reminder that this prostitute got pregnant by a fat dude but she got a miscarriage
How does that make her a prostitute? Fat dudes are her fetish, it stands to reason she'd settle down with one.

This is like if supermarkets were willingly removing corn syrup products from the shelves. It is actually good for you.
Stream piggy slopcel xisters
I'm happy
This is what you get for trusting an all digital future. Stop being lazy and save physical media and download and back stuff on portable hard drives. Multiple copies in case one of them breaks down.
>Oh no Land of the Dead director's cut is going to be lost to time.
They should be paying me to watch this crap
Dude, i use a streaming service with more than 3000 shows on it. For free. Without ads.
Why the frick would i want to save all that shit?
First i got rid of my VHS collection, Then of my CDs and DVDs.
I'm not falling for that shit again.
name of service?
s.to
I prefer bs.to, but i don't know how many shows they have.
Here's their list: https://burningseries.vc/serie-alphabet
you sound like a fricking moron, kys
Soulless drone.
based ark builder
prostitute of Bab is thicc.
As if you gays are immune from this shit. The big companies are finding new ways to force tech obsolescence every day, whether it's through outright dropping support for old tech or just charging subscription fees for shit that never needed it before. And that says nothing for new tech standards that you gays get horny for the instant they drop, (I'm talking about that h.264 vs h.265 shit and now you gays are trying to get everyone to switch over to that new webm type.) Frick all that noise.
I own everything I like and do not pay for ~~*streaming*~~. Luckily, there's nothing new worth watching so I haven't had to buy a DVD or whatever in a bit.
Why are you so afraid of death anon
but don't physical copies break down in a few years? my LoTR and Harry Potter dvds from the 2000s are either scratched to hell or warped in some weird way that they stopped working years ago. and the thing is, I'm not a big movie guy at the end of the day. I really don't care to see a film more than a few times, let alone set up a HD just to store hundreds of backups :/
>but don't physical copies break down in a few years?
No. Unless you're a toddler or someone with downsyndrome sticking the discs in your pants and running around.
eh, diskrot is a weird phenomenon that mostly seems to be random, but also affect people who have shit storage conditions.
either way, piracy is the best option.
I'll just keep using the same philosophy I've used for pirating for the past 2 decades: "Nah, someone else'll do it."
Streamshitters are finally realizing the reality of their moronation.
That's pathetic.
As long as they don’t remove any of the Looney Tunes and Scooby Doos and cartoons like that. BTAS, Superfriends, Flintstones, Jetsons, etc. Best stuff they’ve got in the catalogue.
If they’re just removing new Max Original stuff, I won’t even notice.
You don't own nothing goyim!
No refunds!
it's a streaming service
you can cancel any time, dumb homosexual
settle down, nothing of value is being lost
>According to the outlet, the following six “Max Original” streaming-exclusive movies were removed from the streaming platform: Moonshot starring Lana Condor and Cole Sprouse, Superintelligence starring Melissa McCarthy, The Witches 2020 remake starring Anne Hathaway, Octavia Spencer, Stanley Tucci, the Chris Rock comedy An American Pickle starring Seth Rogen, Locked Down with Anne Hathaway and Chiwetel Ejiofor, and drama Charm City Kings. Not spotted among these names but also cut was LeBron James’ and Maverick Carter’s SpringHill-led House Party remake that was originally set to come out at the end of July.
literal who movies, got it. At least DC animated collection is safe.
It would've been hilarious if the Christmas animation Seth Rogen put out was taken down, but that's probably too old for tax purposes.
An American Pickle came out a year before Santa Inc.
Damn imagine being anne Hathaway and thinking you'll have a resurgence of a career after big bad harv gets out away and 2 out of the 6 movies they pull and erase forever are yours
Witches sucks but Anne Hathaway is cute as a blonde but not enough to care. not really worth streaming unless somebody pays you for the rights, probably no buyers.
