Yeah I know that's what I'm saying. The studio hasn't claimed its all AI for this movie. They've been pretty heavy handed with saying how many practical effects they're using actually and are proud to have the effects guys from Aliens on this movie. I don't think they've said they're using AI at all.
Trailer gives me literally zero reason to be interested. Trailers are supposed to be the opposite of that, where they're putting their best foot forward, so I assume the rest of the movie is worse than what I've seen in the trailer.
Visually it looks fine, but seems like it's just going to be more Zoomers cosplaying in a franchise that always deserved better. I hope I'm wrong. I may be a fan of the originals, but I'm not stupid.
I am cautiously optimistic, especially since they're largely using practical FX made by the old farts who worked on ALIENS. Then again, I was cautiously optimistic for Ahsoka. Oh well. As long as I get one good shot of hot throbbing alien ovipositor shooting its load of eggy goodness down a voluptuous young woman's throat, I'll be happy. Gotta take what you can get you know.
