Disney was the first with enough vision and financial backing to try and create pure art with animation. I deeply love the gag cartoons of this era, but it’s obvious why this was the studio that surpassed all the others. The golden era of animation was true to its name, the best we’ve ever had.
>80 years of advancing our technique and technology >we end up with products that look worse, nobody likes, and cost literally 1000 times as much to make
It will be remade, it will be remade with gay skunks, and Bambi's mother will not die (it would be fridging; by not including that element, Disney will finally be atoning for its corporate habit of violently abusing women via fridging).
>Bambi's mother will not die
Im pretty sure they've already planned to change the scene due to moden children & their parents are too sensitive.
You think I'm bullshitting? Search up bambi modern audience.
I've been hearing about this from my family lately and they're pissed as hell over it. I'm more confused why the frick anyone feels the need to remake Bambi to begin with
Weird they would change that when they had no problem with Mufasa dying in Lion King
It would be fine if they find some unused material from the original 1940's version and they release a restored edition but this doesn't need a remake.
I don't even see the reason for why they chose to remake it. The original is so pretty, truly an artistic masterpiece when it comes to technique, what could they possible do? It's not like the story is dated or something, so there is literally no reason for them to do this.
I mean, a remasterization would be ok, but not a rework of the original movie.
I remember the first time I saw bambi on TV in HD for the first time since being a very little kid. I kind of stunned by how beautiful it is. it's a shame it has a stigma of being a film for literal babies, it's a real work of art.
this is completely moronic.
Fantasia was cutting edge in many aspects, especially how it was recorded- The First Film to be in Stereo. but it wasn't just stereophonic recording...it was above and beyond they were intent on developing a whole new kind of sound system for films, it was the actual primary goal of the project.

>Walt pulled out a gun and demanded every single fricking raindrop be individually animated based on high speed camera footage.
Except to include a gay frogs scene for inclusion points.
Gay skunks*

I honestly always forget how good this film is, and then by the end it's always a 10/10. What a nice surprise.

>He himself crafted the stigma that damaged western animation
This is not true
This is an evil message. I assume you post it deliberately with malicious intent. Perhaps you are not even human but some kind of demon.
