If I remember correctly it was supposed to be that his species has their full consciousness survive in every cell of theirs and since the Omnitrix had some of his DNA his consciousness was alive in it. How him leaving the Omnitrix took his DNA with him I still don't know though.
Zs'Skayr was originally scanned while he possessed an Florauna (Wildvine's species), so he really wasn't supposed to be there in the first place, and an Ectonurite's consciousness can survive with just a single strand of DNA.
I'm disappointed no one really uses Frightwig for anything. I think she has potential for a lot of cool stuff.

I’ll admit that the writers could’ve handled their relationship better, but I don’t really mind that Ben got with Kai in the end. They were cute most of the time. It also just confuses me how they are so many people calling this relationship abusive, you can not like the ship that’s fine but that’s just making up a stupid reason imo
I wouldn't say 'abusive,' they just spend more time arguing instead of being a couple, even while married, and implying Ben 10,000 is THE future of Omniverse despite the continuity snarls left a bad taste in people's mouths.

I’ve always maintained that future is just one that’s very similar to the original Ben 10,000 future. There’s just too many inconsistencies, and the rules of time travel in Ben 10 mean that the future can change

Honestly it’s usually the show’s creative teams/writers changing things from the previous show for good or worse that makes it more confusing than it show be.
You see the OG Series is different from Alien Force/Ultimate Alien and Omniverse and different from those two mainly do to that fact OV tried to make the universe more in line with the OG Series for better or worse. There’s the really dumb retcon of everything being Alien related in UAF (So things like Magic and Mutants are just in fact Alien shit that’s been misinterpreted) that I’m honestly glad got reverted in OV but even Omniverse had its problems like dropping Ben’s two series long girlfriend for mostly a quick joke. Each iteration post the OG has its positives and negatives but honestly I just think it’s wild how it evolved for better or worse over 10 years to basically grow a new universe/franchise which we don’t really get nowadays.

I mean, that's sort of the case for most of the girls though, isn't it? They don't want them to be ugly so even the alien girls still look reasonably simple. Unfortunately, Frightwig is also human so there is even less room to play with.
I mean, if would probably be really hard to be a half breed if only part of your body was on fire. But I do agree it was strange. It's sort of odd how exactly he looked like that alien species as well even though he was a half breed. The others look a little off.
Maybe it has to do with how well your body adapts to the DNA. Like Alan’s genetics or whatever were more compatible with pyronite DNA then say Helen with kinerceleran DNA

I always liked the body horror like aspects of the original series' transformation. They weren't too extreme but some of them were pretty wicked and I thought it was cool to see them try to justify how his body could force itself to become those aliens.

Does it count as an AU if it was a thing in the show? Personally I always really liked the last bit of that weird Gwen 10 episode of the original series where Max gets the Omnitrix. A grandpa on a vacation road trip with his grandkids happening to find a mysterious alien device that transforms him into all kinds of aliens sounds like a fun start. Sure, it's not the most out there change but I feel like it could have promise. Gwen could still learn magic but Ben would have to find something else. Maybe be the one who helps the group with out of the box solution and perhaps even pick up some Plummer tech from Max. Feels like that would be a fun trio. Seeing how some of the aliens would look like in when their Max's equivalent age would also be kind of cool. I'm sure some of them could develop in unique ways.
That does sound fun. Ben could be the “plumber in training” where Max uses his down time to teach Ben how to use his gadgets
Honestly I would take Ship from AF and give it to young Ben. Maybe do it like with Big Chill and a piece of Max’s Upgrade form separates long enough that it gains sentience like Ship did. A boy and his dog is a classic cartoon trope, and it would help teach Ben responsibility. Ben is a very hands on character and even with Plumber Tech he would still want to jump in on the action, so having a Shape shifting Alien Dog that becomes a Mechsuit Battle Armor I think would work.
Giving ten year old Ben a “shape shifting alien dog that becomes a mechsuit battle armor” would be terrifying. Imagine being Vilgax and this screaming child in a mechamorph armor is shooting lasers at you screaming “Get your claws off my grandpa Vilgax!”

So because of this thread I rewatch her first episode and a YouTube compilation videos.
1. Off the bat, Ben is attracted to her. There's a big part of Ben trying to impress her.
2. Kai very aloof with Ben. The line she says wanting to train him and keep him as a pet really comes out of nowhere. Ben even makes fun of it later. Kai does seem have a furry cresh on the werewolf transformation later.
3. In general they have a fun back and forth, but I think knowing they get married is a little much and takes away from the will they won't they relationship.
Overall, it's mostly weird because the show doesn't use her that much, so we rarely see her.
I think it wouldn’t benefited her being a semi recurring character. Like every couple episodes or something she shows up and her and Ben go on an adventure. And I agree they’ve got good chemistry, both are stubborn and a little argumentative but they still like each other
On the one side, she's a furry pervert that only wants his red rocket, on the other side, a girl who wants to get railed by him in alien form is hard to find and knotting to scoff at.
She was in like 4 episodes of the original series, for 2 of those episodes she was the minion of a much more interesting villain and for the other 2 it was a two parter against a team c-list villain (and Animo). Aside from that she appeared twice in omniverse as minion in the first episode of season 5 and as a cameo. She's a character who does very little and for the most part gets over shadowed by who ever she's working for at the moment.

