Because if you're a straight white guy you need to be Vanderbilt tier connected to get a career in media.

Morrill, Gillis, Normand , and List all had specials that went straight to YT. Meanwhile shitty upper middle white class white women, black women, and indian guys are being shilled on HBO, Showtime and Netflix.

White men will always be funnier that indians, Asians and women. Back when American was 'le white supremacist' black guys were allowed on TV because they were funny.

Women and non white, non- black guys will never ever ever be funny and there is nothing you can do about it.

On April 10, 2007, Cook broke the Laugh Factory's endurance record (previously held by Richard Pryor)[25] by performing on stage for three hours and 50 minutes. Dave Chappelle would break the record five days later by performing for six hours and seven minutes. Chappelle beat that record on December 3, 2007, by performing for six hours and twelve minutes.[26] On January 1, 2008, Cook broke Chappelle's record, by performing on stage for seven hours.[27]

Paul Mooney poisoned Chapelles mind, probably convinced him Dane Cook was racist trying to beat Richard Pryors record. Speaking of, wasn't Bill Burr actually the guy who laughed at a Chapelle show joke and Mooney convinced Dave he was laughing "at him" instead of the bit itself which caused him to have a career ending meltdown and run away to Africa?

his podcast is so funny because he started it like 7 or 8 years ago with his comedian friend when they were both grinding the comedian life playing small clubs around america.

fast forward to today, they still do the podcast. but Sebastian is now selling out arenas and his cohost continues to play rinky dink clubs and grinding away, and has sort of accepted his position there. And they are still doing the podcast every week

but it's an interesting dynamic though, his friend doesnt seem too butthurt or jealous about it which is refreshing as most people would cause some sort of drama eventually.

DUDE i just LOVE the hustle and bustle of the big city, it’s so DYNAMIC and makes me feel like i’m in one of my favourite TV SHOWS. you should totally come on down to my studio apartment, it’s got EXPOSED RED BRICK walls and everything, we can crack open a nice hoppy ipa or three and get crazy watching some cartoons on adult swim! and dude, dude, DUDE, we have GOTTA go down to the barcade- listen here, right, it’s a BAR where us ADULTS who do ADULTING can go DRINK. BUT!!!! it’s also an ARCADE like when we were kids, so we can play awesome VIDEO GAMES, without dumb kids bothering us. speaking of which megan and i have finally decided to tie the knot- literally -we’re both getting snipped tomorrow at the hospital, that way we can save money to spent more on ourselves and our FURBABIES. i’m frickin JACKED man, i’m gonna SLAM this craft beer and pop open another one!!!

Nia Defense Force in full effect. Legitimately wouldn't surprise me if she broke some money off from her personal bank account to pay an indian spam center to post updoot shit like that too lol

This is just fricking sad man. Burr built an entire career on calling out this dumb bullshit and then bends over for it immediately when he finds himself a woman. All of that would be fine but why the frick did he think anyone wanted to listen to her hot takes on his podcast?

at this point we can only pray that she divorces him and takes half his shit and we get some real based burrkino. but it's not looking good

To be fair, he sticks to his points and doesn't bend over backwards to agree with his c**t wife about how the question is so totally ugh sexist and unacceptable to ask, but jesus fricking christ how does he stand being around her all day

Burr, Chappelle, and Rock are not funny. They've been rich and famous for so long that they're lost their edge. CK has become funnier after being an obnoxious bore for so many years because he's legion of bawds tier now.

Louis CK. I didn't mind his wife material because he clearly hated her but now that he's divorced, much funnier.

    >ah you know BROS this is WHY I decided to TAKE THE VACCINE, because WE the WHITE PEOPLE tested it in WHITE PEOPLE LOL

The special was horrible, except for Jeff Ross and Dave Attell, but the COVID jokes were the worst part of all, so tired of hearing the same "I became a fat frick in lockdown!". And Bill Burr saying opinions (instead of actual jokes) about vaccines and facemasks. The whole shtick about Burr was that he was angry, but now he spurs normal, regular, opinions.

love patrice but why did he only have one major comedy special after decades of work on stage? surely he’d have a ton of material to make another special or two before he stroked out

He was either too lazy to do another, made a decision not to because it wouldnt help him financially, burned bridges with whoever would help him produce another, or some combination of all of those.

For a multitude of reasons I think this was the best path Bill could have taken. His last special sucked, so he might as well serve as a host to others. Even if this sucked too the blame is spread around more.

He used to be really funny but a combination of living in L.A., getting older, married and becoming a dad sanded down his edge. Now he can frame stuff in an edgy way with the curse words and the telling but the message is just boring now. Not that he was destined to lead the revolution but saying people should wear masks and get vaccines discredits any idea that he's some rebel.

who would have known that the comedian who's entire act relies on smart ass remarks would have a shitty special? what would make you believe watching an hour of this shit uninterrupted would be in any way entertaining?
