That's basically it too. Like Puss in Boots has no character and serves no story function. They have a good "Guess Who's Coming to Dinner?" kind of story going at the start but that's abandoned for the antics of the body shifting.
Shrek 2 was their 3rd CG film, following Antz and the first Shrek. It is worse and less charming than both. Antz and Shrek 1 are better "PG in name only" animation films than this. They stand the test of time more.

You can't deny the original is a visual treat. The CGI from 1999 and 2000 is very soulful. There was real care put into how it looked, since the screenplay was great and they only made 1 film before (Antz), meaning they were full of entusiasm/energy.

Shrek 1 is a timeless classic. Shrek 2 is reddit incarnate and overrated as fuck. I never bothered with the rest or their spinoffs.

The godfather is the most overrated movie of all time. No one watched it and those who claim they watched probably watched a 10 minutes video with the plot on YouTube.