Locked Down is her basically being blacked in a romantic romcom, who's it supposed to appeal to? Definitely not a wide audience.
Locked Down is also the only movie that leaned into the “covid” psycho aesthetic of having the characters wearing masks and moronic gay shit like that, trying to normalize it all. And she didn’t even show her breasts. It should be burned out of existence with the force of 40k nukes.
What a forward young streaming service you are!
>Moonshot starring Lana Condor and Cole Sprouse,
NOT MY WMAF KINO
It was obscene how fat lana condor was in this, she didn't even have a kid or anything, just got extremely fricking fat for no reason
But she got big breasts now
You would assume so but no, her breasts stayed the same and all the weight went to her face, neck, gut, and hips. She looks like asian Grimace now.
Annebros, I… I don’t feel so good
that's what already has been removed, lots more to come
Still sets a bad principle. Look to a future of streaming sites rotating old shows in and out of being offered. Disney vault style. To try to nudge viewers over to watch newer show. As a customer happy to just rewatch an older show is more likely to drop a service vs a user waiting for the next new season of a new show.
Then sites can start to run fresh from the vault for a limited time sort of re-release promotions.
As a customer, it’s the old shows that keep me. I can watch comfy cartoons or old sitcoms late at night every night to fall asleep. If it was new shows that I was coming for, I’d just use trials and watch it in 2 days and the discard the whole thing. If this is their strategy, it’s a very poor one.
They already do this but I can see them doubling down on shit like COME SEE THE HOT NEW FAMILY SUMMER MOVIE, THE ORIGINAL LION KING STREAMING EXCLUSIVELY IN JULY
As absurdly shitty as all of those are, I honestly don't ever remember a streaming platform removing their own original programming before
So they're only touching movies, right? Not HBO shows?
>Superintelligence starring Melissa McCarthy
Oh no no no McCarthy bros we got wienery
>the Chris Rock comedy An American Pickle starring Seth Rogen
No one has even heard of this. It sounds like a parody out of a MAD magazine
>Chris they're pulling that pickle movie you made after you're humiliation at the Oscars
>after
it was not after
>you're
this is the kind of moron whining about others being too stupid for their taste
I liked American pickle
Go away Seth
>tfw when I actually watched all of these
god damn the state of film is dark
>>tfw when I actually watched all of these
why would you do that to yourself
What else is on?
No.
Did you enjoy any of them
This is great, what we get here is a list of movies that nobody watched, so worthless that the company would rather remove them to save some money.
Chris Rock had nothing to do with An American Pickle what the frick
Euphoria is safe
It's one of the most watched programs on their platform. they're just removing the garbage critics and journos love but nobody watched. it's hardly a loss. most people won't even realize they're gone
>one of the most watched
>only 300k viewers
Yikes, HBO is a money pit.
not really sure where you're getting that number. I've never seen it but everything I've read would indicate it's doing really well. maybe they're all lying
https://www.thewrap.com/euphoria-season-2-finale-series-high-viewership/
>everything I've read would indicate it's doing really well.
Never ever ever trust streaming services when they boast about their own shows. It's just a form of advertising. Ratings for these types of shows are never revealed. Sambatv claims to have this information, but their numbers are based on social media mentions and hashtags, none of which are indicative of any real popularity.
Euphoria isnt a streaming show and the numbers come from Nielsen
Nielsen isn't a reliable metric either. Nielsen hires a tiny subset of people to wear sound recording devices in order to capture TV signals that are measured by an AI. And this is their basis for saying Euphoria is a popular show? Nah man. That's not how it works.
>start saving the sewage before it’s washed out to sea
Nah.
Who knew terrible shows with ugly shitskin actors and gays at every turn would be roundly rejected by the 90% of the population that finds that shit disgusting
They're removing all the woke shit?
Fricking based
Yes.
