there are now at least two active versions of
>superman
>batman
>flash
>robin
>the question
>blue beetle
>spider-man
>captain america
>wolverine
>hawkeye
I'm sure there's more, plus there's a load of continuity-clones like the five different versions of Supergirl or the Nu52 Connor.
How you feel about this trend of characters sharing the same moniker?

Glad my favorite isn’t doing that. Seems incredibly dumb.
I don't hate it with some character. Like for whatever reason, it makes sense for Clint and Kate to share the Hawkeye name.
But why the hell is Jace Fox calling himself Batman? Why is Tim now Robin again and Connor is still Superboy despite Jon being Superman? Doesn't make any sense.
I guess Superhero names are hard, but c'mon. Just give them new titles ffs.

what a weird coincidence that all the straight white male characters don't have a straight white male legacy
Superman was created by two israelites.
Batman was created by a staunch LGBT ally with a bisexual son. The most iconic Batman voice actor is a gay man.
Wonder Woman was created by a polyamorous man.
90% of Marvel was created by two israelites.
that's great, but doesn't address that the straight white male characters are being systematically replaced
>replaced
this thread is literally about how they are active at the same fricking time
I understand you have to be a fricking idiot to spew racist shit like this in the first place but come the frick on
three of the dc ones were meant to be replacements in 5g and peter was killed off so miles could take over
>were meant to be
No, only Bruce would've died. Clark would've led The Authority and Diana would be doing something else.
>peter was killed off so miles could take over
In an alternate fricking universe dipshit
bruce replaced by jace
clark replace by jon
diana replaced by yara
flash replaced by the non binary or abo
jo's the main green lantern
arthur replaced by jackson
you can go "they were off doing something else" but they weren't the main version of that character
>In an alternate fricking universe dipshit
so? that's how the character came to be, and it's the take they used for itsv
Nice reading comprehension, moron. Literally an entire thread about how all the white dudes have another counterpart, but your mouthbreathing shit brain thinks that's replacement.
>Batman was created by a staunch LGBT ally with a bisexual son. The most iconic Batman voice actor is a gay man.
Fake
Flash does, Wally's still white. One of them.
>Wally's still white
not for lack of trying by didio, and they tried to replace wally/barry with the non-binary one and the cripple at the same time
waaah I can't believe DC has gone completely woke it wasn't like this back in the day
>don't have a straight white male legacy
Dick Grayson, Jason Todd, Damien Wayne, Terry McGinnis
..how do they even make money? it's certainly not selling comics.
How does someone as stupid and out of touch like you even get on the internet?
Do you honestly think people buy this garbage?
this looks interesting, what's the source?
Immortal Hulk: The Transition
Just a reminder that in Marvel God is a reincarnation of Cthulhu and that this is what they have to say about him.
comics are just ads
why does Miles being black always trump his latino side
no one cares about latinos, it's why miguel keeps getting shit while miles gets an ongoing and hilariously bad minis
>it's why miguel keeps getting shit
No, it's because no one cares about the 2099 heroes. They bring them back every few years and nobody cares.
miguel is latino in name only
>Phantom fans laugh through 400 years
Come up with a new hero that is in no way attached to any pre existing character or concept in any fashion and also doesn't have "being a fan or admirer of a pre existing hero" as a key character trait.
>trend
This has been a thing since forever.
Not really. Only example I can think is Green Lantern but the entire point is that there are multiple of them.
Characters die or are retconned away into a separate timeline and a new character takes their name, but the concept of two characters sharing a mantle at the same time is relatively new.
There's been three Flashes, three Blue Beetles, two Batgirls, God knows how many Robins, Spider-Man clones calling themselves Spider-Man, Bucky calling himself Captain América, not even getting into the heroes whose mantle legacy is a gimmick in itself like Black Panther, etc, etc.
Dude, Batman, Superman, Flash and more had 2 active white heroes that sharred the same mantle in the past.
>look up DC solicitations
>there's a new set of characters called Duo
>it's part of the Milestone universe which is never supposed to interact with mainstream continuity
At least there's Monkey Prince and Primer.
>it's part of the Milestone universe which is never supposed to interact with mainstream continuity
Wasn't Static part of Young Justice or Titans at some point?
Back then they folded everything together then Flashpoint and Nu52 happened then they erased Wildstorm and Milestone characters from Earth Prime by never mentioning them again then Rebirth/Batlaugh happened. Now Milestone is back to being on it's own thing while Tom rapes Authority characters as supporting characters for Jon.
Replacement theory gays seethe cause they have agoraphobia
>Because it's a symbol, not a person
I have no idea what's going on in the comics, but I'm willing to bet Bruce is being replaced with a minority.
>How you feel about this trend of characters sharing the same moniker?
Unless they're a Green Lantern, this shit needs to stop.
