Unlike all of the spastic autists ITT i do actually enjoy their sense of humor, and I will watch HITB for movies I have no intention of watching just for the skits/ the riffing at times. I think people just need to get over the notion that they will ever honestly review one of these bigtime Disney productions. It is 100% about keeping their engagement up, which I am fine with as long as that means they can keep making enjoyable shit with a slightly skeptical edge. Can't think of any other channel their size where one of the main hosts says they believe in Pedowood and get away with it, let alone riff fo about all the Hollywood producers who are raping kids for 5 minutes.

The fact they watch comic book garbage at all should be enough proof for anyone that they have some kind of secret deal with Disney. I don't let it get my panties all in a bunch, I just ignore any video they upload about about marvel/disneyshit because I know it is pure sponsored garbage.

Isn't it so much more pathetic that they AREN'T paid by Disney? Disney doesn't give a shit about them or their opinions. Yet, all three of them are still paying for Disney's streaming service, going to the theatre and watching Disney's releases, and making free advertising for Disney on the internet.
      Honestly, it's sad.
I'm sure they would pretend its just for views. It's all just business, but you know all of them would sit and watch whatever Disney puts out because that's genuinely who they are.
They can pretend they're better than that. That they're better than the audience that it was made for. But the truly pathetic thing is, they ARE the audience. They're just not intelligent or self-aware enough to realize it.

It's genuinely fricking sad. They got their start critiquing the prequels, so they can never, NEVER back down from ANYTHING they said about them, even the part where they recommended JJ Abrams direct the movies. Their Episode VII review was them gushing about it an hour after seeing it, without even thinking, so they doubled down on hating Rogue One, because they didn't want to seem like shills. Then the culture war hit The Last Jedi, and they were crippled from saying anything of meaning without being called nazis.

Did Picard do something as stupid as Obi-Wan leaving Darth Vader alive for a second time for no reason, letting him continue to be evil and kill innocents for years to come? Did Picard do something as stupid as Obi-Wan hiding Leia under a trenchcoat in order to sneak out of a packed Imperial hangar?

I don't mean these to be rhetorical questions, by the way. You can answer whether or not Picard did something just as stupid or even stupider.

Hard to really articulate how awful picard is if you don't have the background experience of having watched basically any other star trek show. I can tell you that I watched the first two episodes of kenobi at a party and we had a good time making fun of it. I tried watching the first two episodes of picard with some friends and every second was complete torture.

It's debunked by basic knowledge of filmmaking. The phrase "saved in the editing" is inherently redundant because every fricking movie is "saved" in the edit, you don't slap together every take you have in sequence without a good three-quarters of the whole process being tinkering and refining

Obi-Wan is way way way better than Rise of Skywalker and somewhat better than TLJ, plus it doesn't utterly kill Star Wars. The only truly bad thing about it is the contrived writing, particularly around Reva who gets left for dead by Vader, conveniently finds evidence that Vader has a son, then teleports to Tattooine.

In a perfect world, there would be extended edition Plinkett reviews of The Dark Knight Rises, Jurassic World, and The Rise Of Skywalker. Those are each perfect for that style of analysis, where you can contrast with other movies in the franchise. You could literally talk for days about all the little way in which each of those movies are unbelievably idiotic and destroy everything about their respective franchises. And to date, there has been complete DEAFENING silence from these fricks. I'm pretty sure they even LIKED Jurassic World!

Mike Stoklasa could stand in the middle of Fifth Avenue shoot someone and he wouldn't lose any Patreon supporters.

He should at least do episode 9. There is unfinished business here and they know. It's not like there is a shortage of material to work with. TFA and TLJ are unpleasant and irritating for political and messaging reasons, but they were at least coherent and competently shot and edited. RoS is a disaster on par with the prequels where literally nothing makes sense, every single last detail is pants-on-head moronic. Everything Plinket said about the prequels applies to it. It is a real shame Mike won't use this golden opportunity to turn things around and end the Plinkett legacy in a high note.

        Anonymous

They should have the RoS review be Plinkett shooting himself in the head at the start and then two hours of his body lying there.

Better than NOTHING. Cowards. Mike really needs to realize that his fans would absolutely forgive him if he could just admit he was wrong for once. Same thing happened with Trey Parker after Trump won and his stripper wife with the black son left him back-to-back. I don't think he really cared about the politics so much, but he couldn't handle that he had gotten something wrong, so he proceeded to just double down and lash out and alienate fans with the tegridy shit. A simple show of humility is all it would take to get all of that goodwill back. But some people are simply incapable of that.

There are still good south park episodes post-trump, although the last 'season' was weak as shit. Their paramount movie was great though.

There have been a couple ok ones here and there, but the overall tone has shifted to be very defensive. It's not a reaction to Trump. It's a reaction to the show's own audience. Again, I'm only using this as an example of how Mike is becoming defensive against his old audience. It happens a lot online these days. You have fans. These are the people who have supported you and carried you this far. And when you make a single mistake and they call you out on it, you insult their intelligence, ignore them, and double down until you spiral into obscurity. Look at what idubbbz did with his fans.

Holy shit you can't actually be this moronic right it was under George Lucas in the first place Star Wars flourished we had the Clone Wars we had the Clone Wars 2003 we had the prequel trilogy we had the sequel Trilogy we had all of Legends all of the best video games including Star Wars Battlefront 1 and 2 the Force Unleashed so on and so forth we were almost about to have Star Wars Battlefront 3 he sold it to these rapists because off Mike and Jay and red letter media the same idiots who believed jj-abrams could make a great Star Wars and believing that well since most of the fans don't like what I do I guess I should give it up it's because of him Star Wars was its own brand completely owned by the Creator and completely or almost the Creator's vision meanwhile redlettermedia is greatest creators vision is space cop George Lucas should be directing movies Mike J and Rich Evans should be directing people to their seats