It’s almost like the overwhelming majority of people hate that fricking trash
Yet the BlackRock israelites are so cunning that they both force this Black person propganda AND can write it off their taxes. It's so tiresome
institutional investors only control about 20% of Discovery, compared to 65% for Disney. their shareholders might actually be concerned about seeing a return especially without the fed covering their losses.
Didn't 70% of the Warner Discovery stock go to AT&T shareholders?
Welcome to digital products, where you are only renting a license and not buying a product. For vidya gays the same thing is being done by ubisoft and if valve ever goes under, kiss all your games goodbye.
Go woke go broke
Wtf are these homies doing?
Going scorched earth. Now is the time to rip out all of the systemic problems at WB, HBO, and, most hilariously, CNN. That's going to be fun to watch.
strange
WARNED

STREAMING
BRO
Yeah, glad I have my special edition blu ray of American Pickle to watch whenever I want.
Lucky bastard
Only woke trash is getting pruned. This is based.
the crash and layoffs at Netflix were an indicator for them I guess. But it’s not really great news, because it just puts more pressure on “bankable” franchises to stay woke to avoid protests/boycotts. I don’t think all media is gonna swerve away from it.
Good. Bring back the kino era of HBO and get rid of all this nu-TV trash
>removes dogshit movies that nobody watched or enjoyed
>WHY ARE THEY GUTTING THEIR SERVICE?!?!
I don't care if it's shit. Removing content that was exclusively made for it sets a terrible precedent.
And that precedent is…?
That you own nothing. Of course, everyone already knew that, but so far they didn't just remove stuff completely for no reason, with no other way to watch it.
I don’t think anyone, even the dumbest of normies thought they owned any content from a streaming service. That’s kind of the whole point of streaming. And you can still watch shit via torrents and streaming sites.
It’s not that deep bro.
Are you moronic? That’s literally how tv programming has always been, nobody ever though they owned whatever was being shown on tv. It’s kind of funny how little it takes to make you go into hysterics.
It does, and it should reinforce the need for physical media.
First, they came for American Pickle, and I said nothing…
...then he turned himself into a pickle and I laughed harder than I've ever had in my life. Funniest shit I ever saw.
All of these shows/movies are available to purchase on digital platforms and blu ray. Go do some fricking push ups or something and stop making up scenarios to cry about.
Does anyone else feel the timeline shifting? In a good way this time
Name 1 (ONE) single Max original show worth saving
The Staircase
Tokyo Vice
Mare of Easttown
that’s hbo, not max
Meh. It's okay, but not worth saving.
Like all shows aimed at women, it's padded out with too much soap-opera shit.
Thats regular HBO. Along with Euphoria, Succession, Barry, etc.
HBOMAX is:
>Raised By Wolves
>Tokyo Vice
>Peacemaker
>Gossip Girl
>Station Eleven
>DMZ
>Julia
>The Staircase
>Pretty Little Liars
>The Flight Attendant
>Made For Love
>Generation
>Hacks
>The Sex Lives of College Girls
>And Just Like That...
>Our Flag Means Death
>Minx
>The Gordita Chronicles
>The Garcia's
>Rap Shit
>Head of the Class
>That Damn Michael Che
>Love Life
>Close Enough
>The Prince
>Ten Year Old Tom
>Santa Inc.
>The Fungies
as you can see, they were mostly for niche audiences like gays and Mexicans and were mostly women shows (gossip girl, pretty little liars, and sex and the city reboots? holy shit)
>watched exactly 1 show in this list
You know what, go ahead and get rid of it.
It was Peacemaker, wasn’t it?
Hacks, actually. I barely made it through one episode of Peacemaker
I liked raised by wolves and station eleven.
made for love was fine but didn't need a third season. hacks is comfy and I can see it moving to HBO proper. close enough was okay.
couldn't get into anything else. peacemaker wasnt very good, felt like a higher budget cw show. Dropped the staircase and Tokyo vice after a couple episodes because it was obvious they were stretching shit out. our flag means death was too gay for me, Santa Inc was too israeli.
