Peter was never a loser in high school, it's a misinterpretation since most gays don't read comics. He was loner in high school and a general dickhead to everyone which is where his talent for quips comes from. He didn't become humble Peter until Uncle Ben died

Americans of Cinemaphile explain this to me. So in your current media. An author writes/draws a comic or book, that makes everyone white and blue-eyed. Stuff becomes popular, the media tries to adapt it making racial quotas and this and that char change from palest to darkest, and from straight to rainbowsexual. The fans get pissed, the left praises them because muh representation, and the author who made everyone white gets a pass because he says: I'm ok with this.
This is stupid on so many levels...
        1. The left is praising a material that they consumed that is what they supposedly hate. So even if you change this adaptation, the original is still around and everyone can see that no one was gay, black, or asian in the first place.
        2. The author does not get any heat from the cancel mob if he nods at them.
        3. The fans get pissed because, but the original work is still around, you can still read it, its annoying that everyone just will talk about the netflix/amazon version but if they want more content. They WILL have to deal with the original .

It begs the question: where is the issue? In the end isn't just the question: is this story/film/book good? Can I enjoy it?

        >But there is too much gay/brown it burns my eyes, makes my knee hurt.
Then just skip this iteration there surely are others that won't be like this, be it old media or newer. And the original product is still around.

Star Wars, Star Trek, He-man, Marvel, DC, Saint Seiya, I love all these media all of them have a revised version, where everyone is something they are not in the original I have seen the new stuff, and if the new story sucks I just skip it. It's just a phase eventually this will lose steam and everything will be revised again. And the original work will be the starting point.

Because Sony can't make shows. Disney's approach to non-MCU stuff is to let it rot. Theoretically Sony could do animated movies, but Disney plays hardball on them like that. Sony could've continued SSM as movies, but when they edited a collection of SSM episodes as a movie as a test Disney got pissed at them.

They like pairing Spider-Man with other heroes. From Spider-Man and his amazing friends to these MCU movies. In Ultimate Spider-Man comic didn't Kitty Pryde go to his school for a while? And in the Ultimate Spider-Man cartoon he has another team of z-lister heroes.

Goth is in and Nico is one of their least problematic asian and LGBTQ characters without the baggage or desperate pandering that the others bring, her only downsides are boring ass Karolina who Marvel already shot her off to space limbo never to be used again, and Nico's Sister Grim identity has 0 iconography to it, which will hurt in the long run as a part of a superhero universe.
She also doesn't have decades of solo books to draw off of so she's a blank state you can do nearly anything with.

I think it is mostly that most hispanics self insert just fine as white and usually sit on both sides or the middle of the current American racial debate, while blacks mostly have firmly taken the Whites vs Us narrative. So Hispanic Superman would probably annoy as many hispanics as it would please, while Black Superman will probably be embraced by 80% of blacks.

I mean it's pretty explicitly trying to rewrite history and get people to associate "original comic Spider-Man = woke diversity", same thing with Spider-Verse looking like comics and focusing on Miles. The point is to get people who never read the comics to defend the diverse garbage by claiming it was also in the comics, because they saw a comic-looking animation with diversity once.

Comics rewrite history. Its why Superman's office has computers when he leaves smallsville instead of type writers and telephone booths.

Peter was never a loser in high school, it's a misinterpretation since most gays don't read comics. He was loner in high school and a general dickhead to everyone which is where his talent for quips comes from. He didn't become humble Peter until Uncle Ben died

Him being a loner and a dickhead complaining about the popular kids can be described as him being a loser.

Seems like semantics. You don't really have a point.

It's set in a modern high school, nothing has changed except what Americans look like

        >Him being a loner and a dickhead complaining about the popular kids can be described as him being a loser.

And that's where you're wrong. Peter was invited to hangout but refused because he saw himself above them and was focused on his future success. People think Flash bullied Peter for no reason but it was actually because Peter was a dick to people trying to be nice to him

            Anonymous

Yeah, this was just before Flash went left for Afghanistan because he was currently serving.

Peter was basically made to come to his going away party and they had an overdue address of grievances in which Peter says 'You bullied me and my highschool life hell' to which Flash replies 'Dude, you were so high and you farts you looked down on everyone. The one time I asked you for help with homework, you made of me for no real reason. I definitely didn't help, but you made all the enemies at school yourself'.

It was a nice moment to show how both characters had grown and how the past can be painted pretty differently from reality.

Anon, the point I made went over your head. You're arguing semantics (meaning of words), in a rather petty way and it's pathetic. You seem to have a specific interpretation of a loser. You could easily describe Peters actions of that of a loser. Plenty of losers in school had arrogance and thought themselves better than others which made then prickly.

So I was not wrong in anyway shape or form. You just have a specific interpretation of a word when most people would call early Parker a bit of a loser. Do you understand now? Or do I have to explain it again?

            Anonymous

You're making the mistake of using your personal perception as fact. It's a common misconception that Peter was "a loser" he wasn't, part of that myth stems from the FOX cartoon and the Raimi movies. Peter wasn't a loser , he was a loner, he could have had friends but chose not to

              Anonymous

You're literally accusing me of doing something you're doing. You're using your bizarre perception.

A prickly loner can be described as a loser. You're just being narrow with your definitions of words. Which is based on your bizarre perception.

The stuff about Raimi is your projection and strawman because I never said any of that. Quit putting words into my mouth I never said.

My argument is you are playing semantics. Early Peter is a loser. You have a specific interpretation of it. Rainis loser Peter is a different type of loser.

