This shit is the male Titanic.
Why is a navy pilot still obsessed with one of his colleagues dying 40 years ago?

It's called a "friend" you autist. Maybe if you had any and got one killed, you'd understand.
The character is 60 years old. Of all the things that will have happened to him by this time, all the family joys and losses, all the other people coming and going into his life, the pressure of currently being engaged in a dogfight that might result in the start of WW3, etc., it's still the co-pilot that he knew for 6 months that is at the forefront of his mind.
It is ridiculous on a personal level and even more ridiculous with regards to elite combat readiness.
You ain't got no friends bro.
You can't understand.
Holy autism, Batman.
>all the family joys and losses
What family? The guy's life has literally been on pause since the end of the first movie, they make a point about him not even gaining rank in all that time, still stuck at a point in his life where everything changed. He never got over it because he's still resenting himself for what happened, even if it wasn't his fault really, and Ice was the only one who saw it. This shit isn't hard to understand.
You are either baiting, a troony or a woman
Either way I pity the fact you will never understand friendship
Man I was just frickin around when I called you an autist, but after reading that I just feel bad for you.
>6 months
he clearly knew him for years of service on his original post
then he got him killed.
then he helped his buddy's widow raise their son.
it wasnt an event that just stopped.
You are literally autistic and have no friends
You're right, despite these homosexuals
Still a great flick though
>male Titanic
but for homosexual
He's obviously reminded of Goose again because he just so happens to be training his son at the time the movie takes place. Did anyone here actually WATCH this movie?
He starts "speaking with Goose" as he's bombing the Iranians. What training.
I always said so. Top Gun was always a kitsch Jersey Shore movie but they're army pilots so it's okay.
because Maverick is gay and the last time he was in love was when he was with Goose
You wouldn't get it. If you can't understand a man being stuck in the past you're either a woman or a low t male feminist. You're probably the same scum that says Sam and Frodo were gay
when someone dies on your watch, you can suffer an immeasurable sense of guilt. now imagine that’s your best friend and consider how it could feel. I don’t expect zoomers to understand however, you probably can’t fathom combat and likely have no conscience.
The takeaway is tv anons on their deathbed will dream of summercamp boyfriends that they roomed with for 2 months.
I'm probably not arguing with anyone over 25 here so it's my fault for expecting anything different.
Shut up b***h.
Go home and take your gay little thread with you.
Hit the treadmill and perhaps my prognosis will be wrong
Good luck
>Why is a navy pilot still obsessed with one of his colleagues dying 40 years ago?
It's obviously implied he's gay . Lived alone, no family, fake short term flings with women
Modern zoomer mentality, where two characters cannot share a deep bond unless it's somehow sexual. Truly the most brainlet take of the decade and I am sick of seeing it everywhere.
they’re programmed by porn and internet exposure. everything is programmed. they will be the skip generation, society will move along and rebuild with what we’ve learned from them. their women already belong to millennials anyhow.
He cares more about the guy than about women
There's no one in the movie with a girlfriend/boyfriend except for Goose. They all live identical lives.
If you watch the interviews at the beginning of Band of Brothers, those guys burst into tears thinking about lost friends decades after the fact. It's not something that waers off.
Memories are formed from emotional impact not from time. It's the same reason I can't get over the girl I knew for a couple months 6 years ago
Never have a friend before OP?
I have, just wouldn't be the first thing on my mind when I'm chased by 4 Iranian fighter jets 40 years later.