I'm glad this merger happened this year and not last year otherwise we might not have ever gotten Station Eleven kino.
The Julia Child show was pretty book.
>>Head of the Class
Noooo is the comfy old show where the white man teaches kids to be good while pointing out urban stupidity?
>Head of the Class is an American sitcom developed by Amy Pocha and Seth Cohen that was released on the streaming service HBO Max on November 4, 2021. It is based on Rich Eustis and Michael Elias' series of the same name.[2][3] In December 2021, the series was canceled after one season.[4]
lmao
Ten Year Old Tom was great
Close Enough is the only show I have watched on this list because it was made by the Regular Show guy. It's ok, not as good as Regular Show.
>The Gordita Chronicles
>The Fatty Chronicles
What the frick is this. Who decided making thos shit was a good idea? No wonder why they're removing all this homosexualry
Only sad about Close Enough but it never was as good as Regular Show
Head of the Class?
With Dan Schneider?
>Head of the Class
Looks like a cancelled remake.
Funnily enough, Schneider didn't help produce it.
So all the shitty releases have been HBO Max while the good stuff is standard HBO. Good to know.
raised by wolves started out ok
Looney Tunes.
Love and Death
Doom Patrol
nah only the first season waa good
Not even a Max original
After DC universe streaming service went defunct, Titans and Doom Patrol became Max Originals. Says so on the covers
barry
Not Max moron
Ten Year Old Tom
Emmanuel or the red shoe diaries
The Night Of
True Detective season 1
That came out in 2014
Barry
Don't care, it will be on BTN of PTP if they remove anything good. This shit is probably there already
Streaming turning into everything people disliked about old school broadcast networks. We have too many services with too little content over lap. More trash low effort fill shows and movies. Slow weekly release cycles like network TV.
Editing content despite it being on pay services. Canceling series with no real wrap up after just one season. Now it's pulling content all ready released. What's left? Pretty much ads and that's about it. No wonder piracy for video content is bigger than ever.
I can't believe I've heard normies say they prefer the weekly release schedule so they can pace out the show and enjoy it more.
What the frick? Just watch at your own pace then fricking morons.
Actually brainwashed to participate in corporate tactics for growing retention metrics.
I hate normies so much bro, it’s unreal
People don't know how to pace themselves anymore, it's part of the reason so many millennials and zoomers have large amounts of debt because they buy so much shit on credit because they need immediate satisfaction.
I have a friend who likes the weekly release pace so shows can't be spoiled as long as he keeps up. Meanwhile I didn't watch Breaking Bad until it was over after 5 seasons and outside a few meme frame caps posted here nothing was spoiled.
>I can't believe I've heard normies say they prefer the weekly release schedule so they can pace out the show and enjoy it more.
I've had to hear anime fans cry about how streaming has killed discussion because it releases an entire season at once. I don't think that's particularly true and that they can just TALK about what they like, but I guess that's also not really something normalgays deal with.
You can’t talk about something you like, because that makes you a shill for it.
All the shit gets ruined as soon as you go on line
It's kind of a prisoner's dilemma, though. As someone who likes to pace myself and spread out episodes of shows released as batches, there's always going to be some significant group of people who binges the whole thing and then shitposts about it, meaning I have to avoid spoilers for however long it takes me to finish. There's also the hype factor. Shows with batch releases have a lot of discussion for a few days and then absolutely zero after that. I like talking to other people about shows, and I want to be confident that I'm on the same page as they are. That can only really be accomplished by weekly releases.
It’s not normies as much as it was a hard push from marketers to justify their existence. For if all you need to do is drop some shit on a home screen, then why pay marketers? Then if ad revenue is dead, why pay marketers to produce ads?
Netflix basically rendered marketing obsolete, and they pushed back trying to get weekly releases back, otherwise they cease to exist.
