Not immortal but will live a very long time apparently. The problem is that it's uncertain how long he will live, he won't produce any rightful heirs, and of course the thousand year reign of any one individual is certain to have bad outcomes. Paradoxically, thrones need to change hands for kingdoms to remain stable -- ideally peacefully and in a manor that the people of the kingdom largely agree with (a first born son, heir apparent). Otherwise petty lords and citizens become listless. Change is always desired.
Imagine in a thousand years Bran looking like the Old Raven in the tree, people wondering is this fricking guy gonna croak? What do we do? Who is going to be king? War happens. This would probably happen every hundred years so long as the future of the throne was in question.

They could complain a lot but the convenience of Bran being on the throne is that he can absolutely slap someone's shit who plots or outright dissents from his decisions
