw tarantuktino mention how good the 70s kinos were and had to make an epic thread about it
booooo
have a nice day
Completely out of your fricking mind.
Stay away from film and entertainment.
If you're moronic. To kino appreciators the 70s and the 80s were the peak.
groovy dude!
pic related would murder you for saying that

popular music and film both peaked in the 70s
*90s
Don't know about that anon, I just watched taxi driver and it's good. So it can't be worse than 2020s already. But 70s nostalgia sucks.
Bait used to be believable.
Black person please..