The good thing about a weekly release is that you can comment the episodes with your bros as they are coming out, but the vast majority of shows are better when you binge watch them.
Oh look. A shill.
How? For what side? Either you are moronic or that's a very ineffective shill.
See
yeah I'm sure the recent push on twitter for weekly releases are astroturfed but that post straight up said the majority of shows are better binged
Yea, that’s how shills work these days. Message plus undermining of message.
nobody's talking about WESTWORLD
Releasing an entire season absolutelly killed the JoJo part 6 hype, and this is a fact. People would talk about part 6 for more time if they did weekly release, but they released everything in a batch and then people discused for some days and then stoped.
If it was good, releasing it all at once wouldn’t kill “hype”
>Releasing an entire season absolutelly killed the JoJo part 6 hype
All you fricking Black folk do is post threads about WUT KILLED DA HYPE like that isn't ironic enough.
If eight hours of shit dumps all at once it kills a chance to discuss it with others and speculate about what's gonna happen.
See
well a week is too long a wait between episodes but it's a social thing to, and being able to discuss and also avoid spoilers
https://www.verywellmind.com/delayed-gratification-why-wait-for-what-you-want-2795429
be better.
See
and
Frick off. You get 2-3 days of my attention and time. If you think you can have 3-4 months or more, you and your show can both go to hell
Not my fault you have no friends loser
I love weekly releases. It gives me something to look forward to
oh look, a shill
Why would i bother?
post the list?
>garbage woke content no one watches
who gives a flying frick
>NOOOOO HOW WILL I COPE WITHOUT CONSOOOMING NEW PRODUCTS AAAAAA I AM GOING INSANE
They’re going to be having a field day
Like YouTube, Twitter and the rest, streaming needs a constant release of new content. Disney bounces back and forth between a new Marvel show and a new Star Wars show already. It's disposable and garbage. And too many people still pay for it.
>getting rid of American Pickle
eat shit rogenstein
I have been saying this since they started censoring movies on disney+ and netflix but no one listens
>these movies don't matter they suck
all it takes is one movie you care about and it will be to late
JJ Abrams must be sweating. His IMDB still shows him producing two DC movies, and he hasn't directed since RoS.
kek
If we are lucky, this'll be the end of JJ, but I doubt it.
they're cutting costs by removing unpopular shows and movies. Their subscriptions are continuing to increase.
>cutting costs
How? What costs do they have?
According to the article they’re writing them off on their taxes.
Yea, but how the frick does that work?
By spending millions on lobbyist and politicians in Washington for those sweetheart tax loopholes.
>they’re writing them off on their taxes.
Not american, but how is that even legal? If a, say, Kwik-E-Mart burns his goods out of free will, can it get a tax reduction as well?
Sorry sirs, ~~*tax*~~ loopholes are only for the chosen
If you don't make a profit off of it, you can write it off as a loss.
Discovery had to buy a large chunk of the debt AT&T took when they bought Warner when they did the merger so now they have to look for ways to pay that debt off and lightening a tax burden is one of those ways.
>If you don't make a profit off of it, you can write it off as a loss
So if i sit down with a hat for people to throw money in it (begging) and no one does, i can reduce my taxes for the amount the hat is worth?
When your accounting is more complex than a salary earning IRS employee can decipher in an hour, you can do whatever you want.
No. When these corps make a project, they report the amount of money they spent on it to the IRS. If they show the IRS that they made no money off of the project, they can ask the IRS lighter tax burden because they didn't make any money to give them.
Wouldn't they still make more money than what they are saving in taxes by releasing them though?
Not really. Remember a tax cut is just money the government doesn't take from you so less overall money taken from you is more beneficial than making a meager profit but paying a higher tax burden
Same thing with one more step.
data centers
>data centers
They need that anyway. So they are saving what? 50 bucks for another hard drive? Make it a full 100 if they want backup.
wipe it clean
Like are they taking off movies people *individually bought* or are they just pulling stuff from the catalogue?
t. Someone who never subscribed to the HBO streaming service and knows nothing of what it offers
It’s funny watching the shills act like setting a precedent like this isn’t a big deal. As this isn’t like netflix losing the rights to content, they still have the rights, there is no reason to remove the content. They just are for the sake of it.
