    Fricked with me
For CGI, it's solid. It evokes what you get out of The Thing, almost. It's disgusting. You know, for CGI.

Saw it during the pandemic and was already a boozing mess so it shoved me into a weird sub-depression. Had a dream that everything was going wrong and external forces were corrupting everything but no one noticed.

Movie was ok. Read the story before though so I wasn’t that interested. The story is highly overrated. I see so many rate it among live crafts best but I thought it was mediocre. I would absolutely love a love of insmouth or mountains of madness. Those are great.

I loved the slowly building horror since the beginning and when the truly horrific shit began to happen i was so ready to watch it again once it ended.

Was ok. Lacked any kind of particular substance, but it was well-made and performed.

Pretty fricking solid adaptation, I really dug it. Didn't pull punches. Stylish. I'd like to see more from the director.

As a fan of the original story I really enjoyed it. You can't really do much with such a short story, if anything the film would be even better if it was a bit shorter.

Remember that magenta isn't the color out of space. It's just portrayed that.

Something you can't see with human eyes.

Off our visible spectrum. But the cosmic insanity comes from you being able to see it, or something. Like a mantis shrimp. I dunno.

better than 99% of the shit out there this century. that being said, it is hardly a perfect film. in fact, far from it.

I saw Color Out of Space on the big screen and can't honestly remember much other than it being CGI-infested. I was hyped because Richard Stanley has shown he has the potential to make kino on a budget with the classic Hardware. But there was nothing out-of-ordinary with this one. To be honest, the only thing I remember was the slimeball-fusion between the mother and the son. It's a typical Lovecraft-movie, a 5-6/10, whom makes the classic Lovecraft-mistake in the magical execution of presenting the unknown a bit too known (camera-work, sound, details, are all a bit too sensable to not make sense).

Intense, very moody, one of those movies that stick with you for days.

I saw Mandy after that, and CoS is miles better.

I watched it just now and my takeaway is that I think The Void might be better. The acting seemed fine and some visuals were spooky but everything seemed very on the nose. I expected lovecrafty stuff to be a bit more subtle but its literally just outright bad people live in spooky house ayys come and frick shit up, the end. There's no ambiguity and none of the characters are good enough people to make their fates meaningful.
Except maybe the sheriff. But then israelites gotta just shaft the working man in favor of the magical Black. A little cringe.
