What was bad about it? It was how Sauron and Saruman communicated and we see the hobbit and later Aragorn use it to trick Sauron
          >absolutely terrible Gondor white city battle
Only bad part is the ghosts and the elephants and the cavalry charge where it's cgi horses running into cgi orcs

Doesn't really count. It was originally meant to be called Legion and was going to have little to nothing to do with Exorcist but studio meddling insisted it be called Exorcist III and that it have more direct references for marketing reasons. They even totally reshot the ending so that the movie would have an actual exorcism in it.

Also, Exorcist II is horrible, so it doesn't really count for that reason.

I like both the Nolan and the Burton films, so I couldn't really tell you.

They didn't send every cop into the sewers. The average major metropolitan city has roughly 50,000 police officers. Did that look like 50,000 cops to you? It was like a thousand at best. There were a bunch elsewhere in the city who were hunted down and killed over the several months that the siege went on. There is also a faction that survives both the tunnel cave-in and the culling that happens throughout the rest of the city, including primary characters Gordon and Blake as well as supporting ones like Foley. It's not just those three guys. You can see other officers in those scenes.

As for the bomb thing, I happen to think it's pretty ingenious to keep the thing mobile so that it's harder to target. It's going to completely destroy the city no matter where it is, so it's not like it's any more or less dangerous to do so, and there's no indication that it's the sort of device that could explode if it gets jostled around. It's not like it's filled with nitroglycerin.

That's because that's not where your attention is supposed to be. Watch any film with that many stuntmen in the background and you're going to see some immersion breaking shit if you focus on them. It's not like they can choreograph every single skirmish in a setpiece of that size and magnitude. They're stuntmen at best, unpaid extras at worst, and they were asked to improvise so that's what you get. There really isn't any other way to do it.

Why would you even bother scanning the corners of the screen looking for out of focus extras doing silly things unless you either have some kind of vendetta or you're really, really bored? I don't get it.

Yeah that blaming the audience shit is moronic. I could even forgive him for thinking the 3rd movie simply needs to be "biggerer and betterer" but the film's worst crime was that it undoes positive ending of TDK retroactively allowing the joker to win.

What difference does it make if Batman stops the big boom from going off if Gotham has already destroyed itself from the inside like Joker said they would?

        >What difference does it make if Batman stops the big boom from going off if Gotham has already destroyed itself from the inside like Joker said they would?
because like batman they can also rise up and pbbbbbbbbbbbt

Kek but they didn't. Joker said they'd turn on each other if you destroyed their spirit by taking down Dent. Batman framed himself for multiple murders to avoid that happening.

Then TDKR undoes all that, reveals the truth (which nobody would believe but ignore that) and Gotham eats itself alive just like Joker said it would

I always thought that after the impact of Joker on Bruce, a movie with Riddler+Strange fricking up his mind would have been perfect as a Nolan movie.

      Rises was terrible
      Spider-Man 3 was horrendous.
      No Way Home was garbage
      Dream Warriors was schlock.
Good, Bad & Ugly wasn't a sequel, they were different characters in each movie.
Star Trek Beyond was shit, like all Abrams Trek.

Easily the weakest of the three.

I don't think Zack Snyder's Justice League is as good as Man of Steel of Batman v Superman. But as a third in the trilogy it's absolutely amazing.

    Rises sucked.

Return of the King was perfect.
Back to the Future 3 was great, some would argue better than 2.
Return of the Living Dead 3 is my favorite in the series.
Return of the Jedi is perfectly fine.
    Army of Darkness is fantastic.
Captain America: Civil War didn't suck.
The third Pirates of the Cerribbean was fine.

      No one ever argues that.

I have heard several people argue that the western setting was a nice change of pace and nearly tied the trilogy together as well as giving Doc a nice ending.