They’ll probably progress to only having a limited selection available at a time. Read: a combination of broadcast and the internet that is worse than both.
>muh ownership
Then buy the blu rays or download them from the Apple TV store.
Better yet, circumvent the system altogether by pirating.
No one cares dude. Adults have other things to worry about other than getting riled up because a handful of pozzed shows are leaving a streaming service.
I’ll pirate, thanks.
>No one cares dude. Adults have other things to worry about other than getting riled up because a handful of pozzed shows are leaving a streaming service.
It's a sign of the times and adults are aware that this bullshit isn't limited to streaming services.

BMW is now charging $18 per month for heated seats in some countries
Imagine for a moment you're the proud owner of a brand-new BMW 5 Series. One chilly morning, you try to flip on your luxury sedan's heated seats and... nothing. Your frigid rear end sees no relief.
This scenario isn't out of the question. BMW is now selling heated seats — and some other basic features — as a monthly subscription in certain countries. Owners who don't pay up won't get access, even if their car came with all the necessary hardware from the factory.
The move comes as car companies push to make more money from the software in their vehicles. Through subscriptions and the like, automakers intend to generate a steady stream of revenue (tens of billions per year, some say) that continues long after a car is made and sold.
The heated seats cost around $18 per month, with additional options for 1-year, 3-year, and unlimited terms. A heated steering wheel will run you roughly $10-$12 monthly. Some other subscriptions BMW has on offer and their approximate cost: automatic high-beam headlights ($12/month) and adaptive cruise control with lane centering ($42/month).
All of these thing are optional.
You don’t have to own a BMW and even if you do, you don’t have to buy those specific models.
You don’t have to subscribe HBO Max(or any steaming service for that matter)
Your life will go on if you choose not to purchase any of these things.
You seem to be throwing a hissy fit because almost no one cares about this as much as you do. Stop being a perpetual victim.
The point is that it sets a precedent, that you may have to subscribe to a subscription service for more and more things in the future that you don't have to now.
>you may have to subscribe to a subscription service for more and more things in the future that you don't have to now.
You don’t have to do anything. You’re pretending all of this is the end of the world when you have viable alternatives.
Piracy will always exist
Classic cars will last another 100 years if you take care of them.
0 subscriptions required
Go to bed bezos
To me it sounds like you want to be a consoomer but don’t wanna deal with any of the bullshit that comes with corporations. No one here can help you with that.
Unplug from the matrix for two seconds and stop being braindead
You keep diminishing the importance of tv show preservation, and yet here you are, on a board for the discussion of television. It's almost like you're bored and just shitposting
Good little zogbot. Short sighted moron.
some drunk Bulgarian mechanic will hack it in a week
just wire it to a switch somewhere.
They will likely sell the shows like CHAD and Snowpiercer and their movies to other streaming services like netflix. They aren't just deleted from existence, they just want as much revenue as possible.
The reason they’re removing the content is for tax breaks.
I didn’t realize streaming platforms were taxed according to how much content they had
This is only an uneducated guess but I’m thinking it’s kind of like forcing depreciation in real estate.
ie: HBO Max has an X% lower valuation without these shows on the platform so they can write off a chunk of that amount.
I like the weekly format to tv shows when they're quick, cheap productions that are supposed to be released within a few weeks or a couple months of filming. Where you can actually have the same season in production while it airs. But does that sound like an HBO Original, the posterboy of high effort high quality serialized television series? The only benefit of an HBO show being released weekly is to remind the directors that you aren't making a 10 hour movie.
> Gaim
is it any good?
I always found the fruit theme weird and didn't want ot get into it, also I only watched TOS, Black, Black RX, the showa movie trilogy and Zero-one.
