just done caring about who is and isn't currently dead
I'm pretty sure every single one in OP's pic has been dead at least once before >Nightwing getting "killed" that time villains took over the world and then becoming a spy >Jason Todd getting famously voted into "death" and then crowbar'd/bombed by Joker >Damien getting "killed" by his clone >Batman getting "killed" by Dorkseid >Steph getting "killed" by Black Mask >Cass getting "killed" by Mad Dog
don't recall the others getting "killed", but I wouldn't be surprised if they also "died" before
Technically, Babs had a cognitive brain death when she merged with an evil AI version of herself, and we've been following a copy in a skinsuit ever since, but I guess "technically" she didn't "die".

I fricking HAAAATE what they did to Babs and Oracle. Frick the New52
Alfred would obviously take Alice's spot in the middle. The artist should do a print of this with Alfred in the center regardless of his state in current continuity, would probably sell well.
twitter is pissed about Cass being in the background. Kinda funny that this admits that Cass and Steph can only draw dimes as a package deal. But also kinda fricked up that the memedog gets a bigger pic than her.
>Steph
>Needed
>Jason
>Damian
>Steph
Yeah that's a no for me.
>Dick gays
Begone
Where is Alfred?
He was murdered for no good reason
Tom King killed him and much like DC’s refusal to age Jon back down they also refuse to bring back Alfred
But he was the best part of the "family" aspect of Batman.
Yes but has been established many times before, Tom King is an Awful writer
Yin Yang Yo is still better guys
Wtf are you talking about?
I think thats a 2000s flash cartoon, don't know what that has to do with Nightwing tho.
Remove all of the Batgirls and Robins then you get it
The family needs a mother
Wasn’t there like a female reformed bad guy version of Alfred Jason had in his rebirth run?
Are you talking about Ma Gunn?
>no Alfred
cringed
Hes dead.
>death
>in comic books
Hey
At least wait for 2 more year before they bring him back

Tim "died" when an alternate universe version of himself abducted him.
Unlike the others who have died, Alfred is still dead in the book and its been used as a plot point. It would be weird for this cover in particular.
Babs got TKJed. Unlike the rest that walked off their deaths, Babs got fricked.
is this a porn parody or something?
Babs became a good character after tkj tho.

People are mad that they called this the "core batfamily"? Honestly they are being generous to Cass and Steph by including them.
why is Cass in the back?
Because dc.is desperately trying to make her part of Bruce's family
As oppose to Tim who still got living parents that cares about him? The rest of the people in
outside of Tim and Barbara either have dead parents, neglectful parents, or directly related to Bruce.
>As oppose to Tim who still got living parents that cares about him?
Hasn't been the case for 20 years. They were back to being killed off as of two years ago and the new-52 origin was barely ever referenced.
Tim is an adopted orphan again. Such is the fate of all robins
I mean make Steph apart of Bruce family
Jason shouldn’t be there, he is better alone.
>Red Hood
Give me a good reason why batman needs him.
Red Hood is the wildcard. Every team needs a wildcard.
Everyone can play that role. Cass, Batwoman, Clayface and Azrael can be the wildcard.
A wild card has to be unreliable and those three don't really apply.
unpredictable =/= unreliable
Every bat character can be the wild card.
Every family has a black sheep and Jason is Bruce's
Tim is the blacksheep of the Bat family though.
Tim is the middle child, not the black sheep. The black sheep is the one who bucks against the family the most and that's not Tim.
This is correct. Tim is both physically and figuratively a dick sucker.
Something about this art makes all these characters look insufferable.
Alfred, Batman, Catwoman, Babs Batgirl/Oracle, Nightwing, non gay Robin. That's it. All you need.
Where’s Cass?
Right behind Steph.
Damn, didn’t see her. Oh well, it’s alright if she’s shy
twitter is pissed about Cass being in the background. Kinda funny that this admits that Cass and Steph can only draw dimes as a package deal. But also kinda fricked up that the memedog gets a bigger pic than her.
The frame is really two small for the both of them. It's still better than being entirely left out.
Positives
-No Duke
-No Black Batman
Negatives
-Alfred still dead
-Tim present
-Barbara present
No Batwoman?
Kate hasn't been in the family as long as the others. And they just like the dog better.
Funny how she's never included despite being a literal blood relative of Bruce.
didn't that militaristic lesbian c**t kill Cassandra's best friend Clayface?
frick her, the batfamily doesn't need that kind of person
Clayface never died. He just faked his death to get away from the Bat family, more specifically to get away from Batman.
If you put Cassandra Cain in the center then yes
And where is Jean-Paul?
superior but I guess they got along too well except when Bruce was having one of his bouts with autism
All you need are Batman, Robin (Dick Grayson), Alfred and Ace the Bat-Hound. I don't care about the rest.
Alfred and a single Robin ( and I mean an actual side kick ) is all that's "needed"
Babs and Dick Grayson Robin would be nice to have