I guess it's just that with other shows having random one off and background characters getting a surprising amount of attention, it's kind of sad seeing characters that got passed up entirely. I was kind of hoping reboot Frightwig would at least spark some interest in her again, but I don't even know how many times she shows up in that.

Omniverse has storylines that have multiverse related storylines and ben meets alternate universe versions of himself
Feedback was an alien ben unlocked when he was 11 and it was able to absorb energy and dish it back out. Malware was a villain who was able to separate Feedback from the watch and destroyed him in front of ben's eyes, leading to him not wanting to use feedback again for years
Omniverse has storylines that go back to when Ben was a kid instead of a teen or will relate to a present storyline in some way.
Feedback is an alien form Ben unlocked after the original series, and quickly became his go-to form. Malware, one of the villains introduced in Omniverse, found a way to seperate Feedback from the Omnitrix and destroyed the form.
Sounds fun. I don't think we really got Frightwig and Charmcaster in the same scene together in the show or in fan art. Or at least I don't remember that.

What do you guys prefer, the cinematic transformations from OG and UAF? Or the crazier morphing used for OV. I like the OV transformations personally. Seeing him enveloped in that green energy and watching his body morph into the alien looks sick as hell
I always liked the body horror like aspects of the original series' transformation. They weren't too extreme but some of them were pretty wicked and I thought it was cool to see them try to justify how his body could force itself to become those aliens.

Does it count as an AU if it was a thing in the show? Personally I always really liked the last bit of that weird Gwen 10 episode of the original series where Max gets the Omnitrix. A grandpa on a vacation road trip with his grandkids happening to find a mysterious alien device that transforms him into all kinds of aliens sounds like a fun start. Sure, it's not the most out there change but I feel like it could have promise. Gwen could still learn magic but Ben would have to find something else. Maybe be the one who helps the group with out of the box solution and perhaps even pick up some Plummer tech from Max. Feels like that would be a fun trio. Seeing how some of the aliens would look like in when their Max's equivalent age would also be kind of cool. I'm sure some of them could develop in unique ways.

Honestly I would take Ship from AF and give it to young Ben. Maybe do it like with Big Chill and a piece of Max’s Upgrade form separates long enough that it gains sentience like Ship did. A boy and his dog is a classic cartoon trope, and it would help teach Ben responsibility. Ben is a very hands on character and even with Plumber Tech he would still want to jump in on the action, so having a Shape shifting Alien Dog that becomes a Mechsuit Battle Armor I think would work.
Giving ten year old Ben a “shape shifting alien dog that becomes a mechsuit battle armor” would be terrifying. Imagine being Vilgax and this screaming child in a mechamorph armor is shooting lasers at you screaming “Get your claws off my grandpa Vilgax!”

Pretty much this. I don't have much interest in anything else after the main series. But I will admit, some of the looks and ideas weren't entirely bad. I just didn't like what it did to the canon before it.

So because of this thread I rewatch her first episode and a YouTube compilation videos.
1. Off the bat, Ben is attracted to her. There's a big part of Ben trying to impress her.
2. Kai very aloof with Ben. The line she says wanting to train him and keep him as a pet really comes out of nowhere. Ben even makes fun of it later. Kai does seem have a furry cresh on the werewolf transformation later.
3. In general they have a fun back and forth, but I think knowing they get married is a little much and takes away from the will they won't they relationship.
Overall, it's mostly weird because the show doesn't use her that much, so we rarely see her.
I think it wouldn’t benefited her being a semi recurring character. Like every couple episodes or something she shows up and her and Ben go on an adventure. And I agree they’ve got good chemistry, both are stubborn and a little argumentative but they still like each other

She was in like 4 episodes of the original series, for 2 of those episodes she was the minion of a much more interesting villain and for the other 2 it was a two parter against a team c-list villain (and Animo). Aside from that she appeared twice in omniverse as minion in the first episode of season 5 and as a cameo. She's a character who does very little and for the most part gets over shadowed by who ever she's working for at the moment.
Yeah, that's reasonable. I guess it's just that with other shows having random one off and background characters getting a surprising amount of attention, it's kind of sad seeing characters that got passed up entirely. I was kind of hoping reboot Frightwig would at least spark some interest in her again, but I don't even know how many times she shows up in that.
What do you think happened to these guys? I like to think they went back to their home planets and went on to have successful acting careers

Omniverse has storylines that have multiverse related storylines and ben meets alternate universe versions of himself
Feedback was an alien ben unlocked when he was 11 and it was able to absorb energy and dish it back out. Malware was a villain who was able to separate Feedback from the watch and destroyed him in front of ben's eyes, leading to him not wanting to use feedback again for years
Omniverse has storylines that go back to when Ben was a kid instead of a teen or will relate to a present storyline in some way.
Feedback is an alien form Ben unlocked after the original series, and quickly became his go-to form. Malware, one of the villains introduced in Omniverse, found a way to seperate Feedback from the Omnitrix and destroyed the form.