Fruit theme leans into some Adam and Eve stuff later on so it's not completely out of left field and unnecessarily goofy. I can promise you it's one of the stronger Kamen Rider series.
Haha, stupid streamgays.
The "Cloud" is just someone else's computer.
>Guy in charge is the guy who made Discovery networks an endless dribble of low budget reality shows.
they were cheap to make and made money. spending hundreds of millions on capeshit shows to get buried in a streaming service didn't. Don't hate the player, hate the game.
if they remove
how to with john wilson
10 year old tom
or life and times of tim
i will cancel
>the rehearsal is ganna get removed
I dont feel so good nathan bros
HBO, not Max
Chinks didn't invent gunpowder
yes they did
No they didn't
yes they did. go ahead, tell me who actually invented gunpowder.
Europeans refining black powder
so yeah, china is the origin of it. and thus invented it.
My mom is Sneed. Cope
You people have nothing. Fricking pathetic
Your mom, she thought she was inventing a new birth control method after having you.
These corporate sons of b***hes will NEVER take my 65 hours of Who's the Boss
>65 hours of Who's the Boss
holy shit where can i buy this
I had to fight a crazy autistic person for over a year to make it after I had already paid him. You can find the link online but the site implies that he will never do a project of this scale again and this DVD set is listed as sold out. You may be able to torrent all 200 or so episodes, but I have never checked due to the HDMI meme being true in my situation.
>Downsize your library of content to save a few dollars
>NOOO WHY AREN'T PEOPLE STAYING SUBSCRIBED
Making exclusive content for Max was a mistake in the first place. If something is not good enough to be successful on cinema or even in tv then no one will watch it on streaming either. That being said, nuking what they already have and killing Max to put it under the Discovery streaming service is simply baffling. Who the frick has Discovery Plus? And who the frick want to watch The Wire or The Sopranos in a Discovery streaming? What the frick are they thinking.
Theaters are dying a slow death and almost everyone releases their movies to their streaming service a month after theatrical release and many people will just wait for that instead. Encanto was a flop in theatres but found success on Disney+
>but found success
Oh, because Disney released viewership data?
Don't play stupid, the show blew up in popularity and Disney rereleased it to theatres to capitalize on it.
>show
Broken bot
oh no this movie might get erased from history
it's like 1984
I hate Seth Rogen so much it's unreal
>Another non-monitary perk of taking off titles is that it's unlikely to overwhelm new subscribers
how fricking moronic do people have to be? "If we offer them less, they will like it more!"
For the love of God please tell me this won't affect the service as a whole and just HBOMAX content. The only reason I have this service is because it has AS, TCM, and classic CN.
It's unironically a problem when your service has too much trash. People always complain about browsing for hours looking for something to watch on Netflix and they end up not watching anything because everything is garbage. But yeah. Removing things they already made makes absolutely no sense.
Having shit on there doesn't make it so you can't pick a film or show
it's not having anything good on
The whole concept of tax write-offs for shows infuriates me.
If they write off a show, it should go into the public domain, but instead it basically means the studio just hoards the IP and it can never be legally released anywhere ever again. Being a Megas XLR fan is suffering.
That's not how it works. When a show is written off, the government just takes the rights to the IP, the same copyright laws apply in this case. If someone is willing to pay off the tax debt for Megas XLR, they can take the IP.
S what is stopping Disney or Netflix to pay the tax and stream the shows on their platforms?
Discovery would charge them way fricking more for that shit than it'd be worth for them to have it in their libraries. Discovery isn't trying to "build up" WB, it's trying to cut costs and get quick cash any way possible.
I just want to know how/why DISCOVERY CHANNEL is suddenly a media powerhouse
This is Taco Bell replacing all restaurants level.
The thought of Discovery Channel, a paid TV channel about nature and shit, actually buying WARNER FRICKING BROS. is insane to me.