          >People think Flash bullied Peter for no reason but it was actually because Peter was a dick to people trying to be nice to him

Are you utterly moronic? A high school loser is just someone that doesn't fit in for x reason. Ditko Spider-Man was a loser, a different type to Raimi movie Spider-Man. His peers didn't all know he was a superhero. From their perspective he was a loser. From the audience perspective he is anything but.

      Good question

      Anonymous

I think it’s the same reason as to why we never got any comics or shows depicting the adventures and missions the Avengers had between movies. And why What If? is regulated to only characters that are depicted already in the MCU. If you introduce a new “MCU version” of a character in another medium then any new director or writer that signs onto the MCU to make something is going to be beholden to that or find a work around or else your thing is no longer canon and loses a big part of its appeal like what happened with Agents of Shield. Likewise if you only use random goons and OCs and no actual supervillains from the comics no one is going to care. So this is basically the compromise. But honestly aside from the MCU connection fake out this is sounding pretty good ignoring the people still mad that an inner city Peter has brown class mates instead of going to a school that’s pre-civil rights segregated so that he can have an all-white cast.

Not sure if you don’t actually live in America or were just home schooled so have never heard about it but neighborhood zoning affecting the population of schools is a thing in America. And a lot of more well-off white people live in suburbs and nicer city neighborhoods and so their schools are pretty white and typically much nicer than the schools in the less well off areas. The people left in those less nice areas are oftentimes brown. Those brown people oftentimes are not able to afford to move their kids into the nicer white neighborhoods. So the schools have a much higher percentage of brown kids compared to white kids even though the total population of white people in America or a given city is higher. There are still some white kids in those schools whose families don’t move into suburbs or put them into private schools but not nearly as many compared to the brown kids. Peter would absolutely fall into that category, This isn’t some woke SJW agenda. These are conditions that white people literally created and the show is depicting that more realistically than most shows on TV. You being ignorant of that aspect of American society is more on you than some sort of failing on the show or movie’s part.

Oh sorry anon I forgot to bring my explanation down to your level. Let’s try this again: White people don’t like living near brown people. While people move away from brown people. Brown people can’t afford to move away. The schools where brown people can’t afford to move away from end up having more brown people. The MCU Spidey show and movie are accurate.

Were you able to read that? I can’t simpler if you need me to, anon. I really want to make sure you understand this concept so you don’t go around looking like an ignorant c**t for the rest of your life <3

Jesus frick you don't know a damn thing about how school districts function then. School population is typically based around the population of the county they reside in and last I checked Peter grew up in the suburbs, his school being majority brown would be unlikely

No? It’s based on the immediate neighborhoods that feed into a school. That’s why you have poor neighborhood schools being made up of more black and brown students and richer neighborhoods having schools that are predominantly white.

School districts are but individual schools are not. And the population of specific schools is based on the neighborhoods that surround them. Individual school districts don’t determine where a person goes to school. That’s why people move out of certain areas and into other neighborhoods within the same city. You can have rich and poor schools within the same district, you fricking idiot.

hilarious how you guys always like to parade statistics out as though that has any real impact on stuff like this. If someone was in a mostly non-white neighborhood that doesn't mean they will have all non white friends all of a sudden, the same holds in reverse. People go out of their way to choose who to be with. And apparently in this case that is what Peter chose.

This thread is funny because you have people like

              >In Queens?
              46% white
              19% black
              23% asian

Queens is majority white and Hispanic. If you want to defend this shit at least know what you're talking about

Trying to imply that majority brown schools don’t exist because of population statistics and therefore the student body shouldn’t be so brown. And then you have

              amazing
              I love it

Which has more brown adults than kids posted as some sort of argument too as if a good amount of people in that image aren’t just random people that pop up for a few minutes if screentime.
Then you finish it off with

It’s a misnomer and you fricking know it, while you forcefully push the wrongs of the host countries you ignore the wrongs of the “minorities” because the media tells you to. This is what’s going to happen when the whites become minorities in their own homes, and you knowot

About how brown people are invading a beautiful white nation and the media is trying to get you to let your guard down so that the white race will be eliminated. All of that ignoring the fact that many places in the US that have high minority populations are that way because white people moved out because they didn’t want to associate with minorities.

And because the MCU is depicting where Peter would live and the people he’d live around more accurately than the comics from the 60s as a reflection of historical segregation this is supposedly an example of the Hollywood liberal globalists exterminating the white race.

Seems to me you guys just don’t like seeing brown people and all and just want them not to exist lol

The mcu depiction of peters social life has been bland and not a great representation of how much of a dick he was. But the race bending shows how they have no idea what to do about creating new characters so just have black characters stunt on him to give homosexuals like you a conflated sense of importance

You just don’t like seeing quality content, hence why you cream yourself over shitty rehashes that do nothing but shit on the source material

Actually his social life has been way more of a focus in the MCU than other film series. Not all Peters have been dicks. MCU Peter is closer to Ultimate Peter who had more of a social life And nah I’m just not some loser who never leaves his bumfrick small town nor thin skinned as to start screeching about white replacement every time a non-white person shows up on a screen lol

Seems to me like you just love seeing white characters turned to black for no reason

It just doesn’t really matter so I therefore don’t shit myself over it. It makes sense in the context of this Peter’s time and world regardless of whatever population statistics you want to post without context, anon.

Ultimate peter sucked and had no friends outside of MJ and Harry and even then those depictions were bland and empty. Raimi got him down decent, where his social life suffered due to him being spider-man despite having a decent cast of supporting characters who were there for him. MCU threw away and pretense of his drama by eliminating the secret identity the moment they could. That’s why all of his supporting cast was bland and toothless, they were the safest possible characters to present to tasteless homosexuals like you

MCU doesn't operate off traditional super hero cliches where identities are kept secret and operations are calndestine.
