First is better. Del Toro was experimenting with CGI in the sequel and the film has become dated because of it. Also didn’t care for Del Toro’s approach of making the vampires “scary”. It’s Blade, not necessarily a horror film. Everything is supposed to be cool. Cooler than a zombies heart.

I only remember the ninja CGI being bad, all other CGI was good, really good, the vampires burning effect was a clear upgrade over the first one. I don't see any defect in this movie, if only they killed Donnie Yen too easily for someone who was arguably at Blade's level, that's always been my main complain. The movie oozes 2000s atmosphere, i get back in time everytime i watch it, same as the first one.
