tell vito's story in its entirety, then tell michael's, then the flashback to the birthday party (that they definitely had brando show up for, trust us)
Not really. The whole point of Godfather 2 is the contrast; without the flashbacks there is no movie. It`s all about the family. For Vito becoming the godfather was a way to ensure the well being of his family while Michael is so consumed with growing the empire that he inadvertently destroys his.
I agree, but I never cared for the parts about Young Vito. Also the absence of Sonny and Clemenza and Marlon Brando, who were so fantastic in Part 1. I like Part 2 but it's not a masterpiece like the first
I really don't know - Godfather 1 was kino, so when I heard how the sequel is generally considered one of the best sequels of all time I was shocked at the drop in overall quality. Its probably the single most overrated sequel I can think of.
the book was better. The only good part GF2 had was in the book, Vito rising to power.
I don't want to dislike GF2, but Roth was a terrible antagonist.
My cat avoids all human food, you could leave a tasty piece of chicken on the counter and he wouldn't look twice at it. He's very easy to take care of in that way.
1>2>3
just like LOTR
2 > 1 > 3*
Fixed it for you, bro.
I agree
You people are on drugs

Godfather 2 has some great performances but the plot is all over the place and the flashbacks stop the movie dead
maybe a 3 part structure would've helped

I liked the flashbacks, but they do kind of feel misplaced in the pacing.
Yeah it tried to redo the "mob treachery" plot from Part 1 but it's not as cohesive, or as interesting.

Yes.
All the scenes in Cuba were kino, very rare and unusual setting which was fun to see.

the courtroom hearing was so uninteresting
performances aside, how did people honestly see this as an amazing movie, let alone on par with the first?
they prefer cool cold calculating Michael

Superior version
is this the one where the lead actor and actress I don't like, and I have no standards so that makes them extra terrible?
>Godfather Part 2
>no Godfather
Michael is the Godfather in 2 dumdum
You don't get a new Godfather when your old Godfather dies dumb zoomy
I don't think it was a bad movie but it bored me, the first one was more entertaining and you could root for Michael
Why would a cat even want cheese?
my cats like shredded cheese
fresh bread crumbles
(vanilla) eggo waffles
and my boy eats watermelon
pic unrelated, I don't have an orange cat

Oh that's lucky. I had one once who would drink from every open cup, never learned what was his and what wasn't.
based cats can you show them
here's my favorite
cute
I'M SMAHT!
You should have watched it before your lobotomy.