>merging
Fix'd. Still insane, tho.
Is a cute name for being fricking bought.
>we merged bro! We’re equal now bro!
>one party of the “merger” is calling all the shots
It’s one of the millions of examples that the world ended and we’re actually living in hell
Further still, it’s not even nature shows (except for the pride of npcs and Reddit the world around: Shark Weak). It’s just reality shows for rednecks.
I never really thought about them at all before they bought WB either, but apparently they have a shitload of cash because all of their shit is cheap as frick to produce and still makes the same money as everything else on TV.
I think they're starting to become somewhat of a villain for a lot of people in the industry right now (and I think it's fairly deserved) but at the same time WB has put themselves in this situation through their own incompetence.
>a random ass company is going to come to dominate its field
Demolition man was made by time travelers.
Their shows cost next to nothing to make and watched en masse by old people who can't into streaming so they were able to tuck away quite a bit of money
>This is Taco Bell replacing all restaurants level.
that could've happened before ~~*they*~~ got on their ass about their menu and force them to start making it "healthy." as all you need is beans, cheese, and some meat, wrapped in a flour tortilla to make shit literally everyone wants.
i still miss their old menu
So if i buy stocks and they tank, i can hand them out to the government and reduce my taxes?
No, stock is not a product
You can write-off losses on stocks here in burgerland, yes.
You wouldn't give it to the government, you'd sell them and report the loss you took on them and deduct that from your taxes. Likewise when you sell them and make a profit you pay taxes on the profit. If you don't make any profit you never pay any taxes.
However if you're really shrewd and rich you wouldn't sell at any point and instead use them as security when taking out debt which wouldn't count as income and thus isn't taxable.
>When a show is written off, the government just takes the rights to the IP
This is literally not true at all lol. What writing off is doing is telling the IRS “Sorry guys, we did not make any money on this project because the cost outweighed the return. Please let us pay less taxes so that we can keep investing money in more projects”
>Sorry guys, we did not make any money on this project because the cost outweighed the return
But that's not true at all either. They just stopped selling it, so it's no wonder there is no return.
>Made up shit from peoples minds goes into israelite purgatory until someone pays israelites for it
Every single person in the US government should be shot in the face on live television one by one, and Israel should be nuked off the planet
HOW DO I DOWNLOAD IT?
I'll just continue using BTN like the patrician I am. Thanks.
Streambros.... we lost....
>poor people are dumb
I didn't know kelly was so based
who the frick even cares about Discovery in 2022. They have Shark week and.... Mythbusters reruns
Stop all the downloading!
BLOODBATH
Maybe for once normalgays will learn about the value of actually OWNING the media you care about, aka, file sharing
Only things that worry me is Evil dead Rise and the Venture Bros movie.
Rise at least has apparently test screened so well that now it may now be going to theaters next year instead of hbo this year
I just need a list, i have hbo max
but i am also a member of a tracker from eastern europe
so i can get most shows in good quality
i just hope people make a list
they are definitely removing deadwood because those boys sure said Black person alot
I have my full 19 disc box set of the Nanny complete with bonus features and commentary by Fran Drescher.
Let all the streamers fail I say
>mfw I have to pay other rich israelites my money to consoom their pozzed goyslop propaganda
I can’t believe there are so many people on Cinemaphile that don’t just watch pozzed trash, but actually pay for it. This place really is Reddit.
tax write-off? huh?
>START DOWNLOADING STUFF OFF OF HBO MAX BECAUSE THEY'RE TAKING STUFF OFF IT
What could possibly be worth downloading from there that is so worthless to WB that they would rather throw it away as a tax writeoff ?
I got westworld season 1 and 2 on disc, that's about the only HBO show I cared about preserving anyways. Didn't watch and don't care about the later seasons
oh so they are literaly doing tax write offs now to stop the bleeding?
i offer NOW the moment for homosexuals to complaing about my list

Fricking what?
