No DC movie or series is as good as pic related and its extended universe, and that shit was all ages friendly. I'm tired of the Nolans and Snyders ruining something so pure

There was no reason for this to be a Batman movie and would have worked better as a vigilante crime thriller. Just like with Joker, there was no reason for this to be tied to capeshit other than for the guaranteed money the franchise name brings in. Still, overall, it's an okay movie.
Nolan gets a pass since he was the first to do the "gritty" reboot.

there's nothing wrong with the occasional fantasy/pulp/schlock movies
It's taking way too long for sequels to come. It's become the standard that a sequel will need 4-7 years to be finished. Actors age a lot in those years.
i think it originally leaned much harder into the noir/serial killer/Sopranos angle and the studio mandated they scale it back to capeshit standards hence the completely out of left field spectacle ending with Qanon trying to assassinate Michelle Obama
